Round-edge furniture and curved interior architecture create a comforting, touching design aesthetic. Round furniture makes it possible to form arrangements with a smooth and easy flow, no matter what the size of the room. In compact spaces, rounded edges are the perfect solution to avoid awkward corners and tucked shins. In a large living space, curved furniture can make a distinctive and striking focus. These sleek individuals work beautifully when paired with elegant architectural arches, round feature windows and serpentine partitions for a cohesive theme. Alternatively, sharp geometric contours can make a clearly contrasting option. Take a look at these two round-home interiors for curved inspiration.

A curved sofa immediately shows the shaped theme in the center of a smooth white and gray interior scheme.

The deep curved bases of the coffee tables set a heavy, palpable aesthetic. A free rug design creates additional contrast underfoot.

A coffee table book and decorative glass bowls adorn the two tables, while a set of decorative vases fills an attractive round borehole in the microcement partition.

The interior window is shaped to complement a number of round feature windows and rounded rectangular windows within the main architecture.

The TV was mounted to one side of the round aperture in the partition wall, which gives each of them equal prominence in the living room layout. A view of the neighboring dining room is visible through the gap, which gives the living space an open, free-flowing feel.

An elevated wooden platform creates a two-level layout in the living room. The space under the platform is open to give the feature a light, floating effect. Three hovering access steps reinforce the illusion.

The platform is used to raise a small seat to a wonderful natural panorama of tree-lined hillsides.

Indoor plants bring natural greenery to the living room, to further blur the lines between inside and outside.

Cylindrical silhouettes form a small side table and a matching coffee table in the raised seat. Project chairs create attractive, comforting curves, and echo the round architectural embrace.

The thick partition wall between the living room area and the adjoining dining room follows a relaxed curved path to avoid disturbing the silky smooth surroundings.

The glossy metal frame of the modern chandelier makes a light-reflecting contrast with a room with mainly matte finishes.

The interior window facilitates a natural light part between the two separate living spaces.

The round dining table coordinates with the curve of the modern sofa through the connecting window.

The limited tonal palette of the interior emphasizes the shaped thread.

A ribbed glass vase forms a textural connection between the base of the pedestal dining table and its main ornament. A modern fruit bowl performs the simple arrangement.

The kitchen creates a contradiction to the rounded theme, with a sharp, geometric island design.

Corner sides define the unique kitchen island, which gives the kitchen its own distinctive atmosphere.

Inserted track lights glow brightly through the subtle cement ceiling, adding to the sharp change of theme, and exaggerating the linearity of the island below.

Sliding doors simplify the kitchen tower units behind the island. Black integrated ovens lie dark in the wood effect.

Wide shelves contain cutlery and decorative accessories. Glass glasses contain the fashionable ribbed textured accent of the dining room.

A huge custom sink projects itself into the island counter.

An interlaced inductive hob completes the workshop.

Coastal atmospheres wash through our second prominent home interior. Shells, waves and footprints in the sand emerge from its round, pebble-gray furniture and free-form corners. A hexagonal coffee table creates a cut of exact contrast.

The textured carpet creates a barefoot feel, while a wall of unique niche shelf niches nourishes the eye.

Curious design objects fill the hollow surface of the unique coffee table. The sunken column chapter is a small-scale model of the Capitello chair of Franco Audrito and Piero Gatti. The highlight is The Knot by Stockholm sculptor Tove Tengå.

The palpable, irregularly shaped floor lamp next to the sofa appears to be a modified version of Eny Lee Parker Oo floor lamp.

Glass arches climb to the high ceiling height, accepting glorious sunlight.

Geometric floor tiles compensate for the rounded decorative elements.

Wall tiles were cut into a curve to finish the kitchen back spout, which completes a round base unit.

The creative back splash transforms the one wall kitchen composition into a piece of functional art.

Refrigerator SMEG green SMEG brings back-inspired curves.

A green chimney extractor draws the accent color. A copper kitchen faucet makes a brilliant addition.

An open kitchen shelf follows the top of the tiled back splash, ending in a matching rounded corner. Glass jars create an attractive open storage area for dryers. Small plants add green bloom.

A range of wooden cutting boards connects with the rustic look of the rich wooden and ceramic kitchen layout. See options for cutting board and knife here.

Sleek Geometric Villa In Mallorca WIth A Glass Facade

.

On a 1,000 square meter southern plot of land, Villa Anguli overlooks Camp de Mar, Mallorca, from a privileged high position. Created by E5 Living, the modern Mediterranean residence of 399 square meters has spectacular sea views that have influenced its geometric architecture and elegant glass facade. Superior interior luxury is realized in chic modern furniture and a clean minimalist approach. White walls, lots of light and high ceilings make it a perfect gallery space for an avid collection of contemporary works by Damien Hirst, Andy Warhol and Banksy. The artwork injects vibrant bursts of color over three floors of seamless spaces, each drawing to the panorama.

The geometric architecture of Villa Anguli projects along a sharp oblique angle of its built-in base on the hillside. This irregular shape allows the villa to absorb glorious sea views across the entire width of its elegant glass facade.

An original, wide-width roof project enhances the geometric nature of the architecture and shades the interior from the strong sunlight.

Isolated high on the hillside, built into the rock, the villa is surrounded by amazing views to sea and sky.

With views of the cool, sparkling waterfront, there just had to be a pool here.

The wide pool project extends along the width of the villa, disappearing suddenly under the sloping wing.

A high perimeter wall privately separates the villa from the road.

At night, the exterior lighting scheme ignites excitement around the terraces and terrestrial grounds of the villa.

Glass railings invisibly surround an elevated walkway into the villa from the pool deck, leaving the vast windows of the facade unobstructed.

Soaking yourself in the pool while looking over the gulf feels like diving into the light blue sea itself. Cap Andritxol headland rolls away.

An outdoor lounge is arranged on the pool terrace, to take advantage of the excellent Mediterranean weather. In the luxury villa is developed an interior living room with a double living room and a formal dining room. Four large dining room hanging lights descend from the impressive ceiling height in the center of the space, where bluer skies cut through the white concrete structure.

The longer side of the sofa look inward to the fireplace. A comfortable puff provides a small footrest to toe toes in the winter months. A large regional rug extends a comfortable cream base under the modern living room layout. A range of gray accent cushions contrasts with the cream sofa upholstery.

The wide latticed roof treatment creates light play through the floors and terraces, which resemble a deck or pier that leads out to the sea.

The interior plan pales within the spectacular architectural manipulation of space and light. Sunlight flows through clerestory windows that frame artistic views of the roof line and skyscraper. Retractable walls fuse the in-outdoor living experience to embrace the island’s beautiful climate.

There is a peaceful harmony between the views and internal distribution.

High quality materials form the modern construction.

Artwork by some of the world’s leading artists gives an attractive color and character.

Wide open interior spaces, long white walls, high ceilings and abundant light make this home an amazing gallery.

After dark, a stunning modern lighting scheme of subtle inserted spotlights, perimeter light strips, stair lights and flush-fitted wall lights set the whole place. The distribution of light pays equal attention to art and architecture.

The entire upper level is dedicated to a luxurious master bedroom series. Up here, a courtyard grows a tropical jungle theme in the center of the floor plan. On the one hand, the green interval makes a delightful wall …

..On the opposite side, the enclosed mini-jungle breaks the corridor to the master bathroom. Arranged cupboards line the opposite side of the passage.

An exit terrace has views of the coast.

A narrow internal corridor leads to each of the three-story bedrooms, but they are also pleasantly joined outside by the sun terrace.

The artwork that creates a striking draw at the top of this staircase is Kindness, 2011 by Damien Hirst.

Sandy beaches, water sports, great restaurants, cafes, shops, and the 18-hole “Gulf of Andratx” await at Camp de Mar.

Puerto Andratx lies just 5 minutes away for more bars, restaurants, shopping, shops and the yacht club.

Palma International Airport is just a 25-minute drive away.

On the ground floor plan, we can see the equal scale of three double bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Sliding glass doors unite the bedrooms with the outdoor space and pool. We can also observe the angular nature of the open living area that cuts the cantilevered sun terrace. The ground floor of the villa was evenly divided between indoor and outdoor living spaces, with retractable walls blurring the boundary.

The upper floor plan illustrates the main series in detail. The actual bedroom is located just in front of the villa to plant the bed at sight. The bedroom also connects with its own sun terrace, which is set up along the oblique corner of the living room below.

There is also a spacious, private roof terrace. A parking garage for three cars is located behind the villa and leads directly to lift access to all floors.

Subtle Grey Interior covers this modern apartment interior with a sense of calm and refinement, while classic details add history and character. Displayed by Alexander Belkov, the home is designed to embrace the modern coveted open plan living space layout with a large kitchen dining island and a dedicated space for the mandatory home workspace. The master bedroom is a serene gray and white separation scheme, where a houndstooth upholstered bed adds a fashionable yet playful interaction with the simpler parts. Traditional intricate crown molding and ultra-contemporary stripes create a beautiful contradiction. A stunning bathroom gets the last hint of neoclassical charm from cleverly paneled molded walls, defined under soft mood light and sharp black finishes.

A deeply cushioned and welcoming modular sofa extends through the center of the airy open concept living space.

A light and textured area rug connect the sofa with the TV wall of the living room.

Immediately behind the sofa, brandy colored Faint a lounge chair designed by Space Copenhagen for Fredericia and a matching armchair form an elegant reading area at the windows.

The TV wall project is made up of elegant modern panels with a fresh white oak lacquer layer. A modern TV shelf cracks right into a corner below.

A modern floor lamp serves the reading area when natural light from the windows is not enough.

Recessed mood light creates a comfortable glow around the paneled TV wall.

Black Venetian blinds accentuate the series of large windows within the simple white-painted wall.

A small wrap-around side table attracts the black accent to the soft white sectional sofa layout.

A traditional, intricate crown fusion frames a ceiling of modern, niche stripe lights. One-way headlights provide a more focused light.

Behind the open plan of a living room, the kitchen is tucked into one corner. The position sets up clear zoning, and keeps the daily kitchen mess and clutter out of the simple sight of the relaxed spaces.

An induction hob lies at the other end of the white quartz kitchen island; an integrated extractor provides a simplified finish.

White floor tiles glow brightly under a long strip light. Under-closet lights focus on the kitchen sink and preparation area behind. A tower unit on both sides balances the kitchen, where they contain an integral oven and the refrigerator.

The white home entrance is heated by a wall of wooden lacquer cabinets. Recessed perimeter lighting highlights the attractive wood grain.

A huge round mirror adorns the opposite wall of the square home entrance. The backlight design plays a uplifting role in the gray painted wall. Two modern rustic stools furnish the limited floor area.

Moving into the master bedroom, a houndstooth bed holds a playfully structured headboard.

The serene bedroom has a gray and white dividing pattern, where a raised gray panel along the hood wall hides an LED ribbon. The LEDs emit a golden aura around a contemporary bedside table that matches the silhouette of the side table in the living room.

At the other end of the upholstered bed, a different style of side table changes the aesthetic. Modern bedside lamps fall in a hot red light.

The large textured area rug creates a soft walkway around the bed, and connects it with a unique toilet next to the window.

A raised wooden plinth is hidden in the glare of the warm white LEDs, and provides extra drop-down space for phones and books.

A fluffy puff makes a comfortable landing at the wooden vanity table.

The bedroom TV wall follows the same gray and white split decorative style, with the white base section adding an attractive stone texture.

A bold, linear TV adds a beautifully smooth wooden accent against the rough stone.

The cracked wall therapy continues directly across the face from the bedroom door, mixing it quietly into its surroundings. Traditional crown molding makes another delicate look around contemporary strips.

Gray and white decorative candles bring the gray and white tonal contrast into the details.

A full height mirror reflects the entrance into the bedroom’s dressing room.

A black-painted ceiling differentiates the walk-in closet from the rest of the bedroom project.

The black ceiling is balanced by a wide black shoe sole on the bottom.

A custom wardrobe provides a set of hanging rails, clothes racks and raised boxes.

Atmospheric lighting leads us through the bathroom, where it flows from a high and narrow shelf niche that takes away a collection of favorite toilets at the pool.

