In an abundant natural environment of mature trees, dense shrubs and soft lawns, low-linear Architecture kindly blends in with the environment. The smooth, man-made linear shape lies peacefully in the emerald cushion of nature to create a balance of life, firmly rooted and standing firmly side by side. Today we celebrate our love of linear architecture with two contemporary home designs. Our first is a house of two planes, large concrete slabs that sandwich a glass room, open living spaces and private sets. A bright, rectangular pool mimics the elongated line of the building, emphasizing its scale. Our second, a house in Sotogrande, proves an almost invisible connection with its habitat with fabulous frameless glass walls.
This two-plane house steps lightly on the green ground, with construction of parallel concrete slabs that overflow well beneath the dense tree canopy.
Between the two concrete planes, a series of floor-to-ceiling windows break open the interior spaces to the fabulous view.
The wall of retractable glass doors also connects the indoor living spaces with a wide pool terrace to create an easy, windy flow for life.
The surrounding trees provide a blissful spotted shade to the pool, while the courtyard gets full sunlight for sunbathing on a set of modern chairs.
A courtyard is located on the ground floor of the concrete home. A mature tree pushes up from the yard and ascends through a cut in the concrete roof plane.
Wooden tin panels filter sunlight to create moments of cool shade, while also adding visual warmth to the cool gray concrete home exterior.
Tree shadows fall on the wooden lath walls, painting a living mural that sways in the wind and changes with the sun.
A wooden deck surrounds the lawn to connect with the edge of the pool. An outdoor chair set provides a relaxing belt with a magical view.
Inside the house, an open plan living space is being developed. A linear sectional sofa composition divides the center of the living room into two separate living areas. A custom bookcase creates a wall of rich wood tone. A wooden lath coffee table and a matching indoor bench reflect the warm background.
A second modular sofa layout runs parallel behind the first. Green upholstered lounge chairs have just been paired with the spacious garden perspective. A rustic stone fireplace chest contains a decorative log shop in the firebox opening.
A unique chair with an ottoman set makes an elegant reading area in the corner of the living room.
Floors are paved with stone slabs to perfectly blend the indoor dwellings with the outer courtyards.
A modern dining room separates the open plan living room spaces from the kitchen. Light green dining chairs give color around a natural wooden dining table. In the kitchen space, a large concrete kitchen island commands the floor. Six kitchen stools line the edge of its spacious dining bar. A concrete back reflects the cool finish of the island.
Luxurious ground cover thrives around the pavements of the garden, giving the property an appearance of permanence in the landscape.

Our second linear home design is a luxury house in Sotogrande. Its straight silhouette runs through the landscape like a dart.
Inside the luxurious living room, a fully wooden lath ceiling exaggerates the scale of the spacious space.
The wood-plated ceiling treatment extends to the outside of the home where it covers the underside of the roof overhang.
The master bedroom suite is furnished with its own lounge space, creating an ideal place for morning coffee or late night cocoa. Custom headboard has integrated floating liter units and storage in the rear for clothing.
The modern kitchen is a clean minimalist design, with a laconic color palette and elegant, sleek units. A long kitchen island threads through the center of the narrow room, with a dining bar at one end. All the devices are hidden inside the uncharacteristic white units to preserve the spotless, carefree aesthetic.
Frameless glass windows contain the living room and bedrooms, creating a seamless connection with the outdoor living spaces.
A large pool washes along the line property. A pair of modern sun loungers lie by the water, along with an outdoor coffee table for cold drinks.
Even the bathroom gets a wide view of the garden through a huge edge-to-edge window. Luxury bathtub gets top position for privileged view. A double sink vanity unit appears to protrude from the shadow-matched microcement walls.

A narrow bathroom shelf unit cracks in the corner of the vanity area, where it glows with an ethereal white light.
We see a return of burgundy veined marble in the corridor, where it is perfectly accentuated by perimeter lighting.
More marble adds luxurious flooring to the guest bathroom, which doubles as a washroom.
The laundry utensils are cleverly hidden inside the wooden panel concealed wall of a cistern. Dryer and washing machine pile up like a tower to save space, and detergents are stored on shelves above.
On the opposite side of the small multi-purpose room, a free-form bathroom mirror glows brightly around its edges. The lighted mirror highlights more modern wooden wall panels. A unique bathroom sink stands out from the custom vanity unit.
Submerged LEDs emphasize the cantilevered position of the bathroom.
Modern wall light is mounted along with the free-form wall mirror to increase task light over vanity.
White sculptural art elegantly accesses the vanity unit’s deep burgundy marble tablecloth. The piece is cleanly complemented by a matte white stand-alone faucet on the opposite side of the sink.

Home three dips into the realm of color, and design number four features a smooth capitulation of microcement in a refined, spacious dwelling.
This high home is located in Xiaogang, Anhui Province, China. As you approach the apartment on the third floor of the building, a prominent red door appears. On the other hand, an industrial-style open plan space is enclosed in water-molded concrete that makes a lacquered background for floating life zones.
A short, concrete room divider privately screens the front door of the directly adjoining lounge area. An entrance bench is hidden behind it, while a small buffet adorns the front face.
Behind the sofa, a set of smooth black wooden grain doors slides closed to neatly cover a children’s play area when not in use.
A small side table brings a moment of warm natural wood tone to the cool concrete decor that coordinates with a wooden sofa frame and matching coffee table.

With the sliding doors pulled back, the combined lounge space and playground form one large, connected family room.

Negotiating the rugged, sloping terrain, this modern home design in Santa Maria Da Feira, Portugal, is arranged to prioritize beautiful open views and a peaceful connection with the garden. Created by an architectural firm Lopes da Costa Workshop, the luxury house is focused mainly to the south, where it encompasses an outdoor swimming pool and a fixed sun deck on two sides. The elbow that connects the two sloping volumes of the home is a glazed corridor that bridges the soaked, grassy garden below. The south / north-facing slope of the site produces a false basement that pockets a comfortable TV lounge and covered parking lots between the support areas.
The white pictured modern home exterior cuts crystal through the green landscape. Two large sloping volumes separate the main dwellings from the private bedrooms, forming a protective partial enclosure around a private terrace area.
Based on the boundaries of the sloping site, the building was designed to strengthen the connection between indoor and outdoor living spaces, as well as to adore the fabulous views given by the main location.
The home offers a series of stunning views that are located to take advantage of the sun and shade depending on its function.
The pool design extends away from the main living volume of the house at a perpendicular angle, which sends it hovering through the manicured green lawn. A wooden deck borders the outdoor pool on two sides, connecting it smoothly by stairs to the main residence and to the comfortable basement TV room.
Strong plant beds cut between the solid concrete supports under the house, where they cling to the rolling hillside.
A shaded balcony runs the entire length of the large living space, inviting the homeowners and their guests to pour out into the fresh air and sunshine.
Glass railings leave the view of the green landscape and a bright blue swimming pool wide open. The sloping terrain places the pool at an intermediate level between the main floor and the basement. A small French window is cut into the base of the pool to reveal a playful glimpse of the water, and its swimmers, into the basement.
The long balcony effectively creates a bridge across the garden that joins the glass corridor link between the two large volumes of the house.
The slope of the site was the deciding factor in the project solution. The undulating character of the earth determined not only the organization of the outer living spaces, but their functional relationship with the inner.
Glass walls break the property open to the landscape on both sides.
Entrance to the home is accessible by a gently sloping ramp on the north side.
Roof windows are cut into the concrete overhang to provide built-in planters with sunlight.
A wooden floor placed at the inside of the home seems to push seamlessly under the glass walls to the outside of the house, where it transmits onto exterior feature walls.
Small balconies on the west side of the home face into the woods.
The glazed corridor between the two architectural volumes treads lightly through nature, mimicking the uplifting feeling of stepping outside without ever going past the walls.
While clean white walls produce a light and airy aesthetic in the modern home exterior, rich wood floors and custom wood accented furniture add warmth and timeless appeal.
A wooden wall panel and built-in storage give the home interior a simplified appeal.
The kitchen is placed at the end of the main living room, with the nearest connection to the pool for comfort. Bright white kitchen units reflect the incoming flow of beautiful sunlight from the south. Instead of a backsplash, a narrow window cuts open the side of the kitchen to a thin panorama. A central kitchen island puts cooking in the heart of the space, next to a casual dining room.
White sanitary ware is smoothly cleaned through a dark gray tile in the bathroom, and contrasts coldly with warm wooden elements. A frameless vanity mirror makes a simple addition over an underwater bathroom.
A second bathroom design follows a similar color and material palette, although this time smooth wet walls shine bright white. A small courtyard offers a natural yet private view next to the shower.
Another picture window blesses the bathroom with a happily tranquil view of the forest from the bathtub.
A crude, industrial-looking basic structure contradicts the perfectly clean white image that encapsulates the main volume.
The floor plan for the false basement shows the comfortable TV lounge, which lies below the main living space, and the location of the covered parking lot.

