Indonesian House: Light Playing with Stone and Concrete

As the future home of a designer couple, this project came into the hands of LINKS architects with some very specific homeowner requirements. The couple wanted to integrate their daily work environment as a fundamental piece of the puzzle, where it merges with the regular routine at home. Because of this desire for hard work and home life, the 375-square-foot house was built on two main functions. The essential home office is located downstairs on the first half-basement floor, with a welcoming residential area located on the upper level. It is here that a tall window envelops a toned double-height room, and an impressive windscreen brings an amazing sunlight pattern.

The modern exterior of this project uses a pattern of wind blocks that perform a decorative function both inside and out. The blocks were implemented to allow a generous influx of lifting sunlight to enter the double high living space, where the playful penetration causes an aesthetic play of light.

Planters face the home exterior on two levels, which work to blend the contemporary structure with its surrounding green landscape, thus mitigating its presence on the ground.

Large black gates reveal a shady glimpse of the terraced entrance inside. Elevated planters and outdoor lighting create a magical atmosphere to welcome the owners home, and create a lasting first impression on guests.

At the back of the house, the classic gable of a roof is brightly highlighted by a strip of exterior light around its edge. Massive windows break the side of the building, exposing happy sky views to those living inside.

A tall window wraps around the sloping roof above the double-height living room, exposing the space to clear skyscrapers. The room is further brightened with light decorative pieces in the form of a soft cream carpet from a living room and a modern sofa. Modern black wheelchairs add a dark score to the layout.

The wall of decorative windbreaks provides the living room with a unique focus. The wall is raised to allow access to the concrete roof of the car park, where a dry garden is planted.

The living area is a bit proud of the kitchen dining room, where a small lighted staircase gives access. The gabled roof encompasses the entire living space, making it possible to reach the ultimate ceiling height thanks to the slope of the slope.

The kitchen appears from behind flat fronts, with no cabinet door handles.

A mezzanine platform is built over the kitchen to better utilize the vast ceiling height in this area.

Access ladders climb up and over the hidden kitchen project. A sun-heated attic net makes a tempting place for rest and relaxation under a wide roof window.

The homeowner demanded that the project put a firm focus on accessibility to welcome their elderly parents who have walking challenges. Aesthetically pleasing accessible ramps were built to connect the floors instead of large stairs. The mid-level ramp optimizes and maximizes the available area in the house.

The semi-private living space is located in front of the house, with more secluded bedrooms to the rear.

The two living volumes are separated by a dry garden, which gives additional ventilation and natural light.

A peaceful atmosphere grows out of the inner garden, which feeds on a resting pause in the separation between the walls of the two masses.

The outdoor home entrance evokes the same feeling of rest with abundant green planting and bright light. Despite its cool raw concrete exterior, the home has a warm and attractive presentation. This forecourt is also the main garden for the home, although the rooftop gardens offer sweeter views and the courtyards surrounded between living volumes give more privacy.

The master bathroom is a darkly decorated space with a black bathtub. A glass wall toilet is installed next to the shower cabin in a smooth, sharp layout.

The bathroom as a whole is a glass-walled room that allows natural light to be borrowed from the bedroom windows.

A unique bathroom basin looks through the glass wall into the bedroom and the views beyond the outside windows. A capped faucet descends onto the shallow black sink. The dark decorative plan continues through the bedroom to achieve one coherent look.

A basement floor plan, including the main garden area with a terrace, a maid’s bedroom and bathroom, a universal room and the home office, which lives next to a convenient kitchen and dining room.

First floor plan with main open living room, dining room and kitchen layout. We also see a nursery and a guest room on the opposite side of the dry garden here, as well as a pantry and a small bathroom.

Second floor plan with the master bedroom and glass wall bathroom.

A mezzanine plan with an attic network, plus another roof garden located to the rear of the house.

How do you embody interesting color accents in interiors without it becoming distractingly dazzling? Well, these three modern home interiors set the tone right with a bunch of muted color shades that add uplifting accents without causing a headache. We first look at a Russian contest entry that has a color-coded home layout to define each living block. Our second prominent interior is a home suitable for a creative mind, with a well-equipped music area and a gallery of KAW statues taking over the living room. Lastly, we look at a bold home project that delves into a geometric pattern while pushing back shades into the muted spectrum.

At 98 square meters, this home design was created in St. Petersburg, Russia, for the FUTURIST competition for young designers. In the living room, a black step shelf darkly contrasts with a soothing muted blue accent wall.

A light living room rug makes a tonal connection with the cream sofa. A range of accent cushions cheerfully access the underlying upholstery.

The apartment layout is divided into 3 sections, the community family, the parent block and a child block. Different colored accents define each section of the home to playfully mark the separation.

The sense of interior space is increased by an emphasis on the ceiling height. The seam between the walls and ceiling is blurred by a smooth cornice. Arched doorways and curved partition walls complete the curve of the crown.

Dining chairs are colored with a water nile finish to gently complement the slightly darker wall shade. Above the round dining table, a white dining room lamp connects with the paler elements in the open living space.

Wheat-colored walls set a subtle basic color for the parent bedroom, where a buttery-yellow side table brightens the space next to a pale apricot upholstered platform bed.

A black lamp contrasts sharply against the brighter nightstand.

The wardrobe lies beyond an elegant archway.

A reddish pink finish transforms a simple modern children’s bed design into a colorful focus.

Natural wood elements are woven into earthy essence.

A retro-inspired phone brings the reddish pink accent to the children’s desk.

Pink stars create a beautiful pattern across the child’s bathroom floor. A unique bathroom sink honors the fashionable bow trend, mounted on top of an equally curved yellow vanity unit.

Yellow tiles mark the splash zone around the bathtub and shower.

The powder room is a cubist-inspired space with a beautiful red and yellow palette.

The main bedroom has a completely different atmosphere with a mainly white and gray decorative scheme.

A series of three decorative vanity mirrors and a floating unit make up a contemporary vanity area.

Home layout showing the distribution of color coded rooms.

This creative home design talks about artistic appreciation. Great CAUSE a statue stands on the end of a modern sectional sofa, where it puts the ottoman out of use. The project object gives the room an immediate character and an unusually incredible factor.

The duck-blue sofa is accented by deeper blue and tan cushions. Concrete gray walls create a cool contrast to warm natural wood furniture and accent panels.

A second KAWS character hangs on the TV and modern wooden media.

A soothing shade of blue paints the kitchen cabinets that wrap around the hallway of the home to frame a glass wall bathroom project.

Black and white floor tiles form a striking first impression.

The elevated lounge area offers storage space downstairs. An abstract wine storage is mounted just above the dining room table for easy dining access.

A free wall was transformed into a music area, with a piano and several guitars.

Green refrigerator SMEG makes a colorful addition to the blue and wooden kitchen design.

The temporary piano room meets a bank of corridor storage facilities.

In the glass wall room, a unique pedestal sink features Campbell’s tomato soup, which inspired Andy Warhol’s artwork.

This muted red and blue home interior is shaped with circular and running motifs that give the project a fashionable edge. Two round coffee tables also carry the fashionable fluted finish that runs through most home projects of the moment.

A gray TV stand cools a red focus wall in the living room, where the fluttering texture is extended in a large format.

Geometric tiles form the home entrance, under an elegant competition form.

Zebra presses communicate the homeowners wild side.

The geometric entrance tiles flood the adjacent kitchen food, creating a hard, worn surface that is easy to clean. A linear chandelier strikes a bronze accent over the dining island.

The muted red and blue color palette continues into the master bedroom, covering the walls and closets. Beige upholstered bed adds a moment of light.

The bedroom rug shows a cool graphic print that complements a piece of modern wall art.

A beautiful mural adds a playful touch to the children’s room.

A race theme adorns the child’s wardrobes.