The modern bathroom linen has a ribbed base unit that provides a palpable contrast to the smooth stone roof and integral basin.

The ceiling is surrounded by an LED strip over the vain unit, to provide a focused task light over a fieldless vanity mirror.

Wall-mounted cannon-metal gray faucet adds an edgy modernity to the sink.

Dark bathrooms sharply define the key areas of the bathroom. A modern red plate pierces the toilet area, while a wide valve plate is centralized within the shower.

A second niche of tower shelf provides the design of the shower space.

Panel molding gives the bathroom an elegant, neoclassical style.

Prices and Types of Flooring Tiles in Pakistan

Guide for flooring tiles and their rates

Bathrooms and kitchens were previously the most typical places in Pakistan to find Flooring Tiles. In contrast to mosaic or marble flooring, which would have been historically popular in residences, now it is widespread and completely fashionable for newly built houses to employ tiles as the most frequent flooring type. As a result, if you’re renovating your home’s flooring or building a new one, you’ll need to know what type of tile to use and how much it’ll cost. Keep on reading as we go so over different construction tiles available in Pakistan, as well as their prices based on sub-varieties, brands, and some other criteria.

Types of Flooring Tiles

Let us discuss the most common varieties of floor tiles in Pakistan

Ceramic Tiles

Ceramic tiles are one of the most popular clay-based tiles on the market. They are mined, prepared, and molded before use. Their ability to blend in with almost any type of interior décor will astound you. Ceramic tiles’ most important features include their long lifespan, variety of applications, and strong resistance to scratches and abrasion.

They can sustain years of constant foot activity thanks to their durability. They provide a diverse range of design options. Ceramic tiles feature matchless colors and patterns and thus are usually covered in a durable finish. Ceramic tiles, but will not be used outside because they cannot withstand the heat and therefore do not adapt well to the freezing temperatures that winter brings. They have a proclivity for moisture absorption.

Porcelain Tiles

Someone frequently classified porcelain tiles as ceramic tiles because of the subtle differences between them and ceramic tiles. Porcelain tiles are made of denser clay but are fired at greater temperatures than non-porcelain ceramic tiles. As a function, the material is much more durable and resistant to harm. Porcelain tiles, unlike standard ceramic tiles, can be utilized outside because of their low porosity and improved resilience to cold and extreme temperatures.

Porcelain tiles are available in polished and unpolished finishes and thus are suited for a range of domestic and commercial applications with light foot traffic. They also are available in glazed versions, but this is less durable.

Granite Tiles

Granite tiles are the best choice whether you’re planning to put tiles in a high-traffic location. They’re made of granite, a dense and durable igneous rock. This rock’s speckled minerals and unique veining not just set it apart from other materials, but the mix of the two also ensures that neither two granite surfaces are alike. Granite tiles have such a fantastic reputation in the flooring industry because of this. Luxurious establishments get a strong demand for them since they are produced in a large variety of colors and have a great aesthetic value.

The natural and durable material utilized aids the scratch-resistant surface. Granite tiles are light and tiny in size, making them easy to work with. They are also acid-resistant. Granite tiles, like marble floors, are highly porous and stain-prone. However, once polished, they perform admirably in terms of scratch resistance.

Travertine Tiles

Travertine pieces are made of travertine, a form of limestone found in hot springs, natural spring springs, and caves all around the world. The material comes in a variety of hues and has pits or a rough texture that is caused by air bubbles and organic materials. Travertine tiles have such a beautiful surface that illuminates and provides your interior area with a natural look.

The durability of the travertine material can be judged by the fact that it was used to build the ancient Roman structures which can be seen in Italy today. As a result, the travertine is an excellent choice for temples, sculptures, and theatres. It is now commonly used in the construction of pathways, restrooms, pool decks, as well as other areas in which there is a lot of water exposure. Travertine is 100 percent biodegradable, giving it an ecologically friendly material. It’s both long-lasting and easy to manage.

Even though it’s a less expensive alternative than some other high-end materials, travertine tiles still are pricey, and so many people cannot afford to install them.

Slate Tiles

Slate, which is mined from natural mineral deposits, is one of the most popular floor coverings. It aids throughout the production of extremely durable tiles while still inducing natural beauty to give your floor a stunning appearance. The material can maintain a room warm even while providing a safe flooring option because of its high slip resistance. Regardless of the fact that slate tiles are less expensive than marble and granite tiles, they still are regarded as high-end and attain a greater price than ceramic tiles.

Sandstone Tiles

Sandstone tiles are designed to give your outdoor spaces a deep, natural feel. Pool surrounds, patios, and walks are among the most typical applications. Sandstone tiles come in many colors, patterns, and sizes, and they add a great earthy touch to every space.

Matte Vs Glossy

As stated earlier, a print, design, or pattern is applied on ceramic and porcelain tiles after they’ve been cooked throughout the kiln. The magnitude of these effects can vary, as well as the resulting pattern can be glossy or matte.

Matte tiles are commonly used in kitchens and bathrooms where there are a lot of water spills because shiny tiles could be highly slippery in high-traffic areas. Shiny tiles give the floor a sheen and add elegance to a room’s appearance, rendering them more popular in lounge spaces and drawing rooms. Granite tiles will not have prints imposed on them since they are made of natural rock, and they are usually available in matte varieties with a coating applied to give them even more enduring.

Half-body Vs Full-body

The amount of wear and tear that full-body and half-body tiles can withstand is the key difference. Concrete pavers are always half-body, which implies that after they are manufactured, a thin layer of paint is applied to a tile. Porcelain tiles, on the other side, come in half-and full-body variants. Because the printed layer on half-body tiles is just a few centimeters thick, when the tile is broken, the top layer would be exposed, exposing white or red clay beneath.

Full-body tiles, on the other hand, are designed to have their color, pattern, or design walk the length of the tile. When these tiles are chipped or filed away, they expose a second layer with the same design as the first, rather than a patch of clay underneath, that can be unsightly. Granite tiles, unlike the other two, are always full-body because they are cut from genuine rock.

Round-edged Vs Laser-cut

Tiles have always been put with a certain number of spaces between them, which are filled with grout. Depending on the manufacturing methods used and the material used, they could be round-edged or laser-cut. Granite tiles, for example, always are laser-cut away from the rock, resulting in sharp edges. Ceramic tiles, on the other hand, normally have rounded edges, but porcelain comes in a combination of both options.

What Type Of Tile Should I Use And Why?

You now know about the three most common varieties of flooring tiles in Pakistan; choosing between these may well be influenced by a variety of factors, such as.

  • Size
  • Strength
  • Durability
  • Target area
  • Availability of patterns
  • Ease of installation
  • Cost

Here is another quick rundown of the factors to consider about this before deciding on the tile that’s right for you.

Size

Tiles come in a variety of sizes, with 1224 inches, 1236 inches, 1824 inches, 2424 inches, and etc being one of the most frequent for central living areas. Larger square tiles are recommended for lounges, drawing areas, and dining rooms, in short. The most common sizes for corner walk-in showers are 912 inches and 1218 inches. Some individuals, though, prefer to use larger tiles in restrooms because they make a small space appear larger.

Tiles come in a variety of sizes, with 12*24 inches, 12*36 inches, 18*24 inches, 24*24 inches, and etc being the most frequent for central living areas. Larger square tiles are recommended for couches, drawing areas, and dining rooms, in short. The most common sizes for corner walk-in showers are 9*12 inches and 12*18 inches. Some individuals, though, prefer to be using larger tiles in restrooms because they make a tiny space appear larger.

Strength

Granite is by far the most durable alternative available, however ceramic is the most vulnerable to breaking and damage. Porcelain tiles will be in the middle of the strength spectrum, but they outperform ceramic equivalents.

Durability

The durability of a tile also is determined by its strength. This implies that of the three alternatives, granite is by far the most durable. Granite also is easy to polish and restore to its former brilliance over time, but porcelain and ceramic tiles may have to be replaced.

Target Area

Because ceramic and porcelain tiles are not too slippery, they are commonly used in the kitchen and bathroom, while glossy tiles of both types are ideal for central living areas where water spills are uncommon. If we truly want your kitchen to survive, go along with granite tiles, which are not only more water-resistant than the other two but also more resistant to damage, cracks, and chips in the event that you drop a large pot or pan on the ground accidentally.

Availability Of Patterns

Geometric, floral, wood, and a variety of many other designs are being printed on half-body ceramic or porcelain tiles, leading to a new boom in the tiling sector. Full-body porcelain tiles, on the other hand, have fewer variations since it is more difficult to create a wide variety of ideas in the clay mixture before firing it. However, since granite tiles are produced from actual stone, there is indeed a restricted range of patterns from which to choose.

Ease Of Installation

Ceramic and porcelain tiles are simple to construct on cement floors because they are bonded with a layer of glue. It can be installed as a do-it-yourself project as well. Granite tiles, on either hand, require specialized installation. An ordinary tile mason can charge between Rs. 22 and 25 per square foot, but if you really want the greatest finish, choose who charges between Rs. 32 and 35 per square foot.

Cost

The cost of tile flooring in Pakistan is an important factor to consider. It flooded the tiling market in Pakistan with foreign ceramic or porcelain tile possibilities. China, Iran, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Spain are also the main suppliers of ceramic tiles. Chinese or Irani tiles, but are also the most frequent, are the cheapest, costing around Rs. 800 and Rs. 1,000 per meter (approximately 3.25 feet). Manufactured in Malaysia and Indonesia, a slightly better quality of tile is accessible in the store for roughly Rs. 2,300 to Rs. 2,800 per meter. The best quality tiles in Pakistan originate from Spain, and they begin at Rs. 2,800 a meter and then go up from that.

Porcelain tiles, on the other hand, are classified according to whether they are full-body or half-body in terms of cost. Half-body porcelain tiles start at roughly Rs. 1,200 per meter, whereas full-body tiles up to Rs. 2,000 per meter. It’s important to note that this was just the beginning price for porcelain tiles; branded and imported kinds might be considerably more expensive. Granite tiles are usually of good quality, with a long lifespan and great strength. As a reason, their typical price per meter is somewhere between Rs. 1,000 and Rs. 1,200.

If you consider the factors listed above, you know you’ve got a choice not only between various types of floor tiles in Pakistan but as well as between the features you want in your tiled flooring or the amount of money you have put down for a home repair and construction project. We’ve provided all of the information so that you can make an informed decision about your home’s flooring specifications.

72 Weirdest Building Designs

If you ever feel that some architects live in their own fantasy land, you are not the only one. The buildings they create can range from majestic to magical, and they are sure to captivate your buttresses, stoic columns, angelic balconies and formidable facades. However, you may sometimes get the idea that some of these art innovators haven’t fully considered some things – like the fact that people actually have to live and work in the built-up buildings.

We have some dreamy and confusing buildings to show you today, dear pandas, so take off your opera glasses, get yourself some popcorn, and let’s go through the cream of the crop of the ‘Bizarre Buildings’ subreddit. Take a look at some of the most beautiful buildings people may have a hard time living in, vote for the ones you enjoyed the most, and let us know which one you would choose as your home in the comments section.

I chatted nicely about architecture with Dr. June Commissioner of Ryerson University. Dr. Komisar, who is a specialist in architectural design, the history and theory of architecture, and design for urban agriculture, told Bored Panda for professionals to seek inspiration from the “wise” ancient Roman writer Vitruvius. “What he said about balancing goods (suitability of the building too needs), firmness (structural integrity) and joy (the aesthetics of the building and its relationship to site and context) still holds true.”

# 2 The Interlace – Singapore

# 3 Cat Shaped Kindergarten, Germany

Dr. Komisar has shown Bored Panda that no matter how good an architect is, they will not be able to be prepared for all possible problems and contingencies. “But understanding the local conditions and evaluating other buildings using the same construction techniques and materials can help avoid problems,” she said.

I was also interested to find out how architects can innovate and create originality when sometimes it seems like every idea has already been made. According to Dr. Komisar, the changes do not have to be something profound. Start small.