Main floor with kitchen, social open plan living room and private bedroom wing. The bedrooms are located on the highest elevation of the site, where they enjoy the utmost privacy and get views over the forest that blooms beyond and below. An isolated home office is located at the far end of the social volume, facing west, where it also boasts meditative views deep into the trees.

The pool lies on the subtle slope of the terrain.
Each of the three bedrooms has its own bathroom and a private balcony that faces the forest.
The outdoor spaces lay in the bowl of the sloping ground, overlooked by the balcony of the drawing-room.

The double high lounge reaches up to the rooftops, where a luxurious mezzanine bedroom rests in warm copper tones.
An olive green curved sofa softens the corner of our first place of residence, where it draws around double aspects.

The U-shaped sofa layout is complemented by a second green channel tufted sofa. Subtle, taut strips cross the living room carpet, adding an understated pattern against the pale microcement floor.

Mature indoor plants cheerfully complement the modern green sofas. The microcement wall treatment is smoothed around a built-in planter, forming one fusion volume.
Linear wall lights cut sharply into the microcement stucco, connecting with the deep channels of the tufted sofa design.
More indoor plants are planted in matching cement plantations, and aligned in height around a curved glass inner wall to create a delicate display.
Tall, arched windows attract the eye to appreciate the generous ceiling height of the property.
Wooden window frames contrast sharply with the gray microcement stucco walls.
A set of wooden nesting coffee tables is paired in the center of the open plan lounge space, where they are accessorized with a small collection of coffee table books.
Behind the living room, the kitchen dining room stands spacious and bright.
In the minimalist kitchen, a laconic color palette flows through a curved kitchen island, a set of well-shaped high kitchen cabinets and a neatly carved back wall.
Modern chandelier combines linear and curved elements to properly complement the kitchen design.
An open kitchen shelf is a color coordinated with the microcement wall treatment to create a quiet cohesion. Ceramic dishes are placed sparingly along the wall shelves to keep the view clean and quiet.

An area carpet and a set of nesting coffee tables lay more black anchors in the center of the light lounge layout.
A cantilevered staircase design climbs the open plan living room wall. Clear glass railings provide a safe but unobtrusive barrier along the ascent. Usually a cut, backlit mirror reaches from the living room baseboard to the ceiling behind the stairs, where it joins with the brightness of LED stair lights.

A modern fireplace cuts a curve into the concrete chimney chest. A copper back plate extends from the mouth of the firebox, extending its effect.
Behind the lounge, a modern dining set sits up to eight at dinner. A trio of large dining room hangers pile up effectively over the modern table.
A single kitchen with a kitchen island encompasses the back of the open concept living space. The wooden dining table forms a peninsula of the central island, cracking neatly under its stone counter.
Wooden boards of single fronts make a textual contrast against the polished stone floors and a smooth wooden grain back wall.

Stone feature walls build pure magic within these two very special interior designs. A rough rock accent wall forms a fabulous room divider in our first property. This unique element of decoration provides the modern living room with a huge statement and acts as a TV wall. The dramatic stone partition is split by a crack of clear glass, which creates an internal picture window that connects to the bedroom series. In our second home design, a black stone feature wall is incorporated into a grumpy living room scheme. The palpation accent wall is joined by coarse concrete and fluted finishes to create a deeply woven interior.
Our first home tour begins in a modern lounge that has a multi-faceted modular sofa layout. The sofa sections are designed to observe all four sides of the room to create a flexible and sociable solution.
One part of the sectional sofa looks out over the end-to-end wall of floor-to-ceiling windows. Another part of the modern sofa is located to enjoy the TV, which fits its stand well. Behind it, a striking stone feature wall cracks apart to have an internal image window.
Behind the living room, a large kitchen island is positioned to enjoy the window view, TV entertainment, as well as a rock face feature wall.
A second small side table adds a shiny metallic accent at the opposite end of the couch.
Soft brown accent pillows add moments of warmth to the clear white sofa upholstery.

In the first of our two custom-made apartment interiors in Moscow, cream-colored, gray, white, and wood-toned décor presents a high-end style.
A curved sofa makes a soft edge around the back of the lounge area, separating it from the dining room back. The elegant wooden chairs are Easy chairs designed by Pierre Jeanneret.
The TV wall unit includes a series of sliding lath panels that move to hide the TV screen when not in use.
Global hangers descend on a small square coffee table in the center of the living room. Plain carpet lies on a soft gray base.

Displayed by morede. studio, this lightweight and spacious apartment design is located in the heart of Moscow, Russia. The contemporary apartment covers an area of 162 square meters, which allows plenty of space for a chic open plan living space and an elegant master bedroom concept. Built-in cabinets keep the edges elegant and streamlined while he provides practical storage solutions. Decoration is unique and attention-grabbing, causing various visual stops throughout the arrangement. Bathrooms are bold, textured and structured to complement the bold coexistence.
As we enter the open plan apartment of this modern apartment in Moscow, we are immediately struck by the chic glass wall home office. The glass volume reflects the light from large living room windows. A modular sofa extends forward, cutting into the edge of an understated gray living room rug. The elegant Sampei floor lamps are designed by Davide Groppi and Enzo Calabrese.
On the opposite side of the living room, a floating TV stand threads a beautiful gray stone accent in front of fresh white wall panels. The TV is neatly on top.
A small tree makes an additional addition to one side of the TV wall arrangement, while a fluffy fake fur chair balances the other. A round coffee table puts a shiny gold accent in the center of the cozy arrangement.

Stone tiles covered the home entrance with a practical hard surface. These are replaced by a warmer wooden rafter floor in the open plan residential area.

Inside the master bedroom, a black platform bed is set against a unique deck design with a surrounding aesthetic.

