Neoclassical Living Rooms are all about elegance and sophistication, but what are some of the key elements that bring this look together successfully? In this collection of 51 stunning neoclassical living rooms, we’ll guide you through the design details that will help you create your own. From highly decorative boiserie and deep crown molding to fabulous furniture and attractive lighting, we’ll see how these interiors are layered into a look of luxury. We’ll also study the architectural features that take neoclassical living rooms to the next level, including stunning windows, beautiful archways and grand doors, in addition to the exquisite accessories that finish the neoclassical style with flair.

Art and arcade. In this spacious and luxurious living room, great art has been framed within a spectacular arched alcove, which is flanked by delicate gold sconces and decorative boiserie. This arched art installation could be scaled down to fit smaller residences to a similarly glorious effect.

This arcade is a device to elegantly separate the living room from the kitchen in a wide open plan. The arched architecture inspires a set of curved living room furniture and rounded dining rooms.

Small-scale archways. In a smaller, more modern architectural realm, internal archways can be introduced by cutting the corner of a square doorway or introducing surface elements like this inverted arch modern fireplace.

Crystal reflections. A crystal chandelier introduces a chic and classic glow. This one casts its light on the dark interludes of two luxurious black marble coffee tables.

Dark and bold. The delicacy of boiserie is most often displayed under a good white finish, but dark decoration also suits a neoclassical design. This living room combines both color palettes with a high-contrast archway and adjoining room.

Modern fusions. While boiserie and crown molding present a classic backdrop, furniture can strike a very contemporary note, like this trendy fluted coffee table and fun faux bench.

A round tufted sofa design is a match made in heaven for the neoclassical style, as are the curly arcs of an aesthetically wired lighting installation.

Marble magnetism. In this elegant residence, boiserie is exchanged for a more linear panel molding design. The simpler wall treatment makes a quiet companion for a wide white marble slab, which is complemented by a matching marble coffee table and side table.

Archway colonnade. The archways in this design are a run of windows that make up an intelligent colonnade. An inverted arc pendant light extends the aesthetic.

Complicated inspiration. The intricate scrollwork in this deep crown molding design inspires a circular chandelier, an arched floor lamp, complementary relief art and a unique rug.

On the contrary, the form theme in this home shows a sharp and linear edge, proving that there is not only one side of the coin.

Modern and magnificent. This modern living room chandelier hangs from a stunningly beautiful ceiling rose, surrounded by an additional outer ring of enchanting molding.

Strike a great note. While all the classic decorative details are prevalent in this interior, there is definitely a bolder personality burning through. A focal piece of edgy artwork draws the eye with a neon punch, accented by a bold maroon sofa and joined by two extraordinary pendant lights.

Another quirky piece of art steals the spotlight here, next to a stunning traditional fireplace.

Calming symmetry. Two rounded chairs face two arched windows and a pair of matching floor lamps in this urban apartment. Two more arches on the adjacent wall draw their own symmetrical conclusion.

Another triumph of symmetry, this living room is perfectly balanced with facing white armchairs, a centrally placed coffee table, a sofa, and living room art that is equally flanked by modern sconces.

Fuchsia infusions make a wonderful color palette alongside classic artwork and traditional boiserie.

Battle of the focal points. In neoclassical decor, you don’t have to settle for just one statement. Consider building a fabulous TV wall with chic white marble and backlit shelves, go all out on boiserie and crown the whole show with a stunning chandelier.

Comfortable curves. With a soft and serene approach, this living space is a calming space to hang out. A rounded sofa, curved lounge chair and circular coffee tables complete the elegant silhouette of a wide archway by the window.

Fluted and fantastic. Hitting the modern texture trend of the interiors, this round coffee table and upholstered bench introduce fluted lines into a fantastic setting of eye-catching boiserie and modern wall lights.

Reflective and calm. Tiled floors do a great job of reflecting the light and providing a high-class shine. That said, an additional large area rug will make the space feel comfortably cohesive and calm.