# 4 The Evolution Of This Building Can Be Seen In Its Masonry

# 5 Pavilion Of Enlightenment, Thailand

# 6 The National Carpet Museum In Baku, Azerbaijan

“Innovation does not have to be radical, but can be an incremental change that will benefit users and society at large. Today we have a huge opportunity to build sustainable buildings that approach or achieve ‘net zero energy cost. Using local and/or sustainable materials, designing for passive and/or active solar and wind energy, designed for very low energy, and renovating and adapting existing buildings, we can help mitigate climate change. ”

Dr. Komisar continued: “Dealing with this environmental crisis is not only an issue we need to address, but it is also a tremendous opportunity for project innovation. Addressing these concerns will undoubtedly introduce a variety of creative solutions.”

Architecture is a hard crack. On the one hand, it is a very functional and rational field of action that literally projects the spaces in which we live, work and sleep. On the other hand, it is an artistic expression form on the same level of importance as function. After all, if you intend to build something (anything), why not make it amazing?

So of course it’s up to the architect to solve an engineer’s constant riddle: how do you innovate and create something iconic, while also making sure your building doesn’t cause a stir and denounce it in the news?

# 12 Original 1930s Shell Gas Station

No 99 Designs draw attention that buildings should be pioneering, showy, and come out of their surroundings. And that means bending the rules and capturing (at least some) conventions.

Paradoxically, however, the architect is also very aware of the surroundings of the building, using them as a complementary background. You can still have your modern masterpiece if you pay homage to the more traditional surroundings of the building with the details, colors, etc.

And it is in relation to the surroundings that your choice of materials and the way you shape your project comes in – they are deeply expressive decisions that you should consider as soon as you start outlining your ideas for your project.

And always always remember that even though you are creating a work of art, it must be practical. Otherwise, what is meant by architecture, when sculpture would give you the full freedom to express yourself?

Be sure to visit the community if you enjoyed the photos on this list. Come in for a quick ‘hello, how are you?’ or consider also posting a strange-looking yet utterly amazing building.

You heard it here, folks – your regular holiday decor bizarre just won’t cut it. You have to go for bizarre. Start the weirdness until eleven, so even Alice thinks she’s still in Wonderland. Just remember that when you innovate, you also have the ability to make a good climate too!

Colorful artistic accents make fascinating additions to this peacefully gray and white modern interior, pictured by Maxim Spinkov. The bright eye-catching art pieces come in the form of stand-alone sculptures and unique murals that explode from simple white backgrounds. Other artwork inspires richly colored coordinated feature walls that completely change the character of the spaces they inhabit. In addition to the home’s colorful gallery, this interior also plays an inspiring collection of contemporary furniture, a wonderfully open and fluently functional living room, a relaxing master bedroom, a playful children’s room with a homework area, and two striking bathroom decorations. schemes with a dominant marble tile.

Entering this family home at the living room, we come to a modular sofa design with a shared backrest. Instead of acting as a solid separation between the living room and kitchen dining room, the lightweight piece allows for an open view between the two.

A square coffee table makes a quiet match for the contemporary sofa. Gray scatter pads join with the pale gray padding.

In an amazing color attitude, huge Ursbriko A collectible from Medicom Toy shines between the two large windows of the room.

A pair of tower shelves glow warmly inside the TV wall at the front of the lounge area, where a small library of books fills the vertical backlit corners.

The sleek, custom-built TV encloses several storage cabinets and niches in which pleasure is appropriate for the TV speakers. A wooden lacquered media cabinet threads a linear silhouette under the wall-mounted unit, where it provides drawers for movies, games, and electronics.

Behind the living room, a linear chandelier marks the dining room. A second, perpendicular linear chandelier defines the kitchen.

Stunning ceiling roses blaze around every golden light. Modern track lights frame decorative ceiling molding.

A racetrack dining table is surrounded by the A new chair by Marija Ružić Vukmanić & Ruđer Novak-Mikulić for Craftsman. A monochrome piece of wall art was chosen to keep the dining room moderate and to allow adjoining kitchen art to dominate the fame.

The bold kitchen art sets a bright abstract interest next to a pure white kitchen island.

Fresh white kitchen frames frame a set of metallic gold top cabinets that glow in the light. A combined golden island face catches the light behind a set of three unique kitchen bar stools.

In the master, a pair of elegant glass and metal bedroom pendant lights swing on either side of the bed. The lights go down inside the recess of a wooden framed mainboard feature wall with an atmospheric aura.

Simple bedside drawers flank each edge of the soft gray padded bed.

Parallel track lights flow light along each walkway around the modern bed.

A solid black media shelf confidently complements bold black door hardware across the closets.

The black media shelf transforms into a dressing room as it approaches the window wall.

Modern bathroom canvas pushes black and oak accents through a smooth white marble covered background. Black bathroom cranks complete the dark surface and integral basin.

The black toilet, red plate and black towel warmer continue the sharp bathroom accent.

A steel framed shower screen coordinates with a black rain shower. Built-in shelf corners in the shower provide an opportunity for subtle mood lighting.

Advancing into the nursery, we land on a playful black and white carpet.

Superhero Bobbleheads fill a built-in bookshelf, warmly lit with LED ribbons. A custom children’s desk merges with the tower of shelves to form a compact and functional homework assignment.

A padded swivel chair and radiator under the desk make homework more comfortable and convenient.

White window blinds and clean white cloths filter natural daylight for more comfortable use of a computer screen.

Floor-to-ceiling fitted wardrobes capitalize on every inch of available storage space.

A piece of colorful and beautiful children’s wall art inspires an orange painted feature wall in the children’s bedroom decorative plan. A green knitted throw on the baby bed chooses a secondary accent color.

The day bed designs a beautiful sofa during daylight hours – perfect for hanging out with friends. A small wall unit provides reading light later in the evening.

A striking white marble tile with an abundant black vein dominates this small bathroom project, covering the narrow floor and compact vanity.

At the other end of the room, a marble enclosed bathtub and a wet wall are highlighted by perimeter lighting.

A final marble surface climbs the cistern’s hidden wall.

A red saturated wall draws the eye down the corridor from the white living room to the home entrance.

Red paint wraps around to frame a decorated, gilded full-length mirror.

A hoarse color bursts from a wall art on the other side of the front door, where it draws attention to an entrance table. White closets line the walls of the home entrance, providing ample stock for outdoor coats, shoes, bags and huge home cleaning equipment.

Equal white closets create a mirror effect on the opposite side, bordered by luxurious gold hardware.

These three modern home interiors are inspired by fresh Scandinavian style decorative elements while highlighting an elegant Asian distinction. In fashion, a graceful arch motif unites the aesthetics of the Japandi interior apartments, along with a warm natural wood tone and a clear white color palette. Displayed by Elemental Design, This group of inspirational homes is designed as contemporary family units with functional open plan living spaces. Practical storage ideas use small hallways and home entrances, bedrooms are multifunctional with clothing areas and home workshops. The children’s rooms are beautiful, colorful and compact, with fun ideas for children’s closets, built-in bookcases, tailored bed designs, children’s desks and adorable decor.

A warm tan accent thread is woven through the first of our three featured interior designs that perfectly complement natural wood tone elements within the plan. Color coordinated version of a Leon: The Professional print balances inserted shelf niche. The modern sofa has a tan ottoman section, while Around coffee tables designed by Thomas Bentzen for Muuto hold things purely monochrome against a geometrically designed Scandinavian rug.

On trendy arches and racetrack, motifs round out the curly contemporary interior. A unique modern chandelier drops frozen eye sockets over the living room.

Scandi’s TV style combines sleek wood grain and clean white aesthetics, while an Asian altar shelf is the main focus high above the TV screen. An attractive wooden lined arch leads to the two bedrooms.

Running screens are combined with a sideboard to build a unique and useful storage full room divider between the dining room and the door that leads into the bathroom.

A rectangular dining table is set up against the back of the elegant room partition. A gray ceramic flower vase of foliage creates a relaxed table centerpiece.

A wine storage bin and a black retro fridge-freezer bring refreshments and ice to the dining room.

The small kitchen runs away from the other side of the fridge-freezer. Wooden base cabinets absorb natural heat into the mainly white decorative pattern, while white wall cabinets increase the space.

In the compact main room, an upholstered bed and woven carpet put gray accents. A wooden effect panel crosses the white-painted capture wall to connect the bed with a floating toilet. A round vanity mirror bridges the two-tone effect.

Built-in white closets achieve a clean, minimalist finish at the foot of the bed.

Green accents color the beautiful children’s room. A tailored green headpiece design embraces the arched decorative motif where an Aballs pendant designed by Jaime Hayon for Parachilna illuminates the bed unit.

Tailored children’s closets combine white and wood finishes and a touch-striped texture.

A billboard adjoins the tailored children’s bed design, which encompasses a wall of toy storage and bookshelves on its elongated base. A mountain theme cuts a creative green accent across the closet doors.

Our second outstanding interior design is a modern cottage. An arc floor lamp completes a chic arched wall molding behind the low modern Japanese style sofa.

The wall mounted TV set has a taste of modern and traditional aesthetics, with its natural wood and screen door inserts. A Buddhist altar shelf floats above the divided two-colored wall treatment. A beautiful ceiling fan carries the rich wooden accent to the ceiling. See more unique ceiling fans here.

A prominent black marble coffee table emphasizes the delicate nature of the white and beige woven rug. A second coffee table nests a complimentary wooden equivalent.

A range of scatter cushions creates a mixed tone arrangement across the white upholstered sofa.

A low, Asian style accent chair completes the compact lounge layout.

Between the living rooms and dining rooms, a wooden framed arch leads openly into the connected kitchen.

A light-permeable display room shares the home front door to create a functional family entrance. The combination of natural wood and rattan ends up forming a warm and welcoming corner.

The kitchen is a generously proportioned space that allows the whole family to gather in food preparation activities and at the food peninsula. See more inspiration for white and wood kitchens.

When we enter the main bedroom of this home, we are greeted by a wonderful airy and light decorative aesthetic of clean white walls and solid oak furniture. An oak floating TV stand completes the bedside table and matching makeup table next to the window.

The bespoke bed of the platform bed extends perfectly across the back of the makeup table to create coherence. A round mirror delicately serves the vanity, while a Matisse art print adds a bold back accent over the bed.

A mini bedroom lamp illuminates a turned wooden bedside table. Custom closets and Eames walnut stool designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller make up an elegant dressing room.

A clear glass vase brings a vibrant glow of natural greenery to the bedroom TV wall.

The beautiful children’s wall decor pours positive energy over a built-in bed design and a wall-mounted children’s desk.

The small floating desk is lined with an arched bookshelf niche inside the closet, where school books can be kept close at hand. A strip of wood continues the desktop end through the white cabinets.

Bow-shaped cubes make adorable perches for special soft toys, treasure items and extra books. See more inspiration on how to incorporate elegant arches in interiors.

The home office contains double workplaces that are blessed with natural light from tall twin windows.

Built-in units store office supplies and large household items, while unique bookshelves display decorative pieces.

The final home tour in this series begins in a very small but elegant living room with a space-saving armless sofa. The striking black swing arm lamp above it is the 1-Arm Rotary Screen designed by Serge Mouille.

3D wall art creates subtle arches over the sofa. A set of round nest coffee tables completes the curves, while a geometric print rug brings a sharp contrast.

Next to the TV stand, a round ottoman provides additional, mobile lounge seating, or an occasional footstool. Black and white plaid throws create comfortable accents.

H&M style decorative vases add a curved aesthetic to the dining table that stands opposite the kitchen island according to the compact open concept. Asian inspired dining chairs bring curved wooden frames to the set.

Above the smart food set, a paper globe hanging light seamlessly embraces the Asian and Scandi aesthetic.

Black, white and wooden kitchen designs merge quietly with the serene living room.

Black and white floor tiles define the kitchen area from the rest of the living space.

A runway formed a niche nest between two architectural arches.

One of the arches visually separates the living space from the small home entrance, where custom cabinets use every inch of vertical and horizontal wall space.

More units, a shoe storage shelf and an entrance bench fill the other side of the lobby area. Decorative vases add an artistic touch.

In the double bedroom, a geometric bed and a perfectly compatible rug create a fresh modern statement.

A black buttress swings between providing a reading light over the bed and a task light to the desk. Above the workspace, a set of floating shelves contain books and decorative objects.