We also threw in a bunch of heroic pieces to impress the stone aesthetic without bringing it to the walls, like a unique stone kitchen island, and one-of-a-kind bathroom designs with stone sanitary ware. Many of these dwellings are built right into the natural rock face, which goes like vaulted ceilings over wide open, amazing dwellings.
Amazing in its relation to nature, this amazing home design seems to straddle modern indoor and natural exterior aesthetics. A high rock face wall dominates a large bedroom space, where a canopy of green swimming pools on a huge round skylight.
A round bed and a round bedroom rug reflect the circular skylight. Mud green blankets and a matching green bedroom chair join the thick and shady canopy of plants. Slender floor lamps jump high to highlight the stone bedroom feature wall.
A vanity area is located on one side of this unique bedroom design. A stone pedestal sink mixes into a curtain of climbing plants, as if it were part of a garden. An open shower design is smoothly cut into the textured rock.

The textured rock face walls in our third featured home design are balanced with smooth white pictured equivalents. Soft gray sofas bring out the natural hue of the rock, threading it around the edges of the predominantly white decoration.
A continuation of the rock wall builds a dramatic backdrop for modern staircase design. Glass railings and open levers allow the strong feature to be admired from every corner in the home entrance. A double-sided fireplace completes the glass edges of the staircase.
In the main bedroom of this home, a rock-top wall makes an attention-grabbing statement.
A round rug works to soften the rough look of the rock bedroom design. A custom platform bed seems to float lightly over it.
The stone wall runs the entire length of the bedroom and into an open plan indoor bathroom. Here, a smooth stone bathtub adds a unique touch with palpable curves.

The orange and green color combo is exciting and bold, but not everyone likes a strong decorative palette. This collection of five modern home interiors shows how to incorporate the contrasting color combination without it becoming distracting loud or overwhelming. These inspiring home designs are dominated by muted tones. Orange hues tend to be soft apricot and brown hue tones, while green hues are fresh and mint, warm olive green, or brought in naturally by houseplants. We will be looking at ideas for orange and green lounges that use color as a zoning technique, modern bathrooms, colorful master bedrooms, fun green children’s rooms, as well as mood boards and floor plans along the way.
Molded orange accent cushions add some warmth to a small sectional sofa and white living room decor in our first design. The same accent color provides clear zoning for the dining room in the open plan residential area, this time in the form of modern upholstered chairs.

The coloring technique was again used in our second salon design. An olive green sofa defines the living room, while dark quiet orange dining chairs enclose the dining room.
All areas of the open plan living room are cohesively joined by an edge of visually warming wooden wall panels.
The woven sofa and chair have a relaxed look that suggests a relaxed exterior aesthetic. Indoor plants add to the quiet garden feel.
Round wall lamps complete the curves of the oval dining table and the architectural arches that connect the dining room to the neighboring kitchen.

A mirrored refrigerator-freezer increases the feeling of space and light in the narrow kitchen design.

This 65 square meter home is located in the Arganzuela district of Madrid, Spain. The project involved the transformation of an industrial area into residential housing.

Ultimately, our latest home design is a large, light and airy apartment that is full of vivid greenery and earthy orange accents.

Black metallic elements ground the airy decor of the living room. Wooden arches define every area of the living space, from the living room to the dining room and the kitchen.

Customized storage units form a mud room area next to the front door, with ample storage space for coats and shoes. A small puff, a standing mirror and a wall lamp form a convenient wardrobe in the corner of the lobby.
A large window allows natural light to spill onto a long residential dining table that seats up to eight people. A black wire-framed chandelier thinly silhouetted in the sunlight.
Just beyond the dining room, a modern residential kitchen design features navy blue base units and a contrasting wooden kitchen island. Elegant kitchen hangers descend onto a convenient breakfast bar that seats three.

The first of these three quiet interior designs is a creamy decoration that is elevated by green garden views. Curved furniture silhouettes smooth out the home layout, while black accents boldly interrupt its peaceful color palette. The next home we tour is full of stunning white marble moments and custom wood storage, which also serves as a chic wall panel. Finally, we visit an atmospheric apartment that was designed for a large family and their servants. Comfortable accommodation welcomes the family to enjoy quality time with each other.
We are entering our first home tour in a luxury lounge. The wall color is creamy, calm and light, and blends beautifully with the bright wooden chevron floor.
The L-shaped sectional sofa layout encompasses two sides of the living room layout, which is directed towards a stunning white marble fireplace.
The two matching white chairs on the opposite side of the living room furniture arrangement are a href = “https://fave.co/3z7A6zs” target = “_ blank”> Pacha lounge chairs designed by Pierre Paulin for Gubi. A free-standing white stone coffee table completes the curved silhouettes of the chairs.
A series of marble shelves and wooden units contain a selection of wine glasses, carafes, a coffee pot, and a teapot. LED strips brightly illuminate the vases.
The small drinking lounge has a large picture window, which enriches the compact space with a wide view of the garden.
Behind the formal dining room, a central kitchen island doubles as a casual dining room that is ideal for breakfast or just a quick coffee.
A single black hanging light illuminates the breakfast table at the end of the kitchen island. Two dining chairs and a black integrated oven provide additional dark moments to interrupt the bright wooden and cream-colored kitchen decor.

The home office is a large and luxurious space with a linear modern desk.

The second of our three home excursions begins in a wooden and white marble lounge. Unique chairs curl bold black lines into the peaceful decor.

The wooden panel walls hide generous storage. A slim built-in bookcase breaks the run, along with a sliver of atmospheric LED light.

Our final home design is located in Saudi Arabia. This 415-square-foot interior design was created for a private home that would house a large family and their servants.
The living room has a laconic but atmospheric design scheme of light stone and rich wood tone. Brown lounge chairs complement the modern wooden media.
A clear glass coffee table provides a large surface area without visibly interrupting the living room layout.
In the formal dining room, a long dining table seats six to eight people.
Wall art adds a rich brown accent to the dining room. Wine storage shelves extend across an exposed brick main wall.
Floating bookshelves fill the wall behind the unique desk. A spiral staircase leads up to the second floor.
The large home also has an elevator for older family members.
The upstairs living room gains a bit of color from a deep blue modern sofa. An L-shaped skylight illuminates the staircase below it.
Inside the master suite, a modern winged bed design sinks comfortably into an uber luxury velvet upholstery bedroom rug. Glass cabinets display a collection of designer clothing.
The little room is revived under a golden moody light that shines across the counter unit’s vanity counter. Modern wall lights are burning brightly in the bathroom mirror.
Similarly, an atmospheric light scheme animates the small dust chamber. A large backlit mirror fills the wall behind a modern pedestal sink to increase the feel of space. A wall-mounted toilet visibly opens up the floor area.
Ceiling tiles go down inside the main bathroom to serve a free-standing bathtub next to the window. An introductory shower is warmly lit around its inner edge by an embedded LED strip.