In a double-height living room, make large lighting fixtures and hang them in multiples of different lengths. Boiserie panels should extend from floor to ceiling to draw the eye all the way up in one uninterrupted sweep.

A brown leather sofa offers an earthy base in a light and decorated scene.

Relaxed furniture and handwoven rugs create a delightful counterbalance to more formal detailing.

Bold black and white contrast and modern artwork infuse a quirky character.

Blue based. With a perimeter of pure white wainscoting, a dark blue sofa lays a color-rich base that exudes effortless sophistication. Color-matched artwork expands on the hue.

This lighter blue sofa, scattered pillows, side table and contrasting orange artwork mark a cheerful conversational environment that goes beyond the perimeter of a round rug.

A small-scale version of a round carpet living room layout.

In the mood. All the colors and textures of this living room design are brought together in one piece of living room art that looks distinctly like a mood board.

Just because you have a sophisticated interior doesn’t mean you can’t have a little fun. This living room ensemble uses the bird-themed Moooi Perch Floor Light to rock its refined look.

A collection of favorite things. For those with eclectic tastes, a white boiserie background makes an ideal blank canvas for a wildly contrasting assortment of living room furniture and accessories.

When mounting a TV, effectively navigate a panel molded wall with a floating TV mount, even if it is only color-matched to the wall.

Red, white, blue and royal, this place looks fit for a king and queen.

Both classic and contemporary, the arc trend can be introduced in many forms.

In this room, the most prominent arches come in the form of a modern chandelier with a colorful finish.

Release conventions. One person’s serenity is another person’s prison, so burst with pieces that make you happy.

Sit back and observe. With so much spectacular beauty within the very walls, just lie back and take it from low living room furniture.

An abundance of burgundy and teal accents create a decadent palette.

The minimalist mood. With so many decorative details, is much more needed?

Expect the unexpected. Take decorative wall molding to another level with bright colors, and use quirky artwork to guide the eye to wander again.

Time for wine. Use those high ceilings for backlit towers of tempting wine storage, like in this elegant living room, which gets an intimate social aesthetic on a round rug.

Art-like installations. A sturdy accent sofa, an unusual chandelier, an abstract rug and a single sculptural dining chair all placed close to each other build an art gallery-like appeal.

Curiously color-blocked. Covering curiously chosen sections of the wall, this color-blocked paint effect keeps the eye wandering and the mind wandering.

to ignite Cutting from one side of the living room to the other, a wide, linear modern fireplace blazes a bright image of luxurious comfort.

Fresh and fluffy. Feathers and faux fur cheerfully soften a formal living room scheme.

A wonderful character. Building on an exemplary backdrop of boiserie and arched doors, this layered living room design incorporates unique furniture and textured wall coverings to create a character of its own.

Give it some gold. Bright gold accents warm up a white scheme, adding luxury to the calm.

Swags and tufts. If you want to build full opulence, say it with curtain shoes and tufted upholstery.

Understated elegance. Just a few beautiful pieces can say a lot.

Dripping with style. Living room pendants hang like jewelry from the ceiling of this elegant living space, where a unique tufted sofa curves to greet them like a shy smile. Marble coffee tables nestle in front under a contemporary fluted texture.

Color riot. Too much formality is not good for creative souls. Creative homeowners will find joy and greater comfort in a riot of colorful home accessories, wall art, an eye-catching accent chair or a casually curved sofa.

Stucco wall coverings make textured backgrounds that provide many decorative styles. Their subtle inclusion provides a canvas that complements a lot of accompanying materials, colors and furniture design, without any collision or overpowering. These four inspiring home designs show how to use concrete stucco in modern settings for the family, young professionals and the advanced homeowner. Home design number one features a water-molded concrete living room with a cohesive play area for the little ones. Design two is where industrial concrete meets cool Scandi style. Home three dips into the realm of color, and design number four features a smooth capitulation of microcement in a refined, spacious dwelling.