51 Piano Room Ideas With Tips And Inspiration

From serious musicians to those who casually tickle the ivory, everyone can enjoy the alluring elegance of a piano room. Piano not only makes beautiful music but creates a wonderful spectacle in a home that triggers a special luxurious look and cultural air. This collection of 51 piano ideas fills a glorious inspiration to cover almost every taste and interior artwork. We’ve collected a bunch of modern piano rooms and some with a traditional touch, modern and eclectic mid-century music venues, rustic and boho-style rooms, and serene minimalist music venues that are everywhere focused on the melody.

Vertical and upper class. This neoclassical design presents a delicate background for a vertical piano. A wide section of boiserie panels elegantly frames the instrument. Two modern wall lights add a balance of theatrical lighting.

Piano and color pop. A brightly colored accent chair makes for a fun counterattack against the formality of a piano. It also gives a grateful listener a place to stay comfortably. See more of this Taiwan apartment with simple layout and hard palette here.

This time, a designed chair maintains the elegant black and curved aesthetic of its neighboring piano.

Let the piano set the tone. This eye-catching fire brigade red piano sets the accent color for a luxurious living space, inspiring a scattering of equally bright scattering cushions along with an adjoining sofa.

Under arches. Is there any arrangement more perfect for a piano room than arch architecture? These arched windows and a matching arched wall mirror complete the curved silhouette of the piano with style and grace.

Mid-century modern music venue. Mutated colors and mid-century modern style mold a melodic setting.

Camouflaged creativity. This white upright piano blends seamlessly into an all-white interior design without fanfare. See more inspiration for modern interiors with the minimalist white decor here.

Honey, I’m home. Put the love of your life right into the entrance to your main living space. It will be the first thing you will see when you get home, and the first impression you will make on your guests.

Balance black pianos with other large dark furniture. Dark sofa color is the obvious choice in living space. Black light finishes and darkly framed bookcases also make good counterweight contributions.

Wonderful music and a window seat. Accumulate a sort of cushions and blankets to create a comfortable stay for musical appreciation.

Work hard Play hard. After a day in the office, it’s time to light up your life with good music and an inspiring king of light.

Industrial inspiration. Concrete walls and cave spaces create enough acoustics.

It’s all about the arts. Musical art meets wall art in this sober interior design. Vertical pianos are best located against an interior wall and due to direct sunlight, so this landscape also serves as an exterior view that is lacking.

Make the most of small wall spaces by double banking your musical instruments. A fresh accent color will elevate the look.

Tear off the overcoat and better use that clumsy under stair space.

Bohemian rhapsody. Indoor plants, jute rugs and rattan baskets evoke a relaxed boho atmosphere.

For the minimalist musician. This murmured keyboard looks like a floating console unit with a fashionable wooden lath finish.

Never overstated. This small upright and coordinating piano stool was thrown with a cheerful yellow paint that makes them the unparalleled focus of the room.

Family time and tunes. This unique living space combines family dining, a creative children’s play area and an attractive music area into one open air space. An indoor swing provides a place to rest and balance to the tune.

Parallel poetry. This symmetrical space creates a dramatic track to the keys. Prominent partitions effectively protect the upright piano from direct sunlight from two side windows, while the rest of the room remains bright and welcoming.

Another handling of the boho theme, this decorative moment has a wall baskets super modern keyboard.

Imagine … Inspirational entrance by John Lennon. This is not the piano on which John Lennon composed “Imagine”, but it has some similar characteristics. The real one was sold for $ 2.1 million via an online auction at the Hard Rock Cafe in London to the late British pop star George Michael. It is still owned by his estate.

Piano-loving plants. Some people believe that indoor plants grow better when you play classical music to them. This is presumably due to the pleasant vibrations created by the sound waves, which then cause movement in plant cells and stimulate more nutrient production. This one certainly seems to be thriving!

Creative and comfortable. Fake fur, a cheerful rug and some plant friends help a lot that a simple music area seems loved and vibrant.

Gold accents and gallery. If you’re looking to add serious luxury to your music hobby room, consider a gallery wall of grumpy black and white photographic prints and a rich accompaniment of gold-accented furniture.

Put together a lullaby. Bedrooms don’t just sleep; bedroom workshops are now common, so why not a songwriting station?

Elegant and streamlined. This linear black background elegantly combines the piano and TV corner into one smart, shady wall feature that allows the lighter furniture in the foreground to shine brightly.

Peaceful color palettes and panel molding. This narrow living space is extensively joined by a corridor piano area under one peaceful color palette. Chic panel molding gives the music wall a clear, classical aesthetic.

The traditional touch. Dark wood panels complement this piano and give the room a comfortable traditional feel.

Built-in benches and bookshelves. Concrete steps bleed into a custom concrete bench in this ceiling hobby space. Take a book from the stacks and go to the singing song.

This writer’s home brings the home library theme a little further … Well, much more. Oh, the hours we could spend in that room.

In this home, the music room and combined home library are transformed into an extensive staircase project with book storage in the elevators.

Candlelight concerts. Create an atmospheric glow with a collection of candles. Hey, it worked for Liberace.

Pianos and columns, plus an untouched white color scheme. Clever, simple and amazing.

Highs and lows. While being in the light is beautiful, you don’t want to be blinded by low hanging lights. This row of pendants makes an undulating formation from the sofa to the piano, hung by a set of decorative ceiling roses. The yellow piano shines all by itself.

Placed in a corner. Built-in bookshelves can be used to frame a deep alcove and make a decorative environment for a vertical piano.

Big and gray. A bright black piano looks at home in a moody charcoal gray and black room decor. Portrait painting and velvet-trimmed window dressings optional.

Music shares an opinion, and this piano shares the room.

Give an old instrument new life in a modern rustic setting.

Monochrome music room. Black and white piano keys inspire a black and white decorative scheme in this modern concept.

Play the classics in a classically decorated oak tree and warm lamplight.

Lively and focused. This amazing space has distant views that evoke emotion and allow the mind to drift and dream.

Creative yard. This heavenly courtyard keeps the piano out of direct sunlight, which will tear down a piano and will also not be useful in the end.

If you insist on a lot of windows though, this seamless wide setting option is sensational. Dense growth of trees should give abundant shade, but be sure to protect your piano with a heavy cover when the sunlight is strongest.

Your personal concert hall. Keep floors, set up seats and let the audience in.

  • 46 |
  • Display: Bjarke Ingels Group and Uribe & Schwarzkopf

Layered light show. A spectacular light installation sets the stage for stardom.

Open plan. Set up a creative core within your home that can be enjoyed from every corner.

  • 48 |
  • Designer: OgataYoshiki + SALT + IkawaAtsushi + WataseIkuma

Picturesque sound waves. This amazing wooden roof features sound waves around the perimeter of the room, and actively handles acoustics.

A grand piano and a vertical garden form a naturally inspiring space for creativity.

Cut curves. Black piano and rounded furniture cut contrasting curves against a pure white background.

A true reflection of talent. High bright floors will double the effect of a centrally placed grand and talented pianist.

A sense of serenity gently flows through these two modern Japanese interiors, one large and luxurious, one small and neatly shaped. A soft palette of cream, ivory, beige and light wood tone creates a calm cohesion. Isolated aspects of color shake the building one, in the form of an inviting reddish pink sofa, coral accented wall art and a projection of a ground-floor bathroom. Clusters of vivid greenery inspire beautiful sights around the luxurious cushion, evoking zen energy. Wooden clad walls and smoothly hidden storage volumes line the walls of the second, narrow property, where a wall of textured tile adds a shining focus.

This contemporary urban home is shaped by a beautiful Japanese essence that encourages peace and tranquility. The elegant interior has the spatial qualities of the Japanese style, creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere. Plenty of indoor plants ensure an invigorating link between daily home life and the effects of nature.

A soft red-pink sofa creates a gentle contrast with the green elements around the perimeter of the living room. A large living room rug embraces the width of the room to a second sofa in neutral cream upholstery. A modern round coffee table elegantly occupies the space between.