More books slide under a built-in window seat.

Throwuskuseno draws a geometric print on an elegant bedroom chair. An arch separates the bedroom wardrobe, and creates an attractive bedroom entrance.

A toilet is placed in the white cupboards, with a contrasting wooden back. A unique mirror arches inside the usual piece.

Fistish green accents enliven the pastel children’s room. A beautiful bear wall art adds a friendly companion over a unique toned green and wood plank bedside table. The plank roof continues across the entire width of the room, stopping behind a children’s desk with storage shelves at the base. A green accent corner encompasses a tower of wall shelves.

Another green accent bookshelf is placed at the end of the children’s closet, which is attached to the end of a tailored platform bed with storage drawers.

Homeless Man Gets To Live In A 3D-Printed Tiny Home

70-year-old Tim Shea has progressed a lot since his time as a homeless heroin addict. In what looks like a 180-life transformation, in September, he moved to the outskirts of Austin to live in a 400-square-foot home built by a 3D printer from the company’s Icon.

“I could never have imagined where I came from that I would ever have this beautiful apartment,” Tim told the press recently and called his new home a “miracle”. Before living to live in the Community First! A village, a 51-acre site that houses 500 homes for the chronically homeless, Tim lived in a camper van.

Icon 3D homes printed with a Vulcan II printer have one bedroom, one bathroom, a full kitchen, a living room and a large porch, and give hope to many people with no place to call home. The company’s CEO Jason Ballard said their mission was to “make decent housing accessible to everyone, everywhere” and with Tim being the first proud resident of the 3D house, the future looks brighter than ever.

Formerly homeless man 70-year-old Tim Shea transformed his life when he became the first resident of a 3D printed house in a community in Austin, Texas, in September

Prior to this new permanent 3D home, Tim lived in the community in an RV. Previously, he struggled with drug addiction and like many seniors in the United States, was unable to maintain affordable housing.

Tim’s 400-square-foot 3D house was built with a Vulcan II 3D printer by the company ICON, which specializes in advanced construction technologies.

In an interview with NY Poster, Tim said his previous lifestyle made him hide from the world. “I think from my personal experience of my previous way of life that I developed a shell. I didn’t feel safe, and whenever I had the chance, I would hide or isolate myself. I never really wanted to interact with people. “

Tim is said to be the first occupant of one of the 3D printed house

But after moving into her new home in September, at the Community First! In the village, he had his life completely changed. “Everything I do is quite the opposite, and I have a lot of activities every day with others,” he said.

The house is located at Community First! A village is known for its high-level vision of homeless housing

At first, Tim couldn’t believe he would be the first person living in a 3D printed house like this. “When I found out I was going to be the first person in the United States to move to a 3D-printed home, I thought it was pretty awesome. The people I used to run away from, I run. If you’ve been on both sides of the fence, you know some people just need a little bit of encouragement and support, ”he said. NY Poster.

After moving to a beautiful 3D house, Tim’s life changed drastically

Tim’s 3D house is located in the Community First! A village that helped homeless people with shelter, community and support. Alan Graham, a real estate developer and founder of the village as well as the project called Mobile Phones & Fish, is helping others find a place to call home over the past two decades.

ICON has so far developed six different 3D homes, all with different layouts

According to Graham, “Home is essentially a place of connection and of life-giving and basic relationships.” His goal is to “make everyone feel at home, ultimately inviting those who live along the edge of society, into your heart.”

Tim says “it’s just a miracle to me that I live there in such a beautiful house”

Tim’s 3D printed home isn’t the only one in town. ICON has built 6 3D homes, all with different layouts for different needs to shelter the homeless on the site. Tim chose an open floor layout because he has arthritis.

His 3D house has one bedroom, one bathroom, full kitchen, living room and porch

The project was made possible by an ongoing partnership between ICON, the construction technology company, and Austin’s nonprofit Mobile Loaves & Fishes.

Alan Graham, the founder and CEO of Mobile Loaves & Fishes, commented on the project: “Vulnerable populations like the homeless are never among the first to access new things, but now here in Austin, Texas, they are among the first in line, who will live in some of the most unique homes ever built – and we think that’s a beautiful thing. “

To find out more about this amazing project, Bored Panda contacted Brooke Bauguess, vice president of Communications and Public Affairs at ICON. ICON is an Austin-based construction technology company using 3D robotics, programs and advanced materials to change the paradigm of home building.

ICON believes that “3D printing will be the preferred method of homebuilding in the future and tends to be a pioneer of the technology that has the potential to end homelessness,” Brooke told us.

“The United States needs 3.3 million homes a year and is currently building 1.3 million. 3D printing construction can help deliver robust, sustainable, decent housing across the United States and the world. “

Tim, who overcame drug addiction, chose an open floor plan because of arthritis

ICON has delivered two dozen 3D-printed homes across Mexico and the United States, including social housing projects with nonprofit organizations, major housing developments with developers and more.

The ICON printer is controlled by a tablet remotely and takes a crew of four to six people to build a house

“We appreciate the opportunity to see our technology deliver homes for those in need in Mexico and serve those who have experienced homelessness in central Texas,” Brooke said and continued, “Tim Shea in particular is the first person to ever live in an ICON 3D printed home. We worked closely to design and select furniture in this project in particular and are thrilled to see him thrive in his new home. “

A special concrete formula was used for the project and applied by a 3D printer, which is basically just a concrete nozzle at the end of a giant robot arm.

“ICON at its heart is an innovation for a better future,” said Jason Ballard, co-founder and CEO of ICON. We will have to risk some if we want a better world for ourselves, and the team at Mobile Loaves & Fishes shares a similar vision in their efforts to empower the community around them in a lifestyle of service to the homeless. We need a radical rethinking of the way we approach solving troubling problems in our society such as homelessness. Ultimately, this is about people and about human dignity. “

Many people praised the project and its ability to help those in need.

Watch this space for more information on that. Stay tuned to Feeta Blog for the latest updates about Architrcture, Lifestyle and Interior Design.

Uniquely elegant contemporary Asian decor forms this collection of attractive home projects, cleverly pictured by Lan Hen. Join us as we get a little inspired by a total of six different home tours with a special advantage. These creative interiors feature open-plan living spaces with elegant kitchen and dining combos, peaceful modern bedroom layouts with modern twists, a choice of prominent statement furniture and a set of tailored storage ideas to light up. Minimalist aesthetics leave all arrangements clean and uncomplicated, while unusual silhouettes add abundant interest and intrigue to keep the eye moving and the imagination engaged.

A tailored bar was formed around a central retaining wall in the living room of our first outstanding home design. A backlit wall unit stores drinking glasses under a mild atmospheric brightness. Two unique modern bar stools give the shady lodge a projecting edge.

Hand-woven cane wheelchairs, inspired by Pierre Jeanneret’s Kangaroo Chair, add an iconic design element to the comfortable lounge area.

The seats on the opposite wall are built in bench design. The microcement bench fuses into a window seat and runs up to meet the concrete staircase project. Across the room, a cantilevered dining table is attached under the bar.

The modern staircase design cuts a sharp silhouette from the calm gray background.

In the home workspace, a tailored desk is thinly threaded across a huge window. The floor changes from polished concrete to a wood-clad platform, differentiating the desk area from a music stage.

When we enter the bedroom, we can see directly into a clear, open suit design.

A floor bed is located high on a two-story floor that is drastically illuminated by a ribbon of LED light.

Artwork forms a cultural scene.

As we enter the second home tour, our attention is immediately caught by Swing side chair by Frank Gehry for Vitra.

The Wiggle chair joins an attractive combination of lounge furniture, including a deeply cushioned sofa design, a striking black armchair and a monolithic marble coffee table.

Indoor plants add flashes of color to the peaceful neutral color scheme.

A wall of fully equipped closets fills the back of the living room with an abundance of storage options. The neighboring kitchen area continues the elegant white, handle-free, aesthetic unit.

A custom oak desk inserts a tight niche.

A microcrete counter and an oak drawer build a chic dining peninsula, accompanied by complementary two-tone kitchen bar stools.

The next home tour begins with a striking curved sofa design that encompasses a set of contrasting black and white nesting coffee tables.

A two-story floor creates a high entrance from the front door into the living space.

A canal tufted upholstered bed forms the main event within the minimalist bedroom layout. Two different bedside tables and a single wall light complete the asymmetrical composition of the bed frame.

On the opposite side of the bedroom, a unique makeup table is paired with an unusual pedestal vanity stool.

In the second bedroom layout, a low shelf frames the space around the bed and cuts two tailored closets. A low hanging bedroom lamp serves the bed.

A ground brown accent wall gives a warm color in the bright home interior.

A tufted sofa backs up onto the kitchen island in this home, causing the breakfast bar to be relocated. Instead of being attached to the central kitchen island, the bar has migrated to the window wall, where diners can enjoy the view.

Beige, white and black elements navigate visual depth and temperature.

The TV is hidden inside a wall of clean white floating units.

A Japanese Chabudai-style table forms a ceremonial teahouse.

In the corridor, a modern pedestal sink rises through a moderately cut shelf to form a handwashing station at the front door.

A dark mossy green accent chair adds color to this minimalist living room, while the modular sofa keeps things light with a soft beige upholstery.

A piece of modern wall art adds a rainbow aura to the adjoining kitchen dining room.

Behind the living room, one wall kitchen extends a deep walnut accent as opposed to the white surroundings.

A platform bed with a modern winged bedboard draws a curved theme inside the bedroom, which translates into two beautifully shaped custom floating units. One of the units goes down to hold a bedside table lamp …

… The second murmur unit functions as both a bedside table and a small desk.

Finally we arrive at a home setup on a warm white canvas.

La Trinidad chair by Nanna Ditzel for Fredericia doubles at a cantilevered food peninsula.

Frameless interior doors stand red between the walls.

A single, unstressed bedroom lamp illuminates one side of the modern platform bed, where it emphasizes a linear bed unit.

A gray bed set adds weight to the warm white and wooden decorative scheme.

Man’s Dream House: 4 Shipping Containers, $150,000

Hello again from Australia, which is the most beautiful structures made with shipping containers. On our tour today, we’ll talk about the Jake Richards container house built in South Coast, New South Wales, Australia.

4 x 40 ′ High Cube shipping container was used in the construction of the container house. The house, which has a usable area of 130 m2, lasted 3 years.

The cost of the house is about $ 150,000.

The architecture of the house is projected with two containers on the ground floor and two on the upper floor. Containers on the top are stacked about 2m behind. Thus a beautiful balcony was obtained in the front of the house. Dark colors dominate the overall design of the house. Black details dominate at the windows. A layer of milkwood is preferred outside the house. The thinness of the wooden cladding and its placement horizontally gave the house a beautiful view. Congratulations to Jake Richards for this beautiful container house which he completed in 3 years on his own.

If you’re interested in container houses, “traditional architecture” will appeal less to you. With containers, you can be modern-looking, vintage-looking, or whatever you can imagine. Container houses can be as simple as a single cargo unit with doors and windows or can be enlarged with several containers for a larger area. You have hundreds of options with shipping containers. You can create multi-storey container houses, put them on wheels, add porches, glazed everywhere, or whatever matches your unique style with a container house!

Nowadays, especially in the last year, many people have had to change their lifestyle because of Covid-19.

That’s why people have started focusing on new and innovative home solutions. Container houses began to gain popularity in many countries during this period due to their easy purchase and sustainability.

There are more than 14 million out-of-service shipping containers in the world. Some of these are currently used to build housing, apartment complexes, student housing, shopping malls. According to a market report prepared by the Business Research Company, the United States dominates the container market with about 40% market share, followed by Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America and South Africa.

Container houses can be built in two ways. Fixed or mobile. Each country has its own construction and zoning standards, which can sometimes be very complex. Regulations may include the type of structure to be used, the requirements for square feet, the minimum insulation materials required, and the steel frame requirements required if you are building a second floor. These houses can be built on your land or in a factory and transferred to the land.

The cost of container homes ranges from $ 25,000 to $ 300,000. You can also exceed the $ 300,000 level depending on the materials you use and the size of the house. Overall the cost per square foot is significantly lower than for traditional architecture.