Red Laterite Stone Shines in South Indian Home

Replacing one existing house and warehouse, this large family home was made to complement the tropical lifestyle of Kerala, India. Created by The Design Room, the architecture comprehensively retains the native trees of the 600 square meter site, and encloses several of them within a central courtyard design. The built-up spaces separate from this outdoor heart of the home, which achieves a comfortable connection. The open plan layout was guided by the region’s humid climatic conditions. The benefits of cross ventilation, passive cooling and natural lighting have satisfied the vision for an energy-efficient home. Outside, the vegetation contrasts sharply with the visual warmth of a rich red laterite stone.
The attractive three-storey house structure has a clear modern façade of contrasting red stone and pure white imagery. Established plants harden around the edges of the plot, growing abundant borders. Built-in planters pull a splash of natural greenery up at the front entrance door, and onto the first-floor terrace of the home.
Paving stones interrupt the green ground cover, placing a welcoming checkered driveway. Low metal gates intelligently in front of the property, while white-made walls separate the dwelling from its close neighbors.
Overhangs above the windows and terraces keep the interior and exterior living quarters cool and shady. Umbrella roofs have been implemented into the home design to support passive cooling of the interiors. These attractive roof structures also successfully hide solar panels installed on them.
The materials for the construction were carefully selected due to their local availability and their thermal effects. Laterite, an iron-rich soil and a rock formation formed in tropical areas, was widely used in construction. Historically used in monument construction, this time Kannur brick laterite bricks are used correctly as a replacement for exterior cladding.
A minimalist interior design completes the airy openness of the floor. Wooden furniture and window frames complement the natural greenery both inside and outside the home. The soft upholstery is light and creamy to adhere to a peaceful palette of polished white floors and white painted walls. The design shows detailed attention to the efficient circulation of air throughout the house, using lath fords and open bookcases to create lightweight zoning.
A double high vacuum makes for an impressive dining room. The modern dining set is a rich wood tone that warmly coordinates with the architectural details of the home. Double doors connect the inner dining room with the main courtyard.
A small courtyard design thrives under a wide skylight, where it blurs the boundaries between interior and exterior. A huge glass window presents the beautiful view to the apartment and staircase, while glass doors lead to the dining room.
There is a modern vanity unit with a bathroom sink inside the courtyard where the family can wash their hands before dinner. A round wall mirror makes an elegant decorative feature.
The staircase design has open levers, allowing the view of the courtyard and natural light to flood without hindrance. A comfortable seat takes advantage of the pleasant view.
The creamy, white and wood minimalist decor continues inside the quiet bedrooms. In the master bedroom series, three wooden shutters create a tropical style trapping feature behind the wooden platform bed. Bespoke wooden wardrobes span the entire length of the large room to a matching bookshelf.
False walls with decorative holes are included on the west and south sides of the home to achieve cooler interior spaces. The decorative screens create a beautiful play of light through the open interior.
Comfortable seats dot the home, made up of modern chairs and an ottoman or two. The seats offer a quiet moment of family solitude for a place of reading or peaceful contemplation.
As well as the already established plant life on the plot, additional plantation was chosen to harmonize with local growing conditions and the customers preferred aesthetics.
A map is shaded by vehicles from the hot sun during the day. Exterior lights brightly illuminate the driveway, balconies and terraces at night.
The first floor terrace overlooks the central courtyard down below ground level, creating a family flow connection across the vertical plane.
The sun-stained courtyard has round decorated areas that interconnect with circular plant beds. The plant beds are dotted around to contain huge trees that were already established on the site when it was purchased. In fact, the idea for the big yard stemmed specifically from the notion of wanting to protect the many adult trees at the core of the plot.
The site is located just one kilometer from Kollam beach.

The open flow of the home arrangement encourages many interactions between family members, as well as time spent outdoors in nature and fresh air. These interactions with family and nature help a lot with mental well-being, while the home gym will help in the quest to keep the body healthy.

Beautiful views of Table Mountain, vast blue sky and the glittering city give this fabulous modern home its distinctive essence. Created by an architectural firm SAOTA, the luxury family home is located on Signal Hill, Cape Town, below Lion’s Head. This stunning place has formed a home design with lots of windows to take in the majestic panorama. An inverted pyramidal roof creates a clear window around the upper level, capturing additional views that would have been forgotten. Sights of the sun, a silver moon and bright stars paint a peaceful connection with nature. Living rooms are placed on the top floor to take advantage of the perspective, while bedrooms, workshops, gym and cinema make up the rest of three levels.
The access to the property exhibits a humble stone wall that is built in the traditional Cape way. This traditional feature is combined with the modern exterior of the glass roof window, which becomes a giant attractive light box at night.
The front entrance is hidden away at the end of the attractively rustic stone wall. Modern concrete steps seem to float lightly to the front door of the house, towards a large metal front door.
The main settlements are developed through the upper floor of the three-story home, where they spill onto a wide terrace with a swimming pool and outdoor lounge.
Within the living space, a large area rug defines an elegant living room from the rest of the open plan. Two bright orange lounge chairs compete loudly for attention to the stunning panoramic mountain views.
In the evening, the town of Cape Town blazes at the bottom of the hill and mountains, creating a magical panorama of dancing lights under the sunset.
The endless pool rushes up to the edge of the elevated plot, irresistibly drawing the eye to the mountain-stinging horizon.
A wooden deck lays the groundwork for another terrace lounge, which is furnished with a modern beige sofa and a pair of wooden outdoor coffee tables.
The inverted pyramidal roof forms an enchanting ceiling. Its wooden slope directs the line of sight towards slender skylights.
Tree tops pile up at the edges of the property, growing an abundant green border to eradicate neighboring buildings.
Concrete stepping stones lead through a “wild” garden landscape covered with boulders, shrubs and various ground plants. The gardens blur the boundaries between the open mountain and the enclosed property.
Brightly colored slices enliven the interior. A round table with coordinating stools has a multi-colored paint effect that glows happily in the sunshine that spills through huge glass doors.

In the center of the space, the stylish pendulum swings into the more contemporary realm of modern furniture and a fashionable living room rustic coffee table.
In the dining room, a large and impressive wooden dining table is equipped with the Easy chair designed by Pierre Jeanneret.
The kitchen is completely separate from the living quarters.
A modern kitchen island curves a trendy runway-shaped silhouette at the core of the space, which also serves as a casual dining room or cafe.

Upon entering the master bedroom of this neoclassical style home, we enter a high-ceilinged space with grand arches. The bed is centered with a symmetrical arrangement of marble tables and chic bedside lamps on either side.
The two arched gates at the entrance to the bedroom create an attractive framing around the head of the bed and a traditional fireplace.

From the outside, the modern home is trimmed with mature palms and established plant beds that frame the fresh white image of asymmetrical architecture. Inside the house, a bold staircase design dominates a wide entrance that leads into open and airy lounges. The simple yet elegant accommodations pause at bright courtyards that provide a blissful breeze. One sun-stained courtyard has a beautiful koi fish pond that provides vibrant color, life and quiet entertainment to family members of all ages.
As we approach our prominent home from the main street, White-painted boundary walls complete the clear white depiction of sharp asymmetrical architecture that cuts into the clear blue sky. Ripe palm trees soften the sloping silhouette of the house before the gradient of the roof guides the eye down into established plant beds.
The modern façade shines warmly at night, as outside lights illuminate the porch and indoor jewelry glitters from within a light-permeable second-floor wall.
Stone paving slabs covered the driveway and entrance of the contemporary Indian home, clearing the path for visitors. An architectural overhang provides ample shade over the front door.
Above the front entrance, a covered balcony offers a cool and shady place to hang out, read or chat.
As we enter the high-quality home, we are greeted with a wide-open entrance. A dominant modern staircase design climbs to the upper floor with open wooden steps and a bold solid black railing.
Open doors lead from the wide entrance into the living room and a separate dining room. A watery courtyard installs a peaceful break between the residences and encourages a blissful wind to cool the inner rooms.