An open fireplace heats the great hall. Text design creates a pale lace pattern through the chimney and side walls. Decorative vases pile up on the dark fireplace.

An imperial bonsai tree grows inside an inner courtyard, which is accessed through traditional Japanese Shōji display doors. A second set of paper doors is located against the side of the inner garden, allowing sunlight to gently filter through.

More indoor plant beds are flooded on either side by a modern staircase project that has cantilevered wooden steps and clear glass railings.

An informal reading area was formed right next to the doors leading into the courtyard. When the Shōji screen doors are pulled back, the simple reading area acquires a spectacular scenery.

A paper bedroom lamp hangs a delicate white eye socket against an all-wood-lined background. Wooden clad walls extend under the wooden ceiling treatment, and mature indoor plants complete the natural tone. A thick bedroom rug is developed next to a Chabudai bedroom table.

A set of two floor chairs Zaisu furniture the opposite side of the table.

Floating bookshelves serve as bedside tables.

The comfortable one presents / displays a chimney treatment similar to the main room. The same dotted wall treatment covers the mantelpiece, but this time with silver of terracotta coloring each side.

Table Chabudai is located with a large picture window with views of abundant greenery.

A delightful wall art brings a coral accent.

Zabuton cushions are collected on each side of the table.

An ultra-modern computer chair furnishes the home office, where lighted wall shelves brighten up a dark, moody workspace.

A fresh white sofa and a small side table make up a comfortable reading corner by the window.

Red, yellow and blue chips dance across the terrace bathroom floors and walls, creating a joyful backdrop for a black wall-hung toilet and a matching pleasing plate.

There is a party on the terrace. A long L-shaped couch gives way to company, and an outdoor bar serves drinks long after closing.

The red pink accent used in the home translates into four modern pink stools around the outside bar.

A fun pink vase adds a matching color to the outdoor coffee table.

Located in Novosibirsk, Russia, this long and narrow home interior is warmly surrounded by smooth wooden elements, from wooden wall cladding to imposing, without handles, wooden cabinet fronts.

A bonsai tree adds a majestic silhouette against the simple beige and wood tone room palette.

Shallow wooden cupboards are mounted above the couch, with six of the cabinet doors dedicated to decorative Koi fish design.

Narrow shelf pillars are built into small corners around the room, taking advantage of every part of available storage space.

Rich, natural wood floors strip amazing wood grain along the length of the room, guiding the eye from the living room to the kitchen.

A living edge Chabudai table is pushed to one side of the room to save valuable floor space. A pair of simple beige puffs fold down.

A textured tile wall glitters in the sunshine behind the table, creating a beautiful focus for the living room.

The tile wall is also a practical wipe clean solution for the dining room.

The kitchen material palette blends subtly with the rest of the living room, achieving easy flow.

Shallow wall cabinets match up to the kitchen back splash. Deeply framed base units evoke a Shōji door effect.

The wall units are opened by a unique closing method that pulls up to the ceiling line.

A rusty entrance bench stands against a wall of mirrors that reflects natural light from the living room and bedroom.

A large wall light pours light on one side of the cushions.

A global lamp illuminates the opposite side of the bed.

Orange is not a subtle color. Orange brings warmth and vibrancy to the most colorless interior spaces and is often best used in moderation. That said, the brave and daring will reap a reward for creating larger color saturated volumes when balanced by softer surroundings. Solid orange accents add fun vibes to these three eye-catching home projects, from unique color-blocked kitchens and hallway storage rooms to a welcoming bright orange entrance and two-tone orange bedroom decor schemes. We will also find project inspiration for a colorful and creative children’s room, an orange accent music room and an elegant home workshop with an abstract shelf wall.

A whole volume of orange kitchen cabinets and color-blocked surroundings create a color-saturated feature within our first home. A creamy and blue accent rug gives a slight contrast in the adjacent dining area.

A hand-painted vase provides a colorful centerpiece under a simple silver dining lamp. The deep window sill has been reimagined as a comfortable window seat with new cushions.

A small lounge area ends from the compact living space. An interior plant makes a text addition next to a simple gray modern sofa. A small pot cactus is displayed higher on a green color-blocked corner shelf.

The orange kitchen is part of an isolated cubic module within the floor plan.

A wooden step stool allows the youngest households to help. The orange kitchen is a bright and attractive sight that attracts attention and ignites young imaginations.

Stylish without handles and cabinets hide piles of storage inside the orange “cube”.

When it rests, the orange cube is a solid compound volume.

A cracked floor treatment creates visual zoning between the main living space and the corridors to the children’s home entrance, bathroom and bedroom.

A couple of discreet concrete planters provide homes with some greenery in the orange kitchen design.

The parent bedroom is located right next to the kitchen and dining rooms. The bedroom provides extra play space for the little ones before going to bed.

A blue bedroom decorative scheme contrasts with the warm orange kitchen area, but ties in with the blue dining room rug.

The side of the orange module is an extension of the kitchen itself, with added food storage units and a smoothly integrated refrigerator-freezer.

More storage space is shifted to the opposite side of the kitchen cube.

In the blue bedroom that serves as the pattern, a unique hairy blanket looks alive. A modern wall light illuminates one incompatible bedside table, while a coordinating eye socket illuminates the other. See more inspiration for bedroom hanging lights here.

A geometric pattern makes a three-dimensional effect across the bedboard.

The bed serves as a trampoline for the kids when mom and dad aren’t watching.

In the children’s room, a high sleeper gives more room for fun. A bear-themed round rug brings a friendly face to the children’s play area, while a folding foam mat also serves as a puff.

A combination of bold colors makes a child-friendly design.

Our second orange infusion home design is a more sophisticated space with linear modern furniture and black accent pieces.

The studio apartment has a glass wall corner that lets in unobstructed natural light from the living room window. Pure white bedding is mixed with curly white walls so that the sleeping area almost disappears from plain sight.

In contrast, a solid, bright orange entrance loudly demands attention.

Opposite the living area, one walled kitchen extends a bright orange accent that fills the living room with uplifting energy. A black kitchen island and matching black bar stools give an extreme contradiction against the burst of vibrant color.

Hanging plants overflow a sublit kitchen shelf that drizzles a bright light over a luxurious white marble back splash and coordinating roof.

A black framed mirror breaks the extension of orange in the short corridor that leads to the home front door.

A small bedside table is built into the side of the sleeping book to place a glass of water and store some good books and night light.

In the bathroom the orange accent color moves to the ceiling.

A floor-to-ceiling mirror reflects the orange accents from behind a modern pedestal sink.

Our final design features an irresistible orange hanging chair that will surely be the most beloved place in the home.

Linear dining room pendant lights are grouped over the table, creating a cool square layout. Orange wall art and matching seat cushions form a colorful coordinated ensemble.

Square modern wall lamps illuminate the balcony, where orange outdoor chairs continue the fun, colorful atmosphere.

Sliding glass doors create a sense of constant connection and light.

The glass doors lead to a well-equipped music room. Orange wall fixtures heat up a gray and white decorative pattern.

In the bedroom, a slightly softened orange hue dresses the upholstered bed and paints a statement wall.

Indoor plants grow contrasting greenery.

A pure white puff joins a black console unit, where orange art steals the spotlight.

The final bedroom has a home workspace with a creative abstract shelf.

A black and white chevron rug plays a contrast with a softened orange sheet.

Fresh white walls allow the bolder accents in the room space to breathe.

Free-flowing Family Home Design With Floor Plan

.

A free-flowing arrangement creates a connected family feeling in this 112-square-meter project in the south of Moscow, Russia. Designed by Julia Khabarova, for a young couple with a child, the home was created to include a self-contained master block that avoids including cul-de-sacs around the main residences. A central “cube” forces new scenes of movement around the dwelling in response to an immovable lifter. The material palette of lath oak lacquer, suede upholstery, cool concrete and reflective metals creates a grounded aesthetic, alongside tonal shades of gray and warm dark accents. The full floor plan is included at the end of the tour.