Market Watch in Australia predicts that container houses will have a global compound annual growth rate of more than 6.5% over the next 5 years.

A Modern Japanese House With A Serene Courtyard

Do you like Architecture and Interior Design? Follow us …

Thank you. You have been subscribed.

.

A unique segmented layout defines this amazing Japanese home, belonging to a couple and their three children near downtown Shunan, Yamaguchi County. Designed by Hayato Komatsu Architects, the rooms of this unique home are sectioned into boxes around the edge of the site. Glass corridors tie up the volumes as they take on the green beauty of a large and serene central courtyard, as well as several smaller yards. The design was formed to realize all the wishes of the client without completely overriding the scale of the 807.03 square meter plot and the surrounding residential environment. The result is a space with a sense of unity and a deep connection with nature.

A steel enclosure door waits at the end of a short path that leads into the property, just off the main road. The modern door matches a frame of steel windows, which increases its scale and size.

The main main entrance door for guests is housed inside a wooden tin enclosure that extends to the roof line to increase its warm and text effect. The cool gray exterior of the home creates a tonal contrast that pushes the eye to the welcome entrance.

Glass roof panels let the blue sky into connecting corridors that connect each volume of the unique home design. Glass walls open the corridors to the courtyards, which bloom on both sides.

Once through the narrow glazed corridor, a huge living space opens up with towering ceilings. Huge windows bring natural light flooding over the rich wood tone and gray brick interior. Tailored bookshelves stack decoration up to the roof.

The two-story lounge puts a small, casual dining room into the lower half of the layout, while a luxurious lounge tops. A chic modern L-shaped sofa divides the upper floor between the living room layout and a formal dining room at the back.

A rectangular coffee table is located in the center of an understated gray carpet that balances the gray tile floor treatment in the tiny dining room.

A bistro pedestal table sets up the secondary dining room as a place for tea and light snacks.

Three steps down gives the area a pleasant, intimate feel that is enhanced by the presence of a wood burning fireplace.

Surrounding courtyard views bring nature rushing to the airy living space.

An outdoor seating seat lies in the welcome patio design. Free installation of wooden ceiling panels flows from inside the living room to the shaded overhang outside.

At night the courtyards light up to preserve the magical panorama.

The L-shaped volume pushes the kitchen layout just beyond the corner of the living room, giving it an unobstructed view of the luxurious courtyard.

A breakfast bar returns to the next connecting corridor from floor to ceiling glass. Three kitchen bar stools let the children contribute to dinner.

Wide expanses create the feeling of walking outside.

A stone walkway in the manner of a garden path was carried out inside the house, to rebalance an area where there are no exterior views.

In the main room, a thin floor-to-ceiling side window and a clerestory window ensure privacy. Furniture is minimal, with only a platform bed, bedside table, desk and IC F 2-style lamp. La original IC F 2 was projected by Michael Anastassiades for Flos.

Home library is secretly hidden.

The library also serves as a music appreciation room, with heaps of CDs and a sound system.

Shoji doors add traditional Japanese elegance.

The doors are pocketed in a deep wooden frame.

Even the bathroom overlooks a courtyard.

The courtyard next to the bathtub is elevated to improve the view.

Exposed wooden ceiling beams add a bold visual interest.

Authentic tatami mats dress the floor.

The material palette remains cooperative throughout the home.

Graceful shrubs soften the fort home exterior.

Wooden slat panels examine the connecting footpaths.

Rocky borders plume the paved driveway, leading to green shrubbery and trees that give only a slight taste of the natural bonds that surround the rest of the household.

Exterior lighting gently illuminates the plants and the welcoming front entrance door.

The secondary front door is gently obscured by small trees.

The central courtyard gives the segmented dwelling a general sense of unity.

With the windows open, gentle winds blow through inner spaces to ignite the senses with an outer soundtrack of whispering leaves and bird song, and aromas of earth, flowers and flowers.

Each yard differs in scale, sunlight and height, creating different experiences as one moves through the house.

The site of 807.03 square meters holds a building area of 444.59 square meters, resulting in a total floor area of 471.24 square meters. A parking garage holds up to four cars at the front of the building.

The final layout of the rooms was decided by imagining many everyday situations and likely future lifestyle changes.

5 Considerations Before Buying a New Construction Home

Buying an existing or new construction site is the most exciting day for many people and also the scariest. When a person rents an apartment or house, they cannot make any changes and must get permission to even paint a room. But they also don’t have to worry about maintenance and repair costs. When something goes wrong, a person just calls the landlord to ask for repairs. When a family buys a new home, they are responsible for care and repair. However, they can make any changes and make any decoration they want and can afford.

Buying a New Home

Buying a new construction home is almost everyone’s dream. But not everyone can afford to be the first owners of a new home. The next best ticket to home ownership is to buy a pre-owned home and remodel or renovate it according to the tastes and needs of a family. Buying a brand new home is still a dream for many homeowners who could start with an existing home and then move up to a new construction home when they can afford it.

But remember that buying a new construction home can also be a hindrance. It is not the same to buy an existing home. There are important considerations for the new home buyer. Here are five notable things:

Before You Start Searching for a Home

  1. Before starting the search get a good property with experience in selling new construction houses. They can protect you and make sure everything during the sale is done correctly.
  2. Find the best lender before starting the home search. They will tell you how much you can pay in payments and interest rates. The right lender can save a house by buying money. Understand all the financial options available to you. Get pre-approval for a loan before starting the home search.
  3. Before the home search begins, look at the different new construction neighborhoods and narrow the search to neighborhoods you can afford, and that appeal to you considering amenities and a convenient place to work and schools. The perfect house in the wrong neighborhood will not be a good choice. What are the amenities the builder plans for the construction? What is planned for the surrounding area in the near future? What is close to the planned neighborhood now? No one wants to be on a direct flight path from an airport or near a factory with harmful fumes.
  4. Look at the builders for the developments you’re considering. Check online reviews and ratings on customer satisfaction. Check with the Better Business Bureau for ongoing purchase complaints. Drive along to homes they’ve built, and take a look at their online website for house plans they offer. Take a look at their price compared to other builders. Ask the Agent that you have chosen to critique the good and bad points of each builder you consider.
  5. As a family, decide what is needed in a home and what every family member wants. Make a priority list of factors that matter in a new home, and try to get as many items on the list in any home considered. A home that does not meet the needs of a family is just not suitable. Don’t settle for a home that won’t be convenient and comfortable to live in.

When You Buy The New Construction House

Here are five considerations when looking for and buying a home:

  1. Remember that the model houses you visit are not the houses you will receive. Your house is yet to be built. Even if you specify that you want the same plan as the model home, it may not be the same. But you can customize each house to your liking. Paint and other finishes make a big difference without changing the cost if you stay according to the construction plans. If you like a floor plan except for a few changes, you can get the changes to the floor plan but it will cost more.
  2. Write down every detail of the new home purchase. This includes colors and finishes, floor plan changes, deadlines, and any other changes and choices. So if something is not so agreed upon, you have written proof of your choices.
  3. Get as many guarantees as possible and receive them in writing. This includes the home finished on time, the quality of construction and customer satisfaction. Ask these questions:
    • What percentage of the homes in the project are sold?
    • Who will you work with during construction?
    • What features are included in the price, and what improvements increase the price of the home?
    • How often can you visit the home during construction?
    • What happens if the home completion is delayed?
    • How are buyers ’concerns and complaints handled?
    • What measures are being taken in construction to affect domestic energy?
  1. Timing is important. When will construction take place? How long will it last? A new home can take from seven months to a year to complete. If you can’t wait that long, consider buying the model home if it’s the right floor plan and appeals to you. Model homes are sold when a large percentage of the homes in the development are sold.
  2. When the home is finished, be sure to receive an independent home inspection and request a correction of defects prior to closing. Builders make mistakes, and it’s best to find them and fix them before closing. Home inspectors see things a homeowner would miss. Then pay attention during the tour and take accurate notes on things that are not appropriate. One of the advantages of buying a new home is that you don’t have to worry about repairs or things breaking or failing for quite some time. So make sure there are no defects before you close the house. The builder will be more willing to repair defects prior to closure.

Buying a new construction site is exciting. Most people buy the biggest house they can afford, and then experience a few surpluses due to changes that increase that investment. Try to avoid any costly changes during construction. Once the closing has taken place and the family has moved into the new home, make sure the furniture and belongings are correct and make sure the unpacking is done promptly so that the family can enjoy living in the new home. Meet your neighbors as soon as possible, and drive around the neighborhood to get to know the family, where all the amenities are located. Now, enjoy the new home.

Measuring 222 square meters in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova, this luxurious designer city hall has three floors of unique modern luxury. Displayed by D3 design, the interior features attractive contemporary furniture projects, luxurious stone and terrace elements and a striking yellow accent palette. Each area has been cleverly created to bring out elegant yet bold aesthetics, brought to life under mood lighting. We’ll also find inspiration for an ultra stylish children’s room that includes a tailored children’s bed design with a lounge bunk bed, as well as a unique built-in storage and window seating facility for multi-level play. Floor plans for all three levels are included at the end of the home tour.

A striking modern fireplace wall is tiled with deeply textured stone. An elegant white marble fireplace makes a smooth contrast under the flame.

A warm mustard tufted sofa draws against the fireplace for the warmest accent in the room, with warm mustard upholstery.

Rectangle carpet contains the two-section sectional sofa layout. One side of the sectional layout is facing the living room TV wall, while the rest of the seats face the heat of the fire.

Smooth wooden wall panels and silver pieces adorn the modern TV wall, where a white marble media shelf creates an understated finishing touch.

Tinted glass builds a translucent partition wall between the living room and the stairs. The staircase is centrally located in the home layout, dividing the living room from the kitchen dining room.

Thin floor lamps emit atmospheric glare after dark.

In the dining room, another wooden back TV wall and dimly lit glass and cutlery form an inviting background. The striking black networked modern chandelier we see suspended over the table is the Vibia Match.

Two unique bar stools make an elegant addition to the chic white marble kitchen peninsula. The two top black pendants above are the Vibia Linear Wireflow.

Soft gray wall devices connect with the padding stool. A wall of full-height white kitchen units fades quietly in the background so as not to overwhelm the space.

LED ribbons highlight the beautiful marble staircase design, warmly cutting across the gray vein.

A deeply padded upholstered bed design immediately gives a pleasant tone as we enter the master bedroom.

A small bedside table is tucked in on either side of the upholstered platform bed. A modern table lamp shines on one side …

… In a trendy linear pendant light illuminates the other.

A large frameless mirror doubles the effect of the line pendant light, and reflects a TV wall at the opposite side of the room.

The interior door disappears inside a wall of smooth gray roof that forms an elegant mount for the bedroom TV. Perimeter lighting washes a warm glow over the unassuming feature.

Track lights draw a border around the ceiling, illuminating the full walkway around the bed.

Heavy gray cloths ensure restful sleep, while white veils give privacy during waking hours.

The yellow accent theme set in the living room returns in the form of a curved bench chair.

A large closet island displays and stores fashion accessories dust-free under a clear glass top. Half of the clothing collection is placed under packages inside full-white fronted units.

On the opposite side of the room, a smart black locker system provides open rails, clothes racks and integrated chests of drawers.

Cabinet lighting strongly helps choice.

Black bathrooms complete the dark floor treatment and contrast clearly with bright walls.

A backlit built-in shelf makes a welcoming glow inside the shower.

The children’s room is governed by a tailored children’s bed project with a living room bunk bed.

Main yellow accents add a sudden burst of energetic energy to the neutral children’s room.

The yellow shelf inserts draw attention to a unique built-in library and window seating installation that encourages multi-level gaming. A large Miffy lamp and a smaller companion hang at the children’s library. See more ideas on children’s night lights here.

Modern wall light focuses on reading light above the bed.

More yellow accents breathe life into a second bookshelf on the other side of the children’s bedroom, where a collection of project objects form a creative space around the desk.

A black and white turntable completes the all-white desk project.

Terrazzo fills the child’s bathroom with a lively pattern.

Huge pieces of color fall across the shower wet wall, descending onto the bathtub.