We show two ends of the size scale for industrial-style concrete-themed interiors here. Our first is a particularly large two-story home with three double bedrooms to boast, and some colorful accent colors to brighten up the mood. The other is a much smaller home with a one-story studio apartment layout and is nuanced with a more muted color palette. Both of these strong interior designs feature a crude gray concrete decoration extending through their walls and ceilings. Unshielded ducts and electrical wires strip the crude chambers. In contrast, the furniture is high-end with smooth edges and smooth finishes. Modern art and plants bring personality and life.
An entire wall of windows illuminates the living room in home number one. The green view inspires the introduction of indoor plants into the raw gray concrete scene.

Inspired by nature, this minimalist home interior of 180 square meters features a completely earthy palette of rich brown and calm beige. Textured elements give large living spaces great depth and unique character. Displayed by NK Interior in Kyiv, Ukraine, the domestic concept holds high rooms where roofs are smoothed by wide panels of chocolate wood grain. Compatible wall panels draw additional attention to the height of the apartments and bedrooms. Fabulous hanging lights fill the vast voids below the roofline, glowing with warm and atmospheric light. White marble slabs cover luxurious bathroom decor, with modern fixtures inventing a high-quality finish.
We begin the tour of this luxurious home in an impressive double-height lounge, where a high-rise tiled floor features textured wall bubbles. The natural inspired 3D tile design is reminiscent of scales, and delivers a beautiful silky finish to the living room area.
The ceiling of the huge living room is clad in beautiful wood grain, which makes the high space feel comfortable despite its massive scale.
A textured ceramic vase and a unique incense burner adorn the larger of the two nesting coffee tables. The beige modern sofa draws a clean, simple line across the darkly detailed feature wall that glows behind it.
The elegant lounge area opens directly into an equally lofty kitchen dining room that follows the same serene color palette of warm beige, matte black and natural wood tone. The kitchen cabinets have the same wood-tone finish as the attractive ceilings to achieve an individually tailored look. Lighted open kitchen shelves cross the back of the room, where they create a bright spot of interest.
Opposite the 3D tiled main wall in the living room, a modern fireplace flickers across a long black fireplace. The TV is mounted just above it, placed inside a block of units with a cane texture finish. The wall-mounted units offer generous storage space for media, consoles and books.
A wide window frames a modern lounge chair that has a unique sculptural appeal. A fabulous view of mature trees embraces the distant horizon.

Conversely, a dining chandelier makes a great statement in the adjoining space with multiple low hanging pendants. The three hangers pull loose halos along a large dining table and an integral kitchen island. LED perimeter lights draw a bright separation between the materials, which gives additional emphasis to the feature wall.
Several bedroom hangers flow down in front of the textured focal wall, landing low above one of the liter units. A shapeless bedroom rug puts shades of gray across the microcement floor.
A simple canvas table connects to the side of the bedroom TV wall units. An illuminated vanity mirror provides a focused task light.

Nature has revitalizing effects that are great for mental health, but often we are pretty much removed from it in our modern homes. In built-up areas, there may be limited space for gardens, or they may not offer enough privacy from the nearest neighbors. Courts offer an opportunity to correct this. Surrounded by the home itself, there are no curious eyes from the next door, and the central location of the green space encourages passage through it as one moves from one inner room to the next. Designed by Kaizen Archi, These two bright and modern Vietnamese villa concepts are centered around their airy courtyards, which provide happily cooling ventilation and a serene 360º garden view.
Measuring 26 feet by 30 feet, our first Vietnamese villa design is a modern apartment that is surrounded by an abundant garden shore of mature shrubs and palm trees.
The two-story house is arranged in a square formation, with a courtyard split inside.
The modern facade is shielded by high walls to ensure privacy of the road that goes near the front entrance.
Once inside the villa, the aesthetic remains clear and modern with fresh white walls, ceilings and floors. Natural wood elements and beige fabrics warm the color palette, and solid black accents provide heavy visual anchors.
The large and airy living room is an open layout that encompasses the kitchen and dining rooms behind the lounge.
Retractable glass doors adjoin the living room with the outdoor terrace, which increases the usable space. The indoor-outdoor living arrangement also ensures plenty of cooling airflow through the Vietnamese villa.
The kitchen installation fills the back of the living room with rich wooden cabinets. Compatible wood effect panels reach up to the ceiling line to extend the aesthetics and make a much grander statement. A coordinating kitchen island separates the kitchen from the dining room and adjoining living room.
The lounge is spread out in a peaceful courtyard design with mature trees and a deck for dining in the fresh air.
Wide windows create sun-drenched bedrooms with beautiful views of the green borders. The end of a couch matches the earthen upholstered bed, while two chairs join the cool gray bed and a concrete retaining wall.
Within the master series, a low partition wall separates the sleeping space from a toilet area.
Espresso bedding coordinates perfectly with the deep shadow of the headboard wall. A private terrace awaits just outside the sliding glass doors, with a soothing view of the tropical treetops.
The bathroom has a fabulous view of its own that can be enjoyed from the bathtub.
Two outdoor chairs and an inviting hanging chair find shade under a short roof overhang and a few small trees in raised planters.
On one side of the house, a narrow courtyard area extends along the high perimeter wall, which is softened by overhanging plants and a border of dense greenery.

A round coffee table creates a dark core for the living room layout, and adds a balancing element to the large black TV screen.
Sliding glass doors connect the living room with an airy patio, which then leads to the kitchen dining room. A large, glass dining room chandelier captures the light from double-height windows.
Gray kitchen stools mojose match the gray upholstered dining chairs, while the kitchen cabinets bring a warm wood tone to the room.
The brandy color reappears in a padded bed design in the master series.
Beige bedroom rug easily merges with the wooden chevron floor.
Modern bedroom hangers are suspended on either side of the bed, where they complement the metal finish of two luxury liter units.
A pair of bathroom mirrors hang from the ceiling of the vanity area, where LED perimeter lights cast a comfortable glow.
Inside the modern nursery, a step platform lifts the child’s bed off the floor and provides storage space underneath.
Sky blue closets are built in at the end of the bed, where they adhere to a children’s workspace.
In the home office, warm orange accents add energy to black, white and wood grain decor. A designer chair makes a chic reading song between two bookshelves.