Gray living room decoration is warmed by wooden clad characteristic walls formed by layers of latte texture. The living area is lined with heavy cloths that create a soft background for an L-shaped sectional sofa layout.

The customers requested the insertion of a bio fireplace in the living room. The flames blink openly across a fireplace that juts out to the adjoining kitchen dining room.

A table for four is attached to a central kitchen island. The table can also be extended to accommodate additional dinner guests, serving up to a feast of six.

The free plan living space also includes the corridor area. Here, a generous storage system lines up the walls, flowing to the laundry room. Wooden panels and slats of various widths form floor-to-ceiling handles on the corridor cupboards. This aesthetic is repeated to create interest also through the TV wall in the living room, which creates a coherent look with the open concept.

The modern fireplace is reflected in full-length mirrors that are embedded in the opposite wall of the walkway.

A floating bookshelf is formed into the back of the wall mounted TV cabinet.

The homeowners chose to deepen the kitchen island by 750 millimeters, to allow them to comfortably cook and prepare on both sides of the desk.

An oak milky column contains integrated devices.

At the end of the kitchen island, a floating sink section allows direct access from three sides. Bilateral pull-out sections offer practical large drawers that are not too heavy or too deep.

The decorative scheme uses a terrestrial material palette of oak lacquer, molledo, concrete and metal, along with shades of gray and warm shade.

A central “cube” was formed to house a lifter in the apartment. Decorative blue-gray plaster and a focused light strip show the volume that contains the guest bathroom.

The central cube creates diversity in space, and causes different scenes of movement.

The laundry room is revealed behind a sliding door, which can be left open without causing obstruction. When it recedes, an empty main wall adds color to the hallway.

The door to the guest room is hidden by the dark plasterwork of the “cube”.

The private master bedroom series sees a repetition of the layered, wide wall panel treatment. The melancholy accent returns in the form of a modern upholstered bed.

A swing arm lamp produces a focused green light over the cushions. An elegant bedroom chair offers another comfortable reading point in the corner of the room.

Blue artwork brightens the bedroom palette.

Gray bedroom carpet brings a pleasant factor to the oak laminate flooring.

Gray bedroom curtains copy the luxurious sheets in the living room.

A glass vase filled with stems adds greenery next to the bed.

Mini-bedroom pendant lights are paired at various heights above the bedside table, which compliments its layered silhouette.

A recessed LED strip cuts through the focus wall of the bedroom, highlighting the artwork and a clean white line console unit.

The bathroom is accessible through the cloakroom, where smooth oak lacquered cupboards cover the walls.

Black fixtures dot the guest bathroom, where blue-gray plaster contrasts with a white wet belt and floor tiles. The niched floor-to-ceiling mirrors are the same inclusions that reflect the modern fireplace in the living room. The mirrors help build an open, airy and lighter feel within the compact area.

Built-in shelves thread an element of textured wood grain through the toilet concealed wall.

A tin room part marks the entrance to the shower.

The pedestal sink is positioned up against the wide shower wall, where its black faucet is lost against the dark plaster background. A slender shelf cuts through the sink, extending sideways to hold toiletries and a decorative vase. Perspective stool injects a translucent accent into the shower.

Atmospheric light extends the warming uber accent color throughout the shower during the night, creating a relaxing atmosphere to relax at the end of a long and tiring day.

The floor plan illustrates the flow of family life around the apartment and the peaceful separation between the private master suite and the children’s bedroom on the other side of the arrangement. The laundry room provides an extra sound buffer for the youngest household.

A stupid sense of style runs through the two individualistic home projects we are touring here. Our first curious home trip takes place in a careful restoration of a large 5-bedroom town hall that features beautifully restored woodwork, custom details and about 8,000 square feet of light-filled interiors. Colorful artwork and eclectic furniture collection form living spaces that draw the eye and excite the mind. The second home design we visit is an attic located in the historic Gilsey House building in Manhattan’s NoMad neighborhood. Industrial features make its history worse, while bold pieces of art, colorful accents and a tailored staircase project transform the attic into a wonderfully modern and uplifting home.

Led by award-winning architect Jeffery of Poverty & Company, this 20-width single-family townhouse renovation includes five bedrooms, six bathrooms and immaculately rejuvenated living spaces. Colorful wall art enlivens the light-flooded hall. Bright scattering cushions and throws color the sofas, while a large area rug adds texture to the floor.

The glorious wooden staircase was restored, bringing rich warmth to every floor of the town hall. In the dining room, a multicolored rug adds a bright contemporary touch with the classic woodwork. A modern dining room chandelier fills the fresh white ceiling space.

The town hall boasts an interior of about 8,000 square feet. A huge kitchen is blessed with an impressive central island that also serves as a casual dining / breakfast.

Industrial style kitchen bar stools line up under the pure white corian counter. Five elegant hanging lights meander over the length of the island.

Gray and white framed kitchen cabinets build a custom look. Two side-by-side 6-burn wolves and a rural sink put spotlights in the layout. One small doorway leads to an oversized dining room, while French doors lead to an intimate balcony with a grill and outdoor dining area that overlooks 5th Avenue.

The entrance features more delicate woodwork and an original dark-wood glass panel, under impressive 12-foot-high ceilings.

An eclectic furniture collection builds a complex look.

A chestnut brown tufted leather sofa complements a rich wooden coffered ceiling in the comfortable library / apartment.

In the corner, a librarian ladder climbs up the books. An elegant chair and side table form a comfortable reading corner.

In the back lounge, clever monkey figurines surpass a grape bar that sprang from an old hotel.

The bar was restored and equipped with new appliances, electrical appliances and plumbing.

The upper floor of the five-story town hall contains three of the bedrooms, two bathrooms, a laundry room and a “hidden” office.

A production office is located on the garden level of the home. Stylized desks, exposed masonry and industrial-style lighting give this space its own distinctive character of the house.

The building also has its own ten-seat home theater.

String lights add a magical sparkle to the fully furnished roof deck.

A dining room is partially shaded under a wooden pergola, while the outdoor sofa and chairs sunbathe.

Jacuzzi bubbles in a rooftop hideout.

A second bedroom contains a strange zoo of ceramic animal heads across the TV wall.

A custom entry closet offers plenty of clothing and accessories to store.

2036 Fifth Avenue is located just one block from 125th Street, a bustling boulevard lined with restaurants and shops.

We are traveling next to an apartment located in the historic Gilsey House building in Manhattan’s NoMad neighborhood.

During this renovation, all existing walls were removed to highlight the historic windows, original molding and steel structure. Now natural sunlight hits clean white walls and vibrant artwork every time.

Light gray kitchen gives a soft contrast against the white background.

Source Le Verdier by Henry Le Monnier, 1931, makes a striking addition over the stove and a marvelous marble back splash.

A small shelf is integrated into the dramatic marble slab.

The exposed steel structure of the building creates a cool industrial atmosphere.

A built-in bookshelf rises in front of the stairs, creating one connected wooden volume within the open layout.

Sections of the bookcase remain backless to let light and images flow through.

Decorative items separate the book collection.

Bright wall art fashions interest areas as we move through the attic.

Recovered wooden doors have been salvaged and renovated to create historic breaks within the minimalist decor scheme.

Revealed pipes continue the industrial thread through the attic, sometimes colorfully highlighted with a playful pink finish.

A home workspace was created with a tailored black marble desk and a vibrant gallery wall.

Another custom-built bookshelf and stair combos build a cool children’s space.

This time, cheerful turquoise paint colors the shelves and steps. Ash wood floors brighten the space.

A wild black and white decorative plan enlivens the family bathroom. Bold yellow bathrooms further accentuate the fabulous concept.

The floor plan shows how the master bathroom escapes the long toilet area of the master series. The child’s room has access to the family bathroom immediately opposite, at the stairs.