A loose corner rises inside a wall of customary furniture.

A round mirror forms a beautiful partner for an arched bathroom ceiling that surrounds a beautiful marble decorative scheme.

Simple white doors form the face of a useful storage cupboard that has been set up inside the upper cistern wall.

The floor plan of the city hall allows us to better understand the effectiveness of the central staircase in the division of space, as well as the vast amount of storage in each area.

Each measuring just under 40 square meters, these three apartment interiors in Odessa, Ukraine, inspire three different personality types. Our first tour takes us to a sophisticated home with a bronze framed glass wall design, unique modern furniture ideas and an unquestionably luxurious kitchen project – despite its small proportions. Our second stop is made at a simple, young and sturdy apartment interior, designed for tenants, with another glass wall project that lends light to a multi-purpose living room. Color seekers may like our final prominent interior, where rich color accents add a touch of the unexpected. Floor plans included at the end of each tour.

This complex living room belongs to an apartment with one bedroom of 35 square meters, located in a multi-storey apartment complex. The low-back design of a stone gray modular sofa makes the small area appear open and therefore more spacious.

The compact apartment consists of a combined living room and kitchen, a glass wall project and a bathroom.

Minimal amounts of furniture, a hollow decor and a limited material palette allow emphasis to fall on the remaining high-quality elements and sea view. Thanks to the glass wall, the ocean panorama flows unhindered throughout the width of the apartment, creating an immediate factor entering the home.

A custom-cut frameless mirror was formed in accordance with the front door of the apartment, which creates a false window effect on the solid empty entrance wall.

A unique faucet adds a shiny copper accent to the clean white kitchen island.

The glass walls of the bedroom are framed by matching copper surrounds.

The TV wall is an understated thing, kept streamlined to keep the full functional width of the space.

A square kitchen sink lies sharply into the untouched marble roof.

A unique bathroom sink gives the all-white bathroom an interesting focus. LEDs emphasize the floating characteristic of low, murmur vanity.

Floor plan.

Then we move on to a rented apartment of 37 square meters. A cool white and gold wood tone colors the multifunctional living space.

A small dining table set overlapped the change of floor covering, standing across and white tile from the kitchen and the solid pine board from the living room.

A small workshop is arranged inside the bedroom, with a simple floating desk and a coordinating white swivel chair.

Pine panels form a comprehensive bedboard design that expands the spatial sense.

In the bathroom, a modern pedestal sink and a round vanity mirror smoothly match their identical diameter.

Our third small home tour in Odessa, Ukraine, takes place in a 35-square-meter apartment. The customers asked for a subtle monochrome decoration scheme but short colored moments made the final cut. Burgundy softening visually warms the small living room, and sets it apart from the nearby dining room.

Two workstations fill the opposite side of the compact but functional living room.

Pale gray scattering cushions and matching throw separate the solid burgundy sofa design.

In the hallway of the home, deep charcoal storage contains a lighted screen corner that shines a welcoming glow at the front door.

The full-grain storage volume flows around the corner to blend seamlessly with the small kitchen design.

Fresh white crown melting neatly fuses the built-in storage volume with the structural walls of the apartment.

Wall-mounted pendant light makes for a delicate accompaniment to the small dining table.

Gentle atmospheric light sets the scene for a comfortable dinner for two.

The living room TV is inserted next to the dual workplaces. A repositionable TV wall bracket allows it to swing outward to face the sofa, or stay angled to the kitchen or dining room.

The small kitchen is broken into two walls of full-height dark gray units and a contrasting wall of bright beech base cabinets and tops. A charcoal ceiling panel bridges the kitchen, connecting the darker elements.

A charcoal gray bed sheet panels strip through a lighter gray paint inside the bedroom.

A unique tray top side table adds a fun burst of bright burnt orange that dominates the monochrome scheme.

The foot of tailored bedspreads under a row of wall cupboards.

Recessed shelves cause a break between the closet and a built-in toilet.

A burgundy vanity stool adds a rich note to the makeup table, and ties back to the lounge accent color.

Laundry equipment is located inside the compact bathroom. Unique bathroom lighting illuminates the pool.

An open shelf is available to store soap dispensers next to the basin and a food remover for the laundry.

Textured tiles elegantly darken the lower third of the bathroom and engulf the bathtub, while the upper walls are light and bright.

Atmospheric light washes the tiled wet wall.

An ultra narrow heated towel adds a playful baby blue accent to the small space.

Lithuania-And-Poland-Built-A-Portal-Connecting-Two-Of-Their-cities-and-people-are-loving-it

Lithuania And Poland Built A ‘Portal’ Connecting Two Of Their Cities And People Are Loving It

Society is evolving and we have gone a long way from slavery and women not being able to vote. But we still have room for improvement: stop discriminating against different people, accepting people who think, dress, speak differently than we do.

Separation between people is a problem as old as the world, but it needs modern solutions. The internet is now everywhere in a “portal” open in two European cities, Vilnius and Lublin, which was built just to shorten the distance between us and them. Not only is the meaning behind this project amazing, but it also looks so cool and futuristic.

The city of Vilnius in Lithuania and the city of Lublin in Poland are now linked by a portal in which they can see each other.

The portal has a circular shape that symbolizes the wheel of time, and in science fiction, it represents space and time that link back to the circle as a portal. This virtual bridge between the capital of Lithuania, Vilnius, and one of the oldest Polish cities, Lublin, is the first of its kind. In Vilnius, the portal can be found next to Vilnius railway station. Meanwhile, in Lublin, he resides on Plac Litewski.

These 2 cities have a historical connection, as the Lublin Union was signed on 1 July 1569 between Poland and Lithuania in that same city. This union created a single state, the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, one of the largest countries in Europe at the time. Bored Panda contacted the PORTAL team and asked if this was planned. Apparently, it was an unexpected coincidence. They contacted various cities abroad that would collaborate for this project and the circumstances lead to that city being Lublin. It is truly symbolic that these two cities are spreading the message behind the project, which must be unified and not separated.

This circle with a screen that looks like a portal to another dimension actually allows you to see people in the other city and wave at them

The ‘portals’ both have screens and cameras to broadcast the other city live. The view you see on the screen is similar to what astronauts see looking at the world below.

It’s called a “surveillance effect” and astronauts experience it when they see Earth in space, so little, so delicately in this big world.

Hazzaa Ali Almansoori, the first person from the United Arab Emirates in space, said “It’s amazing how space brings everyone together. No matter what country you come from, no matter what your religion or background, it unites everyone … Our goal is one: it is for humanity. ”

The portal is now silent as it would be technically difficult to have a sound 24/7, however, it is possible and for special events, it will be done.

Despite this, the creators of the project believe that people will find a way to communicate. They’ve noticed people waving, sending kisses or doing push-ups, so they’re still involved.

The team told us that “it seems that with physical measures like the PORTAL the internal psychological barriers disappear and people enthusiastically participate in the activity in front of the portal and are friendly to each other. Most of them do not need encouragement and access the portal with curiosity or maybe they just crave a human relationship during this pandemic. ”They think that starting a conversation with complete strangers only on the street would present difficulties and it seems that the portal makes people more relaxed.

The message behind the PORTAL project is to make people forget about the separation between us and them and just see our planet united

The main goal of the project is to connect people. On the official website, they say “Surrounding ourselves only with those who are close and speak the same language gives us comfort and a sense of stability. It also limits the worldview to our narrow inner circle. Slowly it becomes a perfect space for awakening insecurities to outsiders and a perfect excuse to be careless about the world that belongs to them. Every day there is less room for dialogue, empathy and compassion to feel and be united in our home – a tiny spaceship Earth rapidly decaying because of too many of them and too few of us. It’s so easy to believe we’re all a wave and forget we’re an ocean too. Let’s transcend this sense of separation and be pioneers of unity. ”

It almost seems like we welcome aliens to Earth, but sometimes we treat humans as if they’re not from this planet and don’t deserve to be here. The person behind the idea, Benedict Gylys, says many of the potentially deadly challenges humanity faces, such as polarization and climate change, have been caused by a lack of understanding of others and of the world at large. So the PORTER must unite people and it is an invitation to rise above the illusion of division that we ourselves have created.

This cool idea was shared on Reddit and the post received 140k likes in less than 24 hours

Although it is not a portal that we see in movies or read in books, it is nevertheless the closest to teleportation and it is so cool that you can only communicate with random people on the street who are hundreds of miles away.

It caught the attention of Redditors like the post about it got 140k votes in less than a day. People joked about Stargate and that if you go through it, you will end up in Poland. It seems that people liked this idea, but others shared that something similar happened where they live, but it didn’t last long as people started abusing the portal.

The project had its challenges, “First, it was a challenge to draft a project for the PORTFOLIO, which is minimal and simple, but able to fit all the complex electronics inside and prevent vandalism and negative environmental impact.” Then the project had to be carried out and after many tests, it was chosen to use “concrete, stainless steel and tempered glass to build these 11 tons wide two meters by two meters.”

It all came true because the people at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University Creative and Innovation Center “LinkMenų manufactures” were crazy enough to believe in the idea and were able to realize it.

The brain behind the project is Benedict Gylys and it took 5 years to realize the idea

The project was completed during a pandemic, when travel within the borders may have restrictions, so travel to other countries is hardly disputed. The creators of Vilnius Technique have been working on the portal for 5 years and now was the best time to introduce it publicly when everyone is so isolated and eager to taste something new a bit.

There are plans to open more of these portals in various cities in the world and connect even more people

The portal between Vilnius and Lublin was the first in the world, but it will not be the last. The creators of the project hope to connect dozens of cities around the world and two new ones are expected to open soon: one in Reykjavik, Iceland and another in London, United Kingdom.

The team revealed that Reykjavik was chosen because of the very important historical story that links it to Lithuania: Iceland was the first to recognize Lithuania’s independence in 1991 and Lithuanians appreciate it and want to continue the partnership between the countries. Also, Reykjavik contrasts perfectly with Vilnius.

London is important to them as they begin a friendship with another international initiative.

Now Vilnius is linked to Lublin and will last until August. Then it will move to another city. The project creators think that maybe in the future the portals will change cities every 10 minutes more or less because they are open to anyone who would like to join.

Although the cities will have a limited connection time, the project has no time limit, “the project will continue until the destruction of the planet or the end of the problems that cause the separation between people.”

What do you think of this idea? Would you like to see such a ‘portal’ in your city? Let us know your thoughts on this project in the comments.

More than 2k people shared their reactions to this “portal” on Reddit and most of them thought it was a cool idea.

Lithuania And Poland Built A ‘Portal’ Connecting Two Of Their Cities And People Are Loving It

Tuesday, 01 June 2021 by feeta_admin
Society is evolving and we have gone a long way from slavery and women not being able to vote. But we still have room for improvement: stop discriminating against different people, accepting people who think, dress, speak differently than we do. Separation between people is a problem as old as the world, but it needs

White is the color of purity and perfection. Some color matches white, but do you have to have a completely white interior? Well, the short answer is yes! All-white interiors are timeless, white walls highlight architectural features and white décor makes homes larger and more spacious. For art lovers, there is no better background than pure white – just ask a gallery owner. Some people might think that white is a priceless choice, but any color decoration can cause a boring result. The truth is that white interiors retain clarity of design. Pure white slate offers the opportunity to play with furniture shape, texture and light design without distraction

With a completely white interior, it depends on the furniture project to be topped. In this white lounge, a projected armchair elegantly dominates the seat.

A graceful floor lamp leans into the living room space, illuminating a chic white pedestal coffee table project. Gallery white walls give due attention to a piece of flowing line art.

Because an inactive TV screen puts a black spot on the cleanliness of an all-white interior decorative scheme, it makes sense to hide it somehow. In this case, sleek doors look like elegant white wall panels over the modern fireplace.

The panel doors retract flat against the TV wall so as not to force the living room space.

Soft furniture upholstery prevents the white trim from becoming too cold or clinical.

The impeccable aesthetics of the living room influences the design of an open kitchen dining room.

Light shelves seem to burn brighter in the simple white surroundings, without the visual complication of any added color disorder.

Shiny white cupboards evoke a clean and hygienic atmosphere for food.