This high home is located in Xiaogang, Anhui Province, China. As you approach the apartment on the third floor of the building, a prominent red door appears. On the other hand, an industrial-style open plan space is enclosed in water-molded concrete that makes a lacquered background for floating life zones.

A short, concrete room divider privately screens the front door of the directly adjoining lounge area. An entrance bench is hidden behind it, while a small buffet adorns the front face.

Behind the sofa, a set of smooth black wooden grain doors slides closed to neatly cover a children’s play area when not in use.

A small side table brings a moment of warm natural wood tone to the cool concrete decor that coordinates with a wooden sofa frame and matching coffee table.

Mature indoor plants and tiny cacti dot greenery around the moody gray interior.

With the sliding doors pulled back, the combined lounge space and playground form one large, connected family room.

A split-level floor defines the main living room of the children’s playroom. Concrete stucco runs around the perimeter of the children’s space to form one cohesive decoration with the main living room.

Monochrome children’s furniture and decorative accessories form a play area that does not touch the eye too much.

At the opposite end of the living room is a modern dining room. Ligna Wegner-style Wishbone Chairs are paired with a gray stone-tipped dining table.

A built-in bookshelf provides a decorative moment of warm wood tone between the living room and dining room.

Fluted glass doors separate the dining room from the neighboring kitchen.

The textured glass doors fully slide back to merge the kitchen and dining room into one fluid space.

White subway tiles build a clean backsplash on the concrete kitchen walls.

Black kitchen units give a stark contrast.

In the concrete bedroom, a wooden platform bed warms the look. An indoor plant adds tall greenery at one end of the bed, which balances the height of a tripod floor lamp on the opposite side.

A full-length mirror places a slice of natural light against the dark gray concrete wall of the dressing room.

Wood effect tiles create a contrasting comfortable atmosphere inside the bathroom. A small bathroom mirror allows you to enjoy a larger area of the tile in the compact space.

This Penthouse in Moscow uses a slightly smoother and lighter concrete stucco to form a lighter and airier feel interior.

The lighter background makes it a nice companion for Scandinavian-style accessories and furniture, like this elegant Scandinavian-style chair.

A unique shelf climbs the space between the living room and the entrance to define the two separate areas. Wooden wall paneling further differentiates the change in function.

The gray striped living room rug creates a soft island for a modern tufted sofa and round coffee table.

Two large dining room hangers drop bold black accents over the table that coordinate with two modern black dining chairs.

The opposite side of the dining room is lit by white and wooden Scandi-style dining chairs.

Floating bookshelves add a light embellishment to the textured concrete wall.

This 76 square meter home is located in Odessa, Ukraine. A small sofa adds a rich green accent to a quiet, warm gray microcement environment.

Indoor plant coordinates with the sofa color.

On the side of the TV wall, a small dining table is hidden next to an alcove of built-in shelves for decorative objects.

The galley kitchen has metal base units that reflect the light and shadows of the living room.

Inside the bedroom, a contrasting color scheme of deep shadow saturates the walls.

A copper-colored finish covers the walls of the bathroom and the side of the tub.

Floor plan.

Finally, our fourth home design is a high-end housing in smooth microcement. A plush sectional sofa makes a welcome landing in the living room, along with a coordinating lounge chair. A glass coffee table reflects light from huge living room windows.

The pale cream-padded furniture arrangement is warmly accented with a contrasting wicker chair.

The honey-toned wicker chair joins a natural wooden floor that floods the entire apartment.

In the formal dining room, a combination of wooden dining chairs and mint green equivalents builds a fresh look. The linear dining room chandelier straddles modern and classic aesthetics to form a lasting charm.

Powerful Interior Designs With Stone Feature Walls & Furniture

Powerful rock face walls and stone furniture create this exciting collection of inspiring home interiors. We have included a selection of home designs that explore different depths of stone texture to create fabulous feature walls. From shallow canals to magnificent mountain slopes, there is something here to impress every wish and desire. We also threw in a bunch of heroic pieces to impress the stone aesthetic without bringing it to the walls, like a unique stone kitchen island, and one-of-a-kind bathroom designs with stone sanitary ware. Many of these dwellings are built right into the natural rock face, which goes like vaulted ceilings over wide open, amazing dwellings.