Incorporating Arches Into Modern Home Decor

The arched theme communicates elegance, strength and modest beauty, but how do we assimilate the classically inspired arched trend into our modern home decor? Today we will explore how interior arches can be introduced into our living room spaces, dining rooms, kitchens and even bedrooms with subtlety and grace, using three inspiring home projects pictured by Elemental Design. These spaces have everything from arched home workshops, built-in shelf corners and arched chandeliers, to beautifully shaped cabinet door cuts, arched themed artwork, modern mirrors and decorative wall paint ideas. We will also see a fusion with the similarly rounded tops of racetrack elements, curved furniture contours and rounded accessories that complement the arched aesthetic.

A striking arch is located in a dead center of the living room in this modern home, where it forms an elegant background behind a small sofa. On the other side of the living room rug, an arch-supported lounge chair adds a complementary curve.

Two round coffee tables are grouped in the center of the living room, under a graceful counterbalanced arched chandelier.

Round rattan screens border a treasured Buddhist altar, lightly separating it from the TV wall and media cabinet.

The arched device behind the living room sofa is actually a compact home workshop, tucked into a row of custom storage areas. The attractive white and wooden built-in warmly commands the combination of the living room dining room.

Moving into the kitchen dining space, a modern dining table and chairs stand extend below Model 2065 pendant lights designed by Gino Sarfatti for Danish brand Astep.

Another wall of storage holds wine, glasses and decorative objects close to the table.

The table stands opposite the kitchen peninsula, allowing diners to easily engage the cook.

A combination of white and wooden kitchen units builds a clean and warm aesthetic around the room. A bright black fridge freezer adds a bold accent that ties in with the integrated oven and black kitchen accessories.

In the main room, the main theme is exchanged for the similarly smoothed tops of runway-shaped elements. Rattan-backed running cutouts form a fashionable wardrobe project next to the bed.

A natural woven rug places a round accent on the floor to balance a circular vanity mirror on the other side of the bed.

Two additional rattan rear cabinet doors go back to the arch design to accommodate their lower stature.

Relaxed rattan accents dominate in the second bedroom of the home, where a rattan chair matches a rattan design. A round mirror adds a curved silhouette over a sharp modern drawing board.

Rattana bedside table flanges the opposite side of the wooden platform bed.

A small wall light illuminates the loose lines of modern artwork.

As we enter the next bedroom, we see arched artwork above the upholstered bed. A modern window seat projects from a narrow threshold to make a bright reading angle.

The desk chair attached to the arch home workshop is the 1950s Armchair designed by Pierre Jeanneret for the modernist city of Chandigarh, India. See more inspiration for arches in interiors here.

In our next home design, an arched corner creates an elegant setting for a raised altar shelf. A lower corner is used as a niched bookshelf.

A cool gray sofa is accented with warm apricot cushions. A suitable gray ottoman is curved complemented by a round modern wall lamp.

The rectangular dining table combines white and wooden finishes to coordinate with the two-tone kitchen cabinet layout.

Pierre Jeanneret’s Armchair occupies one side of the table, while a casual dining bench occupies the other side. Pure white dining room pendant lights allow daylight to pass through from the kitchen window.

The tailored table top splits uniquely into a tiled peninsula.

An open arch connects the kitchen dining room with the neighboring home entrance. A racetrack mirror and a small round puff create curves between the front door and a wall of built-in corridor storage.

In the master, a circular decorative wall panel combines a soft cream accent behind modern pendant lights and chandeliers for sale ”title =” 40 Unique Bedroom Lights To Add Environment to Your Sleeping Space ”> bedroom lamp.

A brass table lamp eoesas the curve of an arc mirror on the other side of the bed.

Another open arch marks the transition between the resting sleeping space and wardrobe, plus the doors leading to the bathroom and the hallway.

Two-tone doors quietly break the expanse of closets and present a graceful arch.

Painted bedside extension adds curves to running vertical boom.

The painted piece connects itself with a small curved desk design and an arched shelving corner.

White cabinets clearly contrast with the arched insert.

In our final modern home design, an arch panel is accentuated by an LED light around its perimeter. The ornament rises like the morning sun behind a light modular sofa.

As we move through the open hall, we arrive at a dining hall, laden with the arch, runway, and elliptical motifs.

Rattan cabinet doors pull the running device into the kitchen.

The glass wall home office is gloriously lighted.

An arched mirror adorns the head wall in the bedroom.

A second workshop is located in the nursery.

Colorful planters brighten up a small balcony area.

Simplified luxury runs through this elegant modern home project, packed with lots of relaxing spaces. Displayed by ArtPartner Architects, this quiet home design focuses on self-care with a home sauna, steam room and several spa bathroom interiors. The impressive yet sober interior also has an airy and light-filled double-height lounge with expansive views over the city center and sky. The high living room forms a wide connecting column that joins the glass-sided upper volumes of the apartment, creating the ultimate living plan experience. A coordinated color and material palette of soothing neutral, marble veins and modern lattice texture form soothing cohesion.

A cascade of orb hanging lights rains from the high ceiling of a double high hall. Even turned off, the glass globes magically capture the sunlight from stacked windows that open up the side of the home to the stunning panorama.

In the center of the room, a discreet glass coffee table eoesas the black framed window aesthetic.

A gray modular sofa pulls around the edge of the living room, facing an elegant lattice TV wall. Perimeter lighting accentuates the textured wall panels. A modern fireplace flickers gently along the top of an elegant floating media unit.

The opposite side of the modular sofa layout is directed at the fabulous city view, creating a second and very different loose experience more meditative for reflection or reading.

A modern kitchen island is located to enjoy the view. Repositionable track lights illuminate the preparation area and dining table.

A marble kitchen rear spout rises around double inland wall units. Built-in appliances sink into a wall with a dark lattice texture.

In the modern home office, the desk is directed away from the wall. Seeing the desk at the door creates a good Feng Shoe and sets up a commanding presence.

The L-shaped desk contains ample storage in its base to avoid visual offices. A backlit library offers a place to display a preserved collection of decorative objects.

The floating media unit in the living room merges into a minimalist console staircase project. LED stage lights illuminate the steps, while a large globe lamp emits an atmospheric glow below.

Upstairs glass sauna room offers a welcoming place for self-care at home.

There is also a home photography / video studio, equipped with a white screen, box light and full mirror. Linear wall lights are spaced around the perimeter of the round room, distributing even light.

A small lounge area is set up next to the sauna room. A piece of textured wall art makes a statement behind the modern tufted sofa, while a square coffee table and ottoman fill the remaining floor area.

The sauna area leads directly into a luxurious bathroom.

A narrow privacy wall protects the toilet from the bathtub and the rest of the open concept space.

LED strips illuminate the shadow angle.

The bathtub has a view outside onto the open living room below, and to the skylight beyond the double-height windows.

In the luxurious bedroom, eye-catching bedroom pendant lights bring a metallic accent into the dark walnut and black decorative theme. An illuminated marble headboard is framed in an asymmetrical arrangement with a modern platform bed.

A glass wall makes a clear connection with the private shower.

A black ceiling gives the shower an intimate feel despite its open sides.

The toilet concealed wall has beautifully lit embedded marble panels.

A basin unit is illuminated around the base to match the brightness of the bathroom feature wall.

The glass wall gives extra depth to the bedroom.

The second beautiful bedroom is decorated with a dramatic rock feature wall behind a tall buttress. A swing arm lamp is attached to a section of wooden panels that contrast smoothly with the raw rock.

A gray bedroom rug creates gray layers with the low bed and gray sheets.

Gray tablecloths gather in the corner of the room, creating a comfortable backdrop for the bedroom reading corner.

Another textured feature wall adds character to the third bedroom.

On one side of the upholstered bed, a group of unique hanging lights bring a bright brass accent. A simple wall lamp adds a green light to the other side.

Floating bed edges are attached to the textured art wall.

Home workspace / toilet enters the bedroom alcove.