A floating budget is underlined to match the LED wall shelves. The light highlights the subtle marble vein in the back white wall.

Flat-front storage cabinets create an uncomplicated entryway entrance.

In the white bedroom, a platform bed has a floating effect thanks to inserted base supports and some sub-bed lighting strips. The flat color palette of the camera really helps create the feature. Next to the window, a black floor lamp and a gray bedroom chair give darker notes.

A small vanity area provides a place to wash hands once inside the home entrance.

In Odessa, Ukraine, a modern sofa design cuts a clear silhouette into the all-white interior of a 107-square-meter apartment. The raised base of the sofa adds to the open and airy aesthetic of the living room.

In this home design, bright black panels smoothly camouflage the interrupting black TV into a bold strip across the entire width of the room.

Black track light cuts through a cool minimalist look through a clear, white corridor.

The corridor flows directly into the white room, which allows a light part between the two spaces.

Solid white modern dining chairs and a matching round dining table almost disappear from the center of the room as they blend seamlessly with the clean white floor. However, a burst of invigorating natural greenery is always a welcome addition, whatever the room palette, and is used here as an elegant table centerpiece.

Even the built-in appliances in the one wall kitchen match white finishes.

A floating platform bed design “hovers” in this white bedroom as well. A mirror capture wall adds weightless magic.

Fresh white decoration seems to drive out the walls of the small home entrance. Frameless doors further simplify the look.

The last of our three prominent home interiors is a much smaller yet perfectly shaped apartment where white decor is key to visually pushing out the walls and ceiling line. A neat white TV stand is mounted at the base of a staircase that leads to a bedroom mezzanine.

The custom staircase project is an opportunity for storage. Precise cut doors crack right into the contour of the steps and lifts.

Every inch of space is consumed for top storage cupboards, a built-in shelf or desktop space and yet, thanks to the all-encompassing white finish, the home office corner feels completely untidy and quiet.

On the other side of narrow partition walls, a home entrance and a small kitchen dining room complete the ground floor layout.

A solid run of white doors removes the kitchen.

When the kitchen double doors are retracted, a warm, golden glow of light spills out of the preparation area.

The nearby dining table can be used as an additional preparation space.

Hidden behind the kitchen doors, a gray accent wall bends the all-white decoration rule.

Stainless steel kitchen accessories and appliances are complemented by a cool gray background.

A white entrance closet merges with the white-painted architecture.

On the mezzanine floor, a children’s room is secured behind a child safety gate.

A crib occupies one side of the mezzanine, while the parent sleeping area is raised to create a division.

Horizontal railings create a white window shot-like aesthetic.

Floor plans.

Luxury Beachfront Property In A Jungle Landscape

A series of pavilions form this 1000 square meter beach property in Santa Teresa Beach, Costa Rica, expertly designed by architect Studio Saxe. Abundant tropical scenery integrates a jungle experience into the fragmented home, and beautifully frames the ocean view. A pioneer in sustainable tropical architecture, the project features passive systems that honor its stunningly green surroundings. Cross ventilation between the live programs also merges into a wonderful backyard project, rich in vegetation. In the home, interiors are developed under happily cooling white decorative patterns with earthy wood-tone accents. Retractable glass walls connect the interior living spaces with the jungle on its doorstep, so Mother Nature is only ever stepping away.

In this unique fragmented property project, separate pavilions contain the bedrooms, living spaces and service areas. The luxurious living room is freshly white, spacious free space. White sofas draw an L-shaped border around the living area, while a luxurious kitchen dining room occupies the rest of the volume.

A rustic coffee table adds a golden honey tone in the middle of the ethereal interior. Inserted perimeter lights shine a golden glow around the ceiling line.

Retractable doors break the living room pavilion on either side, adjoining the interior living space with the beautiful scenery.

Just outside the combined kitchen lounge, a huge dining room occupies the terrace. A series of dining room pendant lights are repeated along their length.

Floating wooden steps run along the entire length of the building to ensure that the interior and exterior space converge effortlessly. The oak dining table matches the wooden stair end.

Fourteen dining chairs await a large feast of guests.

A decorated area, a pair of outdoor chairs and a small side table make up a separate seating area.

Circulation of indoor and outdoor spaces weaves a harmony that allows homeowners to continually immerse themselves in the natural habitat as they alternate between spaces.

At night there is magical air around the tropical surroundings.

Palms grow immediately from the sun deck.

A bed of tropical plants grows along the edge of the deck, placing the pool in the abundant jungle.

The planting thins to the turf on the other hand, creating a drained area to arrange sunbeds.

Exterior lights illuminate the stairs at night so as not to stumble.

An elegant outdoor sofa and chairs form a tiny outdoor lounge at the end of the pool, cooled by the shade of the sloping palms.

The lighted pool and raised plants gave a beautiful color after dark.

Several seats offer options depending on the pool.

The ocean panorama glows through the trees on the property.

Separate programs facilitate transverse ventilation, as each space is exposed on two or three exterior walls.

The overlapping roofs of the pavilions create a charming circulation of space between the programs.

Extended rooflines were included to offer protection from the scorching sun and from rains through carefully calculated bioclimatic design.

The analysis of precipitation, sun pattern and wind ensures comfort with minimum energy consumption, and thus reduces the environmental footprint of the house.

Many other sustainable systems were also played here. Rainwater harvesting and water recycling systems, as well as energy, generate passive design at the heart of this project.

A series of thin columns support the roof planes, which creates a lightly floating effect.

Steel and wood construction and concrete foundations facilitate the illusion.

A path weaves through the soils, passing between senior trees and smaller shrubs. An outdoor swing chair makes a dreamy place to take off the hours in the shade with a good book and a cocktail in hand.

Retractable glass walls remove the boundaries between the home interior and the glorious exterior spaces.

The bedrooms are open to the tropical landscape and to the soothing sound of the ocean.

4 poster beds furnish the bedrooms so that a curtain of curtains can be pulled around the beds to avoid any bugs that may get in through the open windows. In this graceful white series, a clean white sofa replaces the average bed end, and another seat is located in the transverse breeze between two windows. A driftwood table sets up a proper beach aesthetic.

Natural carpet adds a moment of warm texture to the polished white concrete floor that complements earthy wood tone furniture around the room.

Rectangular wall lights illuminate footpaths and wooden milky linings.

Roof windows add ventilation to the bathrooms. Wood and rattan end retain the naturalistic look.

The amazing property is located back a short walk from the beach. From above, it is easy to see how the overlapping roof lines form the canopy of the tropical courtyard design, and how the trees at its core stand out.

Front elevation of the beachfront property.

High southeast.

The floor plan illustrates the division of volumes and the assigned use of each individual program. We can also see how the architecture interacts with the landscape, moving around established tall trees, and where new forest lines are implemented to protect, guide and define the exterior areas and elements of the home.

40 Architecture Examples That Look So Bad, People Just Had To Shame Them

Some buildings will absolutely captivate you with their amazing projects, ingenious architectural decisions and the power of their aesthetics. This article, however, is not about such buildings. No! See, not all buildings are the same, and the “bad guys” should be publicly embarrassed so that others don’t copy their projects. So we will focus exclusively on simple terrifying architectural decisions.

Remember to vote for your favorite photos you love to hate and be sure to follow the arrogant Facebook group if you like their stuff. They are a growing community with awesome content.

Bored Panda talked about what separates good and bad design, the need to democratize access to strange projects on private property, and also the roles that architecture plays with an expert in Sweden’s field that has a background in urban planning. You will find our full interview with her below.

3. I Do Not Give A Damn How Well It’s Cantilevered Or How Strong The Struts Are. I Do Not Have The Kind Of Luck It Would Take To Set Foot In This House

funny-weird-architecture-shaming-pics

The Swedish planning expert with Bored Panda explained to Bored Panda that while public spaces must meet safety and accessibility standards, aesthetic standards can be much more fluid for buildings. The expert spoke to Bored Panda on the condition that she remain anonymous. (Remember, just because you’re an expert at something and want to help doesn’t mean you always like fame … as opposed to a weird architecture that just asks you to look at it!)

“Most often the elements of the built environment must be in harmony with each other and with the environment. However, sometimes something more daring and ready can form an attractive contrast, “she said. However, the urban planning expert shared with Bored Panda that, in her personal opinion, our built environments should engage us, as well as stimulate our minds and senses. In fact, she believes that the ability of architecture to make us think is one of its most powerful aspects.

5 . This Is Not Photoshopped

6. That Gives Me Anxiety

funny-weird-architecture-shaming-pics

“There are circumstances when architecture has to create a sense of calm and security, yet there are cases where it’s not bad if the architecture provokes us and makes us think, ‘Why don’t I like the look of this building?’ ”

The city planner said we need to give people the freedom to express themselves the way they want when it comes to designing their private property. As long as they have the resources, almost anything is allowed, in her opinion.

8. A Friend Of Mine Cross-Posted This And It Made Me Think Of Y’all

9. I Might Like This If Those Were Slides

funny-weird-architecture-shaming-pics

“Strange architecture comes from our innate desire to prove our uniqueness. However, not everyone who has the resources has a medium taste for aesthetics. However, if it’s for the people who live or use their private space, I mean why not? “she told Bored Panda that as long as you don’t actively harm anyone, no matter how bad your projects are, you have to be as unique as you want to be. Even if it lacks objective aesthetic standards.

However, the expert acknowledged that others in the industry may not see things the way she sees. Others, she said, believe private property should harmonize with the surroundings.

“But I don’t think we should cross that thin line where architecture becomes reserved only for the rich and for those with good taste ’(whoever decides that). I’m only talking about the private property here. When it comes to public space, there has to be a consensus between public and professional on the design, ”she said, as the rules for the private and public spheres are very different.

The town planning expert also had some design tips. “First, although I often advocate for unconventional-looking buildings, I do not purposely encourage provocative architecture. The building must be designed with the intention of housing and protecting society. It should create a sense of security but not be boring, ”she told Bored Panda that we need to balance uniqueness and service, expression and community.

In addition, the expert from Sweden pointed out that accessibility, inclusiveness and empowerment should also be key features of any architectural project. “I also prefer somewhat complex but systematic projects. Minimalist and box floor plans are good in some cases when easy access is needed (e.g. hospitals) however they can be completely untrue while more complex floor plan plans are more stimulating (e.g., good for schools, in my opinion). ”

Graphic Designers Show What 6 Asian Castles Looked Like Before Falling Into Ruins

You definitely want to travel before this point, so the best we can do is offer you a way to discover something new and exciting without leaving your home. This time it is the largest and most populous continent, Asia, with its 45 million square kilometers of deserts, mountains, plateaus, plains and jungles that carry the history of ancient civilizations. Budget Direct has decided to digitally rebuild 6 castles that have become ruins over the years across five countries in Asia. The architectural wonders of Asia restore their former glory right before our eyes.

This is the newest project in the series of reconstructions by Budget Direct: the team has previously revived European castles, Ancient Wonders and UNESCO-protected heritage sites.

“In 2020, millions of people around the world will be stuck at home, and even in 2021, there are many travel restrictions still in place. To support those looking for inspiration on a travel chair, Budget Direct has decided to bring back some of the most awesome castles from all over Asia. The team started by making a long list of castles in Asia and then limited these to those that had resources available for us to digitally readjust.

They then chose the castles with the most architectural marvel from across the continent to rebuild. The team has been working with researchers, architects and digital designers to bring these ancient castles into the 21st century. ”

So sit back, relax, and start the virtual journey! And hopefully, you’ll find out something new along the way today.

Alamut Castle, Alamut Valley, Iran

In 1090, Imam Hassan-i Sabbāh allegedly conquered the castle without shedding a drop of blood. The new state secured its power through targeted attacks on enemy leaders. Those who carried out these attacks were contemptuously called “Hashashin” (“tumultuous grass”), thus giving birth to the word “Assassin”. Ironically, Alamut’s fame caused its demise; its various conquerors demolished the castle while searching for a legendary assassin.

Alamut Rock is a popular day trek that offers a lookup view of the surrounding country. However, not much remains of Alamut Castle itself; its few surviving stone clouds are covered in scaffolding while the Iranian government tries to partially restore it for tourists.