Gold accents, luxurious marble and wood tone elements make up these two very elegant family home designs. We will visit two very different living space arrangements, each with its own light and luxurious aesthetic, with two gloriously chic kitchen designs. The luxurious marble, gold and wood-tone palette is carried in a multitude of fabulous bedroom designs, including an adorable nursery with antique roses and arched elements. Beautiful bathrooms come last but not least, where high-end finishes benefit the most limited dimensions. Lots of custom furniture designs will also inspire here, as well as elegant light ideas and eye-catching walls.
This home design started as two apartments, at 33 and 74 square meters. The two traits were joined and rearranged to fit a young married couple with two children. The living room carries design traditions of French classic apartments, under a chic palette of white marble, gold and wood tone. A luxurious marble feature wall dominates, and round coffee tables draw the aesthetic into the center of the room.
Chic bookcases rise on either side of the white marble-covered TV wall. The arrangement of staggered shelves shows gold decorative vases and gold candlesticks. A golden wall light shines over the wall-surprised TV screen.
A designer lounge chair is upholstered in pure white fabric for a high-end look that blends in with the marble accents.
Wooden enclosures draw attention to the deep windows, giving them an attractive and custom-made finish that nicely coordinates with the kitchen that contains the opposite wall.
A large glass vase makes a light-reflecting table that is filled with elegant white buds.
A golden sink makes a wonderful contrast against the white marble country. Induction cooker with integrated extractor keeps the kitchen layout simplified.
An additional bedroom has been added to the apartment to accommodate all family members. Warehouses were reduced but the separate master set with escort and dressing room was preserved. Each bedroom has a soothing milky white, beige and gray color scheme and a modern chandelier as the focus.
A wooden slatted floor runs through each bedroom and apartment in the family apartment.
Wood flooring is turned off in the shower room, in favor of a white marble tile that can flow perfectly into the wet zone.
In this luxurious bedroom design, assembled units are illuminated at their base to exaggerate the buoyancy effect.
Decorative coverings keep the classic apartment aesthetic.
The second bathroom is enlarged on the marble-clad decoration with a custom pedestal sink.
Our second home design features a fully open plan living space and staircase layout. Beige living room rug softly defines the living area within the free-flowing layout, while two color-coordinated modern sofas lighten the perimeter.
A gold design table lamp adds atmospheric light on a black side table that is integrated into the contrasting cream sofa.
The black table accent inspires a black upholstered lounge chair with an ottoman over in the reading corner. A unique floor lamp brings the golden element.
Four upholstered dining chairs are paired with a custom-made dining table design that is formed around a small kitchen peninsula that contains the sink.
Three race-shaped dining room hangers drip gold accents over the dining area to give it a bolder presence in the opening plan.
In the home entrance, a round mirror is located above a simple white floating console unit to form a practical garment and a drawstring at the front door.
Decorative gold wall hooks are mounted on one side of a row of aisle storage units, while an elegant entrance stool and full-length mirror are located on the other.
Inside the master suite, a platform bed has a floating effect over a luxurious gray bedroom rug.
A white marble plank wall separates the sleeping space from the dressing area.
Pale gray blankets perfectly match the subtle hue of the bedroom rug.
A floating vanity table is mounted to the rear of the marble trapdoor wall, which conveniently places it next to the entrance cupboard.

Displayed by Shamil Kalimulaev, this home design is born out of a journey of self-exploration. The designer’s own tastes and desires have shaped an airy apartment that is styled with modern classics. Pure simplicity factors as one of the main components of the interior design. In the words of Yukio Mashima: “Simplicity is the highest point of wisdom. Anyone who dislikes simplicity only evokes compassion. If a person fears simplicity, then he is far from maturity.” In the bedroom, an atmospheric lighting plan accentuates fashionably textured decorative components and a neoclassical twist. A soothing but solid scheme of stony gray, luxurious black marble, and equal matte. black appliances shade the elegant bathroom.
Pure white color scheme, high ceilings and high windows build an ethereal living room decor. A white living room rug emphasizes a curvy white sofa design that is too cushioned to resist.
A pair of lounge chairs add bold tan and black accents on both sides of the lounge layout.
Glass nest coffee tables take on a tan hue in the center of the light lounge, where a single coffee table book provides a minimalist decoration. A white concrete planter contains an explosion of emerald greenery nearby.
On the other side of the lounge chair duo, a huge wall mirror reflects the room, making it look twice its actual size.

Once in the kitchen dining room, we come across a luxurious white marble kitchen island in the center of the room that serves as a casual dining / breakfast bar.
The white marble counter wraps around the ends of the kitchen island like one smooth flowing piece. Black kitchen appliances are integrated into a wall of built-in black cabinets.

Three elegant kitchen stools line warm cognac accents against the island’s cool white marble background. Black metal frames give the stools a sharp edge that coordinates with a dark black kitchen faucet at the back.
Black base units provide a dark contrast at the back of the black, white and wood-toned kitchen design. A trio of cutting boards echo the room palette in solid black, white marble and natural wood finishes. A single modern wall light is beautifully framed by a traditional decorative boiserie, where it adds focused task lighting over the cooking pot.
Continuing into the bedroom concept, we find a boiserie frame filled with a huge mirror. The mirror is ideally placed to increase the feeling of space and light around a small workspace in the corner of the room. A cream swivel chair provides a slight contradiction of color against the black floating desk.
Linear wall lighting evenly illuminates the entire length of the desk without eating into the workspace. A modern headset, however, could tidy up the work area a bit more.
Fluted wall panels hang a trendy texture across the headboard presentation wall. Upholstered bed completes the vertical texture in channel tufted linen.
The design of a bedside table is a unique sloping silhouette that adds a chic contemporary vibe against the classic boiserie background.
LED strips are fixed around the edges of the fluted wall panels to create a glowing, floating effect.
A pale gray bedroom rug softens the floor around the bed. Oak planks lie on a natural floor across the rest of the bedroom, which connects cohesively with the hallway, living room and kitchen dining room.

As we move into the bathroom, we encounter another interpretation of the fluttering trend of texture that threads a cohesive theme throughout the apartment. Illuminated round mirror and globe bathroom lights build a soft and atmospheric lighting plan. A contemporary radiator cradles clean bathrooms on heated shelves.

The dramatic rustic aesthetic is met with smaller boho and nomadic fusions to form transitional moments. Modern linear furniture silhouettes and curved decorative accessories introduce sparkles of contemporary style. A rustic color palette of peaceful beige and browns forms a warm and comfortable atmosphere with a nuance of intimacy and romance. Abundant indoor plants bring naturally edifying greenery. Naked concrete decoration and stone elements add a sturdy weight and a comfortable sense of constancy in the fickle modern world.
The first of our three deeply rustic interior designs is a large and luxurious apartment with a high living room. Measured pendant lights descend over an aged wooden coffee table at the core of the lounge layout, where a rustic puff duo is casually nestled at one end.
At the far end of the grand hall, large wooden shutters slide back to reveal the TV wall.
Linear modern sofa design is bedded on a textured rustic base to give the best of both worlds. Transparent drapes wave and romantically flow in the wind at the living room windows.
Woven lounge chairs are joined with a round wooden coffee table along the edge of the room to form an intimate conversation place or reading night.
The geometric fabric in the lounge chairs is complemented by tapping geometric patterns on each of the windows and doors.
A stone floor lays an attractive bed for the living room, and makes a boundary around a sunken conversation pit. Stone steps lead down into each side of the soaked area in an attractive symmetrical arrangement. A rectangular coffee table cuts down the center of the layout.
Built-in sofas encompass the perimeter of the conversation in a comfortable U-shaped formation. A built-in planter contains a mature plant on each side to beautifully frame the room.

The second bedroom scheme also has its own comfortable lounge area, arranged with a small sofa and nest round coffee tables. Sliding glass doors give access to the bedroom’s own mini-courtyard, which is privately sheltered from the rest of the exterior.
The Rhythms of Nature project is a 91.8-square-meter home design in Bordeaux, France. Natural tones color the peaceful decorative palette, which features a raw mural, rotating fabrics and lots of beautiful neutral bohemian accessories.