Another vanity table resides inside a luxurious wardrobe, next to a beautifully tailored system of shelves, clothes rails and floating drawers.

In the laundry room, a washing machine and dryer are high to save space. Vertical shelf units flank both sides, storing laundry and household cleaners.

Tiny LEDs flash like starlight over the vaulted ceiling of a dream steam room.

All the bathrooms in the home are equally spas, dressed in smooth marble, atmospherically lit and custom-made.

The repeated combination of materials and colors throughout each room creates a coherent calm.

Despite the repetition in materials, each space has its own unique twist.

Slatted panels and natural stone bring a deep and luxurious texture to this chic modern home design, pictured by ArtPartner Architects. The text decoration is smoothed with curved furniture lines and graceful classic arches within the high ceiling architecture. Large living spaces radiate elegance under a delicate tonal color palette of warm Belgians and soft browns. Copper accents add a rich and shiny element within the attractive kitchen design, where a stone island sets a solid anchor in front of a kitchen run hidden behind lattic doors. The text theme matches across all, with lined feature walls clearly countering curves at every beautiful turn of the sumptuous residence and an impressive master bedroom.

A curved sofa embraces the living room perimeter with a swing of soft deer brown. Combines modern seating and ottoman point circular accompaniments.

In front of the curved sofa, a round coffee table creates a core for the loose furniture layout. A circular chandelier carries the curved shaped theme to the ceiling.

Modern wall applications are paired vertically behind the sofa to form a decorative column of soft atmospheric light. A contemporary lamp sits low at the armchair to distribute even brightness.

The large modern chandelier benefits from the impressive ceiling height in the living room. Surface mounted floodlights ensure practical spacious lighting.

Natural woven carpet softens the wood laminate flooring.

The TV wall includes a tailored wall bookcase that shows only glimpses of the home library from behind dark wooden lattice doors.

A luxurious marble fireplace runs across the length of the room, with a small modern fireplace flickering neatly at just one end of its elegant stone surface.

Wall mounted OLED TV stands as a pride among the floating bookshelves.

The dining room is a chic, sophisticated layout with a delicate palette of deer and gray. Light brown upholstered dining chairs surround a cool stone dining table with moments of visual warmth.

The rounded silhouette of the dining room chandelier and the curved rear dining chairs complete a row of classic arched windows. Venetian blinds fall in front of the arched glass, where they cause an interesting cross effect against a surrounding wall of ribbed paneling.

An attractive botanical ornament adds a wild hue to the refined food. Feather feathers of pampas grass make a tonal connection with the brown padded dining chairs.

The kitchen is an attractive space set under a high sloping ceiling with large velvety windows that drizzle abundant natural light.

The light from the velvet windows is perfectly positioned to play on two shiny copper kitchen drawers, causing a spectacular glow.

A tiled floor is formed in an arch beneath the beautiful solid stone kitchen island to honor the home’s architectural arches.

Dining chairs are set up along the edge of the kitchen island to form a breakfast room.

An inserted induction hob brings the cook to the diners.

Ribbed plaster panels texture a characteristic wall against the island, around the bay window of the kitchen.

A small seat is arranged in the bay window as a place to watch or watch reading under the unique floor lamp.

A small side table offers a place to cook tea or coffee.

Behind the kitchen island, the remaining kitchen cupboards are revealed from behind a wall of capped doors that match perfectly with the bookshelves in the living room.

A copper kitchen faucet melts hot with the brown cabinets and a coordinating counter.

Advancing into the private pattern, the color palette cools to a completely gray scheme. A gray and white houndstothoth rug is spread out under the gray bed, and a gray bedroom chair occupies the corner.

Elegant arched windows gracefully jump beside the bed. Modern round bedside tables complete their perfect curves.

The deep headboard multitasking like a bookshelf and a comfortable bedroom workbench that remains peacefully hidden from view. A curved back seat dives just below the surface of the incognito desk, staying neatly out of sight.

The bed is angled to a large balcony and an amazing wide open view.

A wall of fluted glass separates the sleeping space from the bedroom entrance, and forms a comfortable screen around a comfortable seat.

Sculpting hanging lights descend on the seat, where a planter of pampas grass rises softly to highlight its texture and color.

A change in floor covering takes place under the two club seats, to mark a change of function.

A slimline additional floor lamp provides a reading light next to the bed.

Lightweight switches and convenient charging points are framed directly into the deep multifunction headrest.

Textile botanical displays soften the corners of the room, while plaster wall panels preserve modern clean lines.

Ribbed, lute and flute materials make a linear counterpoint with the arched windows and doors in the home architecture.

An arched doorway with a dramatic deep reveal gives an impressive first impression at the home entrance. An arched mirror reproduces the aesthetic.

In the luxurious bathroom, linearity reigns supreme with ribbed single facies and a sharply square vain mirror.

Attractive text decoration enlivens this modern home for a large family, located near Kyiv, Ukraine. Designed by Trush Design, the 750-square-foot house has a collectible Ferrari, which is displayed in the living room from inside a glass wall garage. The interior is a chic set of comfortable modern furniture and huge pieces of eye-catching art. A combination of deeply textured stone and polished metal brings brutal moments to the comfortable decorative scheme, creating a wonderful juxtaposition of materials. Unique hanging lights and an abundance of perimeter lights make up atmospheric brightness after dark. Terraces are styled to match mood lighting, modern living room furniture and sculptural elements.

The impressive modern home exterior communicates a sharp, linear aesthetic against the green landscape. Abundant lawn rolls from a decorative modern swimming pool next to the terrace, on the edge of a picturesque lake. Ripe trees sway in the breeze, creating music of quiet rustling leaves around the house.

Linear steps cross the man-made reflective pool that runs along the front of the outdoor living space. La Faded chair designed by Thomas Heatherwick for Magis punctuates small sculptural moments along its grassy edge.

There is a dreamy hammock space set up at one end of the sheltered terrace where the homeowners can read or take a nap under a blanket in the cool shade. The glass walled garage overlooks the homeowner’s collectible Ferrari to the outside living room, which is sharply contoured with LED ribbons.

A massive modern sculpture stands on a platform within the boundary of the pool. Its hammered metal finish playfully reflects the sunlight as well as the rippling waters below.

A sculptural wall light shines behind the outdoor sofa, where it highlights coffered concrete and lath panel walls.

A lounge area stands out across the plot to the spectacular lakeside view. A modern fireplace makes the place pleasant and welcoming.

An outdoor kitchen features a modern grill.

Huge rocks nest against the front of the house, nestled within a naturalistic ground cover. The organic shapes spectacularly contrast with the flat modernity of the building, and the elegant Ferrari, which can be seen through the glass in the facade.

In the main living room, sections of the luxurious dark gray modern sofa are arranged in a large L-shaped formation with side tables neatly tucked in between.

A delightful arched floor lamp interacts with a curly ceiling light across the dining room.

A contemporary fireplace flickers under the TV mount, which is hung from the ceiling. Modern wall lights glow brightly along the corridor behind it.

Unique directional hanging lights gently illuminate the glass wall garage and its spectacle.

Rough rock walls make a deeply contrasting frame around the sleek lines of the collectible car.

Another large bronze sculpture is displayed inside the home, close to the view of the huge outdoor version.

Boards of wooden floors artistically interrupt the concrete stone.

The long formal dining table contains 12 diners, a must for adults,

Upstairs is a comfortable terrace with an elegant modular sofa. Built-in planters give a brush of calm greenery.

Glass railings leave the beautiful panorama unobstructed.

A modern painting brings a blue explosion to the chest walls.

Stone stools sit in observation of the artwork.

LED strips thread light down the hallway.

The kitchen is a clear contemporary line of travertine and metal.

The designers filled the entire layout with edge lighting to soak up a cozy atmosphere in the evening.

A mini indoor garden grows bonsai at the stairs.

In the bedroom, a lighted art installation makes up a striking head wall.