The Old Summer Palace, Beijing, China

Yuanming Yuan – known in the Western World as the Old Summer Palace – was not a single building but a 3.5 square kilometer complex of palaces, lakes, gardens, towers and sculptures. The pride of the Qing dynasty, Yuanming Yuan, was largely destroyed by British and French troops in retaliation for the death of a British envoy during the Second Opium War. Further destruction occurred during the Boxer Rebellion and the Cultural Revolution.

We chose here to rebuild Haiyantang from the Yuanming Yuan (The Palace of Calm Seas). In front of a two-story Western-style palace, a water clock surrounded the 12 animals of the Chinese Zodiac. Today, the Martian ornament of the fountain sits within the contour of its former depression, backed by a spaced view of fallen palace columns.

Hagi Castle, Hagi, Japan

The Mōri Samurai clan lost to Tokugawa in the Battle of Sekigahara, and as a result, had to rebuild their capital in the small seaside town of Hagi. The Mōri got their revenge, however. The castle became the capital of the Chōshū Domain, which was instrumental in the final overthrow of the Tokugawa Shogunate. Ironically, the castle was dismantled by the new government in 1874 as part of a policy of centralization and modernization.

Hagi was very awesome at the time. Multiple galleries and walls protect the surrounding land, many of which are still visible. The main wooden fort has been dismantled, but its stone base and part of its moat stand. Higher up the mountain, the remains of a reserve fort can be found.

Ghazni Citadel, Ghazni, Afghanistan

The former slave Sebüktigin received the governorship of Ghazni in 977, but he promptly rebelled against his ruling Iranian rulers to found the Ghazni Empire. Ghazni became the war point of Afghanistan, sought after by the VIP conquerors from the history of Timur (Tamerlane) to the Mongols. When the citadel was famously conquered by the British in 1839, Afghan leadership had to flee Kabul. It was also used as a U.S. military base after 2001.

The remains of the citadel rest on a central hill above the walled city. However, neglect, war and weather severely damaged Ghazni. 14 of its original 32 towers have collapsed, one recently as 2019. Today, Ghazni’s walls, towers and citadel are in danger of being lost permanently to the weather winds.

Raigad Fort, Raigad, Maharashtra, India

Although parts of the structure date from 1030 AD, the already imposing fortifications of Raigad were expanded by Shivaji Maharaj. Shivaji was crowned Chhatrapati (“Umbrella Lord”) here in 1674, establishing the Marathan Confederacy as opposed to the Mughal Empire. The Confederacy ruled Raigad until its destruction by the British East India Company in 1818.

The main entrance to the castle is 820 meters above sea level – a climb of 1737 steps. (Luckily now there is an aerial tramway.) Visitors can still look at the remains of two of the three watchtowers, several reservoirs, stone trading booths and a famous wall called Hirakani Buruj.

Takeda Castle, Asago, Hyogo, Japan

Takeda was built in the 15th century by “the Red Monaco” – a man partly responsible for plunging Japan into the century of chaos known as the Sengoku period. The fort was later conquered by Toyotomi Hideyoshi during a reunion. After Hideyoshi’s death, the new shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu accused the final lord of the castle of arson during a pivotal battle. From here Takeda decayed.

Today the ruins of the castle sit 353 meters above sea level. Although no buildings remain standing on the mountain itself, a row of temples has survived at the base. The stone foundations of the castle are well preserved, having undergone minor restorations in the late twentieth century. Due to a seasonal fog that fills the valley, some mornings Takeda seems to float above the clouds.

Are people preferring High rise constructions over plots?

In High rise constructions, The skyline of Pakistan’s major cities is currently one of modern high and medium buildings. The rapid demand and development of luxury residential towers and commercial skyscrapers essentially reflect the passing of the times when living in a separate house was considered a sign of prestige and honor. Are real estate in Pakistan changing from plots to tall buildings? let’s discuss it today.

Over time, the construction of mixed-use and residential buildings has increased dramatically in the metropolises. These skyscrapers and residential towers not only enhance the beauty of outdoor buildings throughout the city but also offer all the modern amenities and facilities.

If we delve deeper to find the cause of this change in real estate trends, we will find that there are many reasons behind this sharp demand for high developments in Pakistan. The first and most important reason is the rapid growth of the population in urban areas. The massive influx of people migrating from rural areas to urban centers has forced developers and investors to focus on construction. The lack of land and high prices are some of the key factors behind the real estate investment shift from plots to high and medium towers. The government has also taken strict steps to prevent the horizontal expansion of major cities to prevent any urban sprawl, which is yet another factor that has contributed to this trend.

Demand for Housing and Houses

Demand-for-Housing-and-Houses

If we look at the statistics of just the past two years, we can say that the demand for houses and apartments in Pakistan has grown en masse.

The rough analysis of the user records reflects the demand for plots in the Federal Capital Islamabad fell from 26% in 2018 to 21% in 2020. Over the same period, the demand for apartments is growing from 15% to 17%.

A similar pattern has been observed in other regions of the country as well. For example, if we look at Punjab’s statistics, the demand for plots has fallen to 20% in 2020 from 22% in 2018. However, the demand for apartments rose from 15% in 2018 to 17% in 2020.

Real estate in Sindh has also shown a more or less similar trend. Where the demand for plots decreases from 15% to 12% and demand for housing has increased from 23% to 25% over the course of two years.

Real estate trends in KPK have also shown a decrease in the demand for plots from 22% to 20% and an increase in the popularity of housing from 17% to 19%.

The Recent Trends of the Real Estate Market

The growing trend of high development in the country has attracted the attention of real estate investors as well as developers. At present, about 85% of newly launched projects consist of high-quality housing complexes, while the remaining 15% of the newly launched mixed-use and residential projects in major cities have plots for sale.

Considering the demand for apartments and houses, some of the most prestigious builders and apartments have started launching villas, town halls, marquees and apartments. Easy delivery plans have been introduced to attract more buyers.

Loans, Mortgages and Construction Financing

Loans-Mortgages-and-Construction-Financing

The government is also working to facilitate home loans for investors. Commercial banks have also been instructed to use 5% of their total lending to finance housing while the State Bank of Pakistan has also introduced steps to encourage construction financing to developers.

The government is trying to develop a mortgage financial structure in Pakistan. It has reduced the tax on bank income generated by cheap housing finance from 39% to 20%. This will serve as an incentive for banks to provide mortgage and home loans to middle and low-income earners.

Pakistan Naya Housing Program (NPHP) has also launched a plan for home loan purchases at lower markup.

Please note that we never recommend our readers to choose any funding option that implies an interest in any form.

How This Change In Real Estate Trend Affects The General Sector

How-This-Change-In-Real-Estate-Trend-Affects-The-General-Sector

The growing demand for high and medium construction is directly proportional to the construction activities in the real estate sector. This will result in generating more job opportunities and more economic growth for the country. This will also grow the trade of hundreds of industries associated with the construction sector.

Additionally, the development of high and medium buildings is a realistic solution to deal with urbanization with a smaller plot of land. Horizontal expansions of cities not only cause urban sprawl but also cause the disappearance of agricultural land, threatening natural resources and environmental peace. From that perspective, we can say that vertical expansion reduces these problems by a significant margin.

Another effect of the real estate investment trend of plots to high towers is that this practice allows investors to raise capital gains and enjoy rental income as opposed to plots.

However, Urbanization is still the biggest factor that has caused the vertical expansion of cities. The need to accommodate the massive influx of people in major metropolises has led the government and builders to choose tall buildings to serve the purpose.

Considering the aspects we discussed above, we can conclude that this shift from real estate trends from plots to medium and tall buildings will not only benefit the construction companies across the country but will also provide an affordable living option for people who want to settle in. urban cities. areas.

Space-Saving Ideas for Small Studios Under 30 Sqm

.

Living comfortably in a space of less than 30 square meters requires some creative thinking, and this pair of studio designs have space-saving ideas that are sure to inspire. Each of these two unique small home interiors includes playroom tailored furniture that allows you to use the floor layout completely new. Home design number one has a tailored cube of the living room and bedroom furniture in one – no conventional sofa bed visible – and storage space is plentiful but unseen. Our second home design brings many closets in which an entire bathroom is hidden, and built-in bookshelf ears in a multi-level bedroom with a unique home workshop.

Our first prominent home is a 29-square-meter studio apartment owned by a young designer, located in Pruszkow, Poland. Despite its compact proportions, the minimalist living room is clearly zoned with the implementation of cubic volumes and contrasting colors.

The living room “cube” is custom-built furniture. The design fuses a tailored L-shaped sofa with copious amounts of hidden storage space around it and below, plus a bookshelf within one end.

A modern coffee table completes the square lounge layout. Part of the sofa was formed with the same steel frame backs to create a custom cohesion.

The box under the sofa hides a surprise lito trundle. The bed extends at the convenient reach of the bookcase, making it easier to choose to go to bed.

Thanks to its connectable design, this multifunctional light can be turned off from the ceiling of the kitchen dining room to become a floor-standing lamp next to the bed.

When it is in its kitchen dining room, the unique lamp is hung from a ceiling shelf to illuminate the dining peninsula.

A modern chair drops a black accent on both sides of the wooden effect bench.

Large windows fill the small living room with bright natural light. A home workspace is set up next to the glass.

An all-white kitchen project is equipped with a coordinated white integrated oven to complement the simplified aesthetic. Wrapping the small dining table with a contrast finish helps to clearly share the open concept.

The food peninsula is actually a mobile module that can become a stand-alone table/island. As seen here, the module can also be joined to the desk to make a much larger table that will seat up to eight people for dinner.

In this square configuration, the dining table and desk form a collaborative double workspace.

A solid wooden entrance bench adds a textured rustic touch to a smooth white corridor.

A wall of entrance storage is hidden behind modest handle-free cabinet fronts.

The storage wall includes a sliding volume that contains cleaning equipment and shoes.

Another panel pulls down to reveal a smooth surface.

The last door of the home entrance leads to the bathroom.

Atmospheric lighting accentuates textured dark gray wall treatment and a coordinated integrated bathroom sink.

A shower stands at the end of the narrow linear space.

Slatted ceiling panels exaggerate the long look of the room. Narrow warehouses at the end of the van store face towels and toilet supplies.

Our second home interior is a studio apartment with a special semicircular balcony design.

The balcony forms the main attraction of the tiny living space. The sloping perimeter and open roof bring joyful tree-top views and unlimited daylight.

Indoor plants thrive in abundant sunlight, growing from the shelves of a custom shelf and from plant stands around the floor.

The large built-in bookshelf forms a partition between the main apartment and the bedroom. The open side shelves serve both zones and share the natural light.

On the other side of the triangular living space, one wall kitchen is stacked up to the ceiling line to make maximum use of vertical storage space. A ladder facilitates easy access.

Wooden frame doors seal the balcony. More indoor plants bring the leafy exterior views into the embrace of the unique sunroom.

Eye field makes the space pleasant as the sunsets.

White-coated web screens filter the panorama, while pure sunshine flows from above.

The cool concrete floor is dressed in gray, green and sunny yellow tiles when we arrive at the home entrance, which is also the access point to the bedroom domain.

The bed itself is raised above the height of basic storage cupboards, which gives it an overview of the housing by the upper open shelf volume. Interesting objects line the shelves to give a strange decoration on both sides.

The multi-level small bedroom layout has a comfortable workspace across the midway point that benefits from the attractive view.

The raised floor gives the effect of going up to bed, even though the apartment is only one floor. The open shelf partition is invaluable for preventing feelings of claustrophobia in the narrow space, and for facilitating airflow.

A round coffee table takes up little space in the compact home and is light enough to be moved onto the balcony when needed.

Dining table focuses on the kitchen cabinets, hidden until needed. The table is just big enough to accommodate the two homeowners, so as not to eat up unnecessary space.

One of the other doors of a kitchen cabinet with full height is actually a secret door to the bathroom. Inside, sturdy storage shelves can also be used as a ladder, to enable the couple to quickly access bathroom supplies stacked up.

The floor plan shows that the bathroom sink is also plugged into the volume of the kitchen cabinet, which saves valuable space in the tiny shower.