Located in Barcelona, Spain, our second Scandi-Boho home tour begins in a lighted hall. A tasseled living room rug lies boho vibes under a Scandi lounge chair and a tripod floor lamp.
The Scandinavian style chair design features an element of cord wrapped around the frame that nods to the boho aesthetic.

Our third home design is a project in Colwyn Bay, Wales. Mid-century modern inspired Scandi side embraces the width of the living room, where fluffy imitation leather lounge chairs seem irresistible.
The bedroom is small but well arranged. A flat-textured bedroom rug holds together a pair of Scandinavian stools at the end of the bed. Rotating hanging light shades expand the symmetrical arrangement on each side of the bed.
The bathroom contains sharp black accents in the form of a linear modern bathroom, black toilet appliances and a black shower.
On our final Scandi-Boho home tour, bright turquoise accents rock a primarily neutral decorative palette. A large rug lays a simple pale gray base for the layout of the living room.

Impressively large rooms with high ceilings and wide windows build these two exceptional rustic Mediterranean villa designs. A warming palette of natural materials covers each room in the form of loose rotania furniture, jute rugs, rustic wicker hanging light shades, curtain rods and hessian throws. Displayed by Anastazio Bulycheva, The texture-rich accessories are met with crude mural and fresh infusions of indoor plants. Sliding glass doors adjoin indoor and outdoor living spaces to take advantage of the warmest and most glorious weather. Comfortable outdoor lounge areas have been formed around the pool terraces, where mature green borders grow serene seclusion and picturesque perimeters.
Our first rustic Mediterranean-inspired villa design comes to us from Turks and Caicos Islands, lying on the southeastern outskirts of the Bahamas. We begin the villa tour in a luxurious bedroom design, where light drapes of arpels flow in the wind at wide windows.
Hessian treatment of headboard and matching throw adds a deep, visually warming texture to the bed, along with two decorative jute accent cushions. Stainless steel bedroom hangers feature a much cooler and sharper aesthetic on both sides of the bed.
A floor lamp adds a stainless steel accent next to a lounge chair in the corner of the bedroom. A set of glass doors leads to the terrace to extend the bedroom into a cool seat.
Next to the bedroom chair, a small table provides a convenient cornice for putting down books and a cold drink. A mature plant blooms in a handmade wicker plant.
Round jute floor cushions are spread out on the concrete terrace that lies outside the bedroom. Just around the corner, the blue pool water glows invitingly in the sunlight.

Our second rustic Mediterranean pool villa design is located in Marbella, Spain. In this concept, lines are a little smoother, and the decorative palette a little lighter. Living room carpet warmly reflects the rich natural tone of exposed wooden ceiling beams.

The first of our three home designs, pictured by Yurii Chaikovskyi and Nina Semenkova, is an impressive high-ceilinged home with elegant arches and rich muted green accents. Our second home design features a double height living room with a colorfully eclectic style. The last of our tours takes place in an all-white home interior, where classic details create deep boundaries of decorative cover and woodwork around a counteractive core of ultramodern pieces.
This incredibly spacious holiday home is Villa Lago Maggiore, located on picturesque terrain in Italy. The impressive high-ceilinged luxury lounge is airy and sun-kissed, and has classic architectural arches of immense proportions.

A Traditional Kerala Style House From The South Of India

Traditional Kerala architecture is a famous style of South India, which is primarily based on the science of carpentry principles which are known as Thachu Shastra, and the science of architecture & construction known as Vastu Shastra. A central, airy courtyard is essential in a traditional Kerala home, and that is why a pond edge courtyard design creates the heart of this 2400 square foot residence in Palakkad. Designed by i2a Architects for Mr. Rajeev & family, this house was created with a fundamental concept ‘Idanazhi’, which in regional language means corridor. The light-filled hallway establishes easy flow through every open area of the home, keeping family members close and connected.
The most distinctive features of Kerala style architecture are monsoon-resistant roofs that take long and steep, simple circular, or square shapes, the gable windows, and tall pillars.
Local materials characterize both the exterior and interior of the home with a combination of wood, clay tile, and brick. The local materials achieve a harmonious balance with the surrounding landscape.
The front entrance accepts a traditional Padippur design, which consists of a covered entrance that leads directly into the main part of the house. This modern version of the Padippura concept also includes a heavy wooden front door for extra security and privacy around the front garden.
The Poomukham, or entrance porch, represents the first interior space of the house. It is located under a sloping clay tile roof, which is supported by cement pillars. Once upon a time, the head of the family would settle on the Poomukham in a reclining chair, equipped with a thuppal kolambi (spit).
Mature plants and abundant lawn grow a fresh green border around the red brick house.
Raw gray concrete contrasts sharply with the clay roofs and red masonry that build an interesting layered effect.
A concrete planter brings flowering of the greenery from the front garden to the outside entrance of the home, to create a welcoming entrance for guests and extended family. Exterior lights illuminate the path to the front door.
Once within the traditional Kerala Style architecture, a more modern atmosphere brings the interior to the realms of contemporary home design. Elegant round coffee table design combines natural wood grain with trendy matte black finished frame. A lined upholstered sofa and chair set sharp silhouettes. A cut white wall paint makes a fresh contradiction to interior exposed masonry feature walls.
Clay muxarabi screens allow natural daylight to filter into the main hallway that characterizes the home. Light play changes according to the position of the sun.
The essential central courtyard of this traditional Kerala style house is connected with a smaller courtyard design that comes out from under a modern staircase design.
A shrub grows in the center of the main courtyard, where it thrives under an open roof window. A kitchen window allows an appreciation of the courtyard view and the natural light here.
Narrow ponds run along each side of the yard design, providing habitat for aquatic plants to grow and adding to the relaxed atmosphere.
A wooden deck chair is set up on the tiled floor of the courtyard as a place for the homeowner to come and relax, reflect or converse with family members in the kitchen through the open kitchen window. Another clay musharabi screen climbs to the full height of the two-story courtyard design, where it filters out the strong sunlight, offers a cooling breeze and forms an interesting sculptural element.
From the courtyard, we move through the main hallway of the home into the open plan kitchen and dining room.
Exposed red masonry walls instill visual warmth into the dining room. The wooden dining table and dining chairs carry a complementary reddish hue. The kitchen is a modern gray, white and wooden layout, with a smooth peninsula that separates it from the neighboring dining room.
The same red wood finish builds a modern staircase design throughout the home. Metal railings exaggerate the contemporary aesthetic.
Open levers allow a picturesque view of the basement courtyard to look through on the ascent to the upper floor. Muxarabi clay accepts natural light on the stairs and the indoor plants.
Custom cabinets form an entrance table with storage where colorful decorative bowls and vases are displayed. Next to this, a higher unit serves as a vanity area for the homeowners and their guests to clean up after entering the home.
The bedrooms are large and spacious with airy high ceilings. A Moroccan quarter-bed and a matching desk inject elements of a warm wood tone into the simple white decorative scheme. Wooden bookshelves are stacked over the home workshop to provide practical storage. A small piece of bedroom wall decoration adds some color over a pair of luxurious gray accent pillows and a matching bed throw.
In the second bedroom, raw gray concrete decoration builds a more grumpy atmosphere. A wooden reading chair is located under a high window to form a quiet reading song. Wooden liter units fly the bed with a cohesive matching tone. Small indoor plants punctuate the dark bedroom decor with moments of edifying greenery and soft texture.
An open masonry around the perimeter wall of the home reveals glimpses of the architecture and garden that lie inside and allows the homeowners to look outside from the lawn and the downstairs windows.