A floating vanity table runs away from the closet wall. A frameless custom cut mirror feels the little vanity more and lighter.

This dramatic gray bedroom is textured with ridged rock wall panels that are illuminated under a modern floor lamp and warm perimeter lights.

A shapeless bedroom rug is edged from under the upholstered bed.

A luxurious square bathtub is sunk into a deep platform with steps leading to it. Wide windows open up the bathing area to spectacular lake shore views.

A wall-mounted gray toilet and video are located inside the protected shower. Built-in shelf stores toiletries and rolled sheets.

A subtle mood light creates a relaxed shower atmosphere.

Free-form wall mirrors form an artistic trio over the basin. Bronze wall panels embrace the edges of the contemporary bathroom vanity.

In the powder room, a rocky face wall boldly backs up the bathroom vanity.

A black toilet and a red plate quietly camouflage against a shady black cistern wall. Stem bathroom vanity lights descend on the modern stone basins and roofs. A tailored horizontal mirror neatly cuts the sturdy back splash. See more inspiration for vain mirrors here.

The final bathroom on the property takes on a much lighter decorative aesthetic, with all-white sanitary ware and pale concrete walls.

Linear concrete volumes build this elegant and luxurious home project of 1,260 square meters, located in Son Vida, Palma, Spain. Created by Osvaldo Luppi Architects, the luxury villa has extensive terraces that include a large outdoor swimming pool to enjoy under the Mediterranean sun. Outdoor living areas benefit from long days and warm nights on the south-eastern multi-level terraces that are stepped up to follow the topography of the hillside. Glass walls retreat to the outside with interior volumes, where pure white and gray walls and a golden wooden tone merge into amazing spaces. Be sure to watch the step-by-step video of this spectacular Mediterranean villa at the end of the tour.

The modern facades clearly cut into the rolling mountainside of this sought-after residential area, which is locally called the “Beverly Hills of Mallorca”.

In this high position, Villa Marola has fabulous views of the capital Palma and the surrounding countryside.

The luxurious house exterior awakens at night, emitting large bright lights from its glass front.

In the luxurious property, clean white and pale gray walls color a fresh feel, while a golden wood tone adds a soft warmth.

The living room is an airy space with a simple yet elegant composition of modern living room furniture. An L-shaped sofa gently embraces the perimeter of a rounded rectangular coffee table, opposite a few rotating armchairs. A modern fireplace and wood shop cut darkly into the back wall, placing a contrasting stripe against the matte white paint.

The contemporary tufted sofa and chic lounge chairs pale insignificantly against the enchanting view of Palma. Retractable glass walls let in the blissful wind.

At night the surrounding hills magically shine with the lights of the capital. Inside, niched headlights distribute even brightness, while perimeter LEDs highlight the texture of a wooden lath TV feature wall.

Built-in units float a few inches above the floor tile to keep the perception of free area in the clean layout. A plant is placed on top to create greenery through the dining room, up to the fireplace in the living room.

Another plant of plants is cut directly into the floor of the corridor, which creates a meaningful connection with the green hillside location. Textured concrete undulates a cool background, while wood wall protection offers an opposite smooth finish and warmth.

The rectangular pool glows across the front of the interior lounge and dining room, while the outdoor lounge aligns with the kitchen.

A modern outdoor sofa is positioned to comfortably view the views.

A huge white marble and wooden grain kitchen island faces the wide pool terrace and the vast panorama. Unique kitchen hanging lights fall to various heights to create a sculptural installation of shiny copper.

The luxurious white marble and wood finishes continue across the back wall of the kitchen, where a deeply niche planter is embedded in the back spout to simulate a mini-landscape view in the windowless wall.

A sculptural staircase project connects all three levels of the villa, rising from the access area at the base of the building, through the main living standard and up to the private bedrooms.

Solid wood railings cut out an increase in asymmetrical geometry.

Wooden slatted feature walls bring texture to the staircase, which exaggerates under hidden LED ribbons.

Upstairs, a master suite and three bedrooms each have their own bathroom and balcony area. The door to the bathroom and closets are camouflaged inside a wall of smooth wooden panels in the master. Glass balustrade allows you to enjoy the majestic mountain side views of an outdoor chair, from the cushioned end of a bed bench, or when you have breakfast in bed.

A built-in bathtub fills the adjacent wall, perfectly positioned to look at the view.

Floor vases form a beautiful moment in an empty corridor.

The property also has an indoor pool below on the access level.

The long driveway that leads to the home enters the shadow of a car park before turning into the garage.

A skylight fills the deep cover with natural light.

Plant beds grow a welcoming entrance.

The limited palette of materials improves continuity between interior and exterior areas.

Public floor plan with social housing, including the main sun terrace, swimming pool, and the outdoor lounge. We can also see the long and dramatic driveway to the property here. A high outdoor staircase provides a pedestrian entrance.

On the access floor plan, we can see where the parking garage lies under the main living room, and where the indoor pool is located under the sun deck.

The private floor plan illustrates the layout of the master bedroom series with a large bathroom and a private terrace. We can also observe the equal distribution of space between the remaining three bedrooms, bathrooms and terraces.

Bright Blue Accent Interiors bring vibrant energy to these two unique home. Bold artwork and contemporary furniture choices form a beautiful aesthetic that keeps the eye engaged and the mind open. Our first blue accent home interior has a youthful, fun and welcoming spirit, communicated through confident use of patterns and idiosyncratic elements. Our second prominent home is a chic mid-century NYC marquee, where unique furniture, stunning lighting, colorful gallery walls and luxurious blue statement pieces form sophisticated elegance. The two homes have some glorious, summer-ready terraces that are fully furnished and elegantly decorated for socializing, resting, dining and enjoying sunny days and mild nights.

An attentive blue and yellow regional rug sends energy through the living room of our first prominent home. A pair of nesting coffee tables lay a soothing full-white accent on the dense pattern, and clean white sheets dress the windows. A Seleti-style Simia lamp playfully swings between the folds of the curtain.

Attractive artwork fills the walls of the living room, creating many interesting spots.

Bright throws and multi-colored scattering cushions brighten up the gray sofa and modern lounge chairs.

A small side table puts a golden accent between the two elegant barrel chairs.

A spectacular modern chandelier draws the eye from the living area to the back kitchen.

The unique chandelier drips gold over the shiny white workshop and decorative gold bowl.

The golden accent theme continues into the formal dining room, where it shines over elegant modern dining chair frames. A round pedestal dining table places a clean white break in the center of the gold and black dining chair layout, on a luxurious, Prussian blue area rug.

A luxurious, Prussian blue tufted sofa colors the second living area. A black wing side chair is tied into the color scheme with a matching blue throw cushion. The beige shagpile rug spreads a deep comfort factor under a reflective gold coffee table.

The shagpile carpet aesthetic makes for a comfortable bedroom decor, putting a soft path around a gold padded platform bed and a modern bedroom chair. O bedroom hanging lights drop a focused green light over each bedside.

White, floating edges of the bed clearly cut against the abundant golden tufted bed sheet. Bright peacock blue sheets create a fresh contrast, and an assortment of artwork colorfully dot the white walls.

The dressing room lives with colorful displays of hats and accessories. A unique sculptural vanity stool features outstretched palms at the toilet and a golden vanity mirror. An island of drawers breaks the space under a luxurious black marble roof and gold hardware.

Golden statues of the Three Wise Monkeys make a thought-provoking decoration to the vanity table, while a unique jewelry box, decorative jewelry tray and gold hand jewelry, practically add to the drawer.

Sea blue stripes, sunflower yellow accent cushions and a leaf-themed rug give the second bedroom a summer feel.

The decorated terrace is cheerfully furnished with a bright turquoise outdoor sofa and tropical leaf prints. Vivid orange releases are available for when things start to cool down after dark.

This chic mid-century New York Penthouse, created by British designer Lee Broom, communicates sophistication and elegance. The formal living room does not yet have a drop of the blue accent, but areas of soothing white, ivory and warm wood tone.