Amazing in its relation to nature, this amazing home design seems to straddle modern indoor and natural exterior aesthetics. A high rock face wall dominates a large bedroom space, where a canopy of green swimming pools on a huge round skylight.

A round bed and a round bedroom rug reflect the circular skylight. Mud green blankets and a matching green bedroom chair join the thick and shady canopy of plants. Slender floor lamps jump high to highlight the stone bedroom feature wall.

A vanity area is located on one side of this unique bedroom design. A stone pedestal sink mixes into a curtain of climbing plants, as if it were part of a garden. An open shower design is smoothly cut into the textured rock.

One slender mirror cuts thinly along the wall, casting a soft light from its sides.

Our second stone home interior includes the warm red hue of the desert.

A flat ceiling falls between the red boulders.

The bedroom is set on a flat floor.

Modern linear bed design is in stark contrast to the rolling red rock face.

Modern lettering dramatically highlights the texture of the contoured walls.

Plants grow among the rocks.

With so many natural details in the room, the bed is simple in solid gray and white.

The textured rock face walls in our third featured home design are balanced with smooth white pictured equivalents. Soft gray sofas bring out the natural hue of the rock, threading it around the edges of the predominantly white decoration.

A continuation of the rock wall builds a dramatic backdrop for modern staircase design. Glass railings and open levers allow the strong feature to be admired from every corner in the home entrance. A double-sided fireplace completes the glass edges of the staircase.

In the main bedroom of this home, a rock-top wall makes an attention-grabbing statement.

A round rug works to soften the rough look of the rock bedroom design. A custom platform bed seems to float lightly over it.

The stone wall runs the entire length of the bedroom and into an open plan indoor bathroom. Here, a smooth stone bathtub adds a unique touch with palpable curves.

Red accents brighten up the gray rock statement wall and gray living room furniture.

The living room opens to a spacious kitchen and formal dining room.

Next, we travel to an inspiring apartment with a sloping hillside structure.

The back of the kitchen cuts straight into the rock face, while a smooth island design cuts cleanly in front. A long dining table matches the impressive scale of the kitchen island.

Playroom and bar nestle comfortably on the hillside.

Retractable glass doors and skylights drink every bit of the stunning panorama.

In this deep green accent home interior, the contrasting red rock wall gains additional strength due to the addition of LED perimeter lights.

Another rich red rock wall inspires a deep red decorative pattern of a bedroom. This time the atmospheric perimeter lights are also soaking under an open plan indoor bathroom.

This mountain home appears almost ecclesiastical with its spire-shaped ceiling. Stainless steel stove and extra kitchen stools slide through the interior like a stream of liquid mercury.

An exposed duct adds to the industrial look of the steel kitchen.

The stainless steel kitchen units and desks reflect natural light deep into the mountain.

Shadow angles get a magical look with LED overlights.

Sensational contoured rock denies the need for any kind of murder.

In this wonderful home interior, the hillside touches down in different places, like bolts of black lighting.

The black rock shares a chic bedroom from its bright en-suite bathroom.

TV and media are attached to one side of the rock, to serve the bedroom, while the opposite side is occupied by the bathroom.

This beautifully toned stone wall belongs to an enviable home workspace with a dreamy view.

Torn between two aesthetics, this unique neoclassical design features artistically crumpled woodwork panels that give way to a bold rock face.

While this home has a rock accent wall, it’s the fabulous stone kitchen island that steals the show. A strip of unique kitchen hanging lights adds to the extraordinary attraction.

A rock face reading room is the material of dreams and wild imaginations. A comfortable reading chair counteracts the cool effect of the solid stone.

Cognac brown puffs and a rich wood tone form a warming counterpoint to the black stone statement wall in this complex bedroom concept. Elegant pendant lights add a delicate distraction.