Asian influence adds a different flavor to these three chic mid-century modern home interiors, communicating world sophistication. This Argentine house takes on a linear, monolithic shape that dominates a green landscape next to an indigenous forest. Built with walls of cold concrete, the large house features a hard, brutalist exterior that can be seen from afar. As viewers approach, intermittent walls of rustic stone interrupt the smooth expanses of gray imagery, bringing texture and depth into rectangular cuts. Created by architects at Patio Studio, the house design is both separated and connected by courtyard areas that expand the volume of the home. The patio elements create an internal-external connection and serve as an integral part of the floor layout, complementing the main functions of the home.
Located on the edge of a sloping neighborhood, the house is blessed with green surroundings and abundant native forest background. The land on which the linear concrete house is built is suitably flat.
Apart from lawns, vegetation around the house is sparse. A raised planter was built at the front of the house to healthily balance the cold concrete and stone exterior.
A swimming pool embraces the side of a ground floor terrace, where outdoor furniture encourages socializing in the open air. The ground floor terrace also has a barbecue area and is connected to a volleyball court.
Soil was removed from around the site to raise the house to a rise of 1.3 meters. This adjustment raises the line of sight to pass over the neighboring grove and to a higher view of the larger landscape.
The upper floor of the home contains nine different spaces: the living room, dining room, kitchen, three bedrooms and three bathrooms.
The rooms are connected by a passage and separated by courtyards.
Inside the home, warm and inviting atmospheric lighting illuminates walls of rich wood tone panels and matching doors. A homemade built-in sofa design echoes the elegant and linear aesthetics of the home exterior. Cognac leather cushions soften the look.

The fine beige, wood-like vein of Serpeggiante marble pays the perfect complement to the shiny metallic elements that highlight these interiors, where there is a solid emphasis of finishes and elegance. A tame infusion of golden dances through the first home design, updating a simple media unit, home accessories, and popping up in the kitchen. The golden touch rises in home tour number two, where we witness another glorious golden kitchen island and a gold-backed fireplace with a luxurious Serpeggiante marble setting, plus a chic marble dress bathroom project with gold fixtures.
Located on a riverside apartment complex overlooking the Zhivopisny Bridge in Moscow, Russia, this 80-square-meter apartment concept focuses on high-quality finishes and luxurious gold accents. Straight lines form a main feature of this design that directs the gaze around the camera.
A linear wall light strips a wall of split wooden paneling, which is interspersed with vertical mirrors. This broken effect causes an optical illusion of added space, as if another camera is developing on the other side of the split panels.
A serpentine marble forms a polished, round coffee table in the center of the light lounge space. A small black side table makes a dark contrast companion to the piece.

Every home interior is equipped with elegant custom furniture that creates simplified layout arrangements and abundant storage opportunities. Pure white paint, natural wood grain, stains of uplifting greenery and soothing beige elements make for a soothing balance of decorative tones. In these relaxing surroundings, personalized touches shape the red furniture to instill a unique character and unexpected interest. Contemporary accent chairs, wall art, textured wall panels, a lighted shelf, perimeter lighting and beautiful modern pendants are added to the mix, where they successfully form fascinating ensembles to amuse a creative eye.
This business dining room has a wall full of media. Custom cabinets build an expanse of contrasting white and wood finishes behind the TV and around to the kitchen.
A simple beige living room rug defines the free living room of an adjoining dining room. The bright decorative tones create a spacious and airy aesthetic despite the close proximity of the two different apartments. A huge window fills the room with natural sunlight.
A coal kitchen installation is in stark contrast to the rest of the light living room.

As the future home of a designer couple, this project came into the hands of LINKS architects with some very specific homeowner requirements. The couple wanted to integrate their daily work environment as a fundamental piece of the puzzle, where it merges with the regular routine at home. Because of this desire for hard work and home life, the 375-square-foot house was built on two main functions. The essential home office is located downstairs on the first half-basement floor, with a welcoming residential area located on the upper level. It is here that a tall window envelops a toned double-height room, and an impressive windscreen brings an amazing sunlight pattern.
The modern exterior of this project uses a pattern of wind blocks that perform a decorative function both inside and out. The blocks were implemented to allow a generous influx of lifting sunlight to enter the double high living space, where the playful penetration causes an aesthetic play of light.
Planters face the home exterior on two levels, which work to blend the contemporary structure with its surrounding green landscape, thus mitigating its presence on the ground.
Large black gates reveal a shady glimpse of the terraced entrance inside. Elevated planters and outdoor lighting create a magical atmosphere to welcome the owners home, and create a lasting first impression on guests.
At the back of the house, the classic gable of a roof is brightly highlighted by a strip of exterior light around its edge. Massive windows break the side of the building, exposing happy sky views to those living inside.
A tall window wraps around the sloping roof above the double-height living room, exposing the space to clear skyscrapers. The room is further brightened with light decorative pieces in the form of a soft cream carpet from a living room and a modern sofa. Modern black wheelchairs add a dark score to the layout.
The wall of decorative windbreaks provides the living room with a unique focus. The wall is raised to allow access to the concrete roof of the car park, where a dry garden is planted.
The living area is a bit proud of the kitchen dining room, where a small lighted staircase gives access. The gabled roof encompasses the entire living space, making it possible to reach the ultimate ceiling height thanks to the slope of the slope.
The kitchen appears from behind flat fronts, with no cabinet door handles.
A mezzanine platform is built over the kitchen to better utilize the vast ceiling height in this area.
Access ladders climb up and over the hidden kitchen project. A sun-heated attic net makes a tempting place for rest and relaxation under a wide roof window.
The homeowner demanded that the project put a firm focus on accessibility to welcome their elderly parents who have walking challenges. Aesthetically pleasing accessible ramps were built to connect the floors instead of large stairs. The mid-level ramp optimizes and maximizes the available area in the house.
The semi-private living space is located in front of the house, with more secluded bedrooms to the rear.
The two living volumes are separated by a dry garden, which gives additional ventilation and natural light.
A peaceful atmosphere grows out of the inner garden, which feeds on a resting pause in the separation between the walls of the two masses.
The outdoor home entrance evokes the same feeling of rest with abundant green planting and bright light. Despite its cool raw concrete exterior, the home has a warm and attractive presentation. This forecourt is also the main garden for the home, although the rooftop gardens offer sweeter views and the courtyards surrounded between living volumes give more privacy.
The master bathroom is a darkly decorated space with a black bathtub. A glass wall toilet is installed next to the shower cabin in a smooth, sharp layout.
The bathroom as a whole is a glass-walled room that allows natural light to be borrowed from the bedroom windows.
A unique bathroom basin looks through the glass wall into the bedroom and the views beyond the outside windows. A capped faucet descends onto the shallow black sink. The dark decorative plan continues through the bedroom to achieve one coherent look.
A basement floor plan, including the main garden area with a terrace, a maid’s bedroom and bathroom, a universal room and the home office, which lives next to a convenient kitchen and dining room.