A set of Lee Broom’s Tribeca Tables forms a sculptural moment at the heart of the clear lounge layout. The tables were inspired by a brutal 1970s skyscraper visible from windows. A round chandelier completes their modern shape.

Art and design dominate here, right from the entrance.

La Lunar table lamp designed by Lee Broom carries the beautiful golden finish aesthetic on the opposite side of the room.

Stone art plinth is compatible with modern fireplace design.

The blue accent theme is introduced in the chic dining / cocktail room, with Musico dining chairs and a blue back bar.

A sculptural gray glossy bar quantity makes a solid contrast against the water-like blue silk wall covering. The pub is an original 1980s piece designed by Steve Chase.

A small sofa and a decorative round mirror form a comfortable corner next to the dining room. This white version of the Split Mirror is a limited edition, created for the ‘Time Machine’ exhibition.

There is a warm tone of wood in the kitchen.

Modern design of stairs climbs with wooden steps and metal lifts. Glass balustrades clearly show the chic engineering, and a blue accent wall that goes up to the second floor.

A colorful gallery wall and bookcase with a sculptural screen bring a character to the eclectic home office space.

A vinyl recording cabinet stands against the opposite wall to provide music while the homeowner works. On the wall hangs a jacket painted by pop artist Keith Haring, who had his gallery and studio on this street itself in the ’80s.

The master bedroom is beautifully furnished with 1960s postmodern brass and stainless steel bed design.

Pedestals show sculptural art around the room.

A nail-trimmed black sofa adds more chicness. Abstract wall art exudes color against dark gray walls.

Gray marble encloses the lower third of the bathroom, creating elegant floors, a luxurious modern bathtub and a double vanity roof. A natural wood tone warms the rest of the small space, creating a comfortable sauna environment.

A white L-shaped sofa, coffee table and modern outdoor chairs make up a beautiful terrace lounge area; a perfect setting to enjoy summer drinks with friends.

The outdoor dining table awaits a fresh feast next to an outdoor kitchen. Musical chairs were recreated with materials suitable for the elements.

Abstract, linear volumes pile up to form a distinct modern 4266 square foot home for five families in Bangalore, India. Created by Spine Architects, the unique angular shape stands out sharply against a gray, densely populated metropolis. Pure white concrete and rich wooden cladding contain a dwelling based on the ancient architectural science of Vaastu, which embraces the advantages of nature. The interior spaces are simple, spacious and projected around two landscaped courtyards, each with skylights that flood sunlight into the openly interconnected floors of the house. The natural greenery brings a valuable exterior within the introverted urban housing, with trees that draw the eye up through the impressive void.

An illusion of floating piles is realized through cracks and openings around the modern home exterior, which gives the building its name “Floating Walls”.

The visually appealing structure is defined from the densely populated site by sloping white concrete walls that protrude from the front and side. Rich wood cladding looks warm and attractive under the glare of exterior lights.

The toned wood and clear glass elements juxtapose the solid white walls.

Unconventional slices swayed throughout the building to accommodate natural light and exterior views, while maintaining ultimate privacy.

Sun-seeking plants spring from behind the hidden walls of the home, hinting at the nature-centered design that awaits interior.

An impressive front entrance gate makes a smart and lasting first impression.

A layered verandah climbs to the inner front door, surrounded by lush green lawns and full plant beds.

The front entrance is a completely clear and seamless glass box, where the only frame is around the door itself.

Upon entering the apartment, we escape from city life behind a screen of tall tropical plants that filter out sunlight and spy eyes. The “casual” living room behind the ground floor is an elegant arrangement of project furniture with raised yellow and blue accents. A unique glass coffee table is raised by a striking rug. A chic store completes an Eames-style armchair.

Wooden clad feature walls echo the exterior aesthetics of the house. Tanned chairs continue the rich earthy tone to the dining room.

A Buddha statue designates a cult area within the first landscape courtyard project on the ground floor. A temple tree appears from behind the Puja, drawing the eye up through the multi-storey void to a skylight above.

The indoor plant eats sunlight from a large skylight. A glass wall welcomes the sunlight into the neighboring bedroom.

The skylight is positioned directly above the tree-lined courtyard on the ground floor.

On the other side of the living room from the first floor, a modern home office is arranged with a minimalist floating desk.

The glass wall room is decorated with a vibrant contrast of purple red and royal blue accent pieces. Fabric panels are installed to give privacy when needed.

Built-in shelf niches are lined with red cracks.

Each bedroom in the home gets its own unique identity.

Creating a bedroom chair and rug defines a small lounge area within this beautiful bedroom.

Intertwined interior and exterior spaces filter natural light and ventilation.

Upstairs on the second floor is a guest bedroom and a half-open terrace with a kitchen.

A traditional load carrying and counterweight system was used to drastically cantilever a series of 2 ″ thick Sadahalli slabs at a screen wall at the front entrance.

Ground floor plan, including formal and informal lounges, the kitchen, dining room and lounge, and the first of five bedrooms. The ground floor bedroom series stands complete with a bathroom and closet for the homeowner’s parents.

A mezzanine floor plan, including a bedroom suite with a wardrobe and a bathroom.

First floor plan, including the master bedroom, guest bedroom, another children’s bedroom, family lounge area, and study room with balcony.

Second floor plan, including a second guest bedroom with private bathroom, and a large terrace with kitchen.

We Built Our Own Camper From Scratch Out In The Desert

We are no strangers to camping. In fact, we have been living almost exclusively on the road, frequenting BLM and national forest lands, since 2018, and have gone through four campsites at that time. After a special work that planted us in one place for three months, we set off (mostly indifferent to the horizon) just as the effects of the pandemic hit the nation and the world: March 2020.

But we wanted something better than the cheaply built, often problematic RVs we were used to. We wanted something with hard sides (for safety) but not too heavy and bulky, as that would be a burden to transport along the way and limit where we could go.

A generous pile of 2 × 2 wood – we end up buying quite a bit more

Having a truck already, we worked with what we had. One of the bigger lessons I’ve learned over the years on the road is not to focus on what you don’t have, but to work to the limits and “do what you can, with what you have, where you is. ”(This is a quote from varlet Bill Widener, often attributed to Theodore Roosevelt.)

Framing it

We recently sold our latest “camper van,” which was a basic fiberglass truck capsule designed for contractors and converted by us for camping. It was low profile and big enough for a bed and some storage.

Now is the time for something more suitable for us.

We wrapped the studs with aluminum flashing, a total of five rolls

The seams were taped with aluminum waterproof tape

What we have done is not perfect. We have not experienced builders. But my wife and I combined our knowledge of construction learned in part during our younger years by helping our parents with various home remodeling projects and building something we hoped we could make happy.

The circumstances in which we built our truck were not ideal … at least. We had no flat terrain.

Lightweight foam insulation was inserted and glued between each 2 × 2

Adding the bookcase; by that time, we had moved to a friend’s house to continue the work

It was north of Tucson, a BLM site with nothing but pale green, shrubbery, some well-chopped saguaros, and all dust. Military aircraft flew daily, along with some private gliders, which circled silently above; even the occasional parachute trainers fell at high altitude somewhere across Interstate 10, barely visible in the midday sun.

Here is the framework for our bench storage

The fifty watts of solar energy we got in wasn’t enough to power tools beyond filling up any 12V batteries for my drill that were old, tired, and barely charged. Naturally, all woodcuts were made by hand.

The 2 × 2 wood at Home Depot was curved, knotted and prone to splitting.

Our budget was very limited due to difficulties I was able to fill a book discussion.

We got this cool vintage door and I framed it to fit using stained wood from an old bed frame

But in the end, we got framed in the camper and had a proper shell. At the time it was light enough to get into the back of our old Ford truck.

Over time, people with materials and various aids (you know who you are, and we always appreciate your help).

A beautiful sunset captured during the construction

100 watts of sunscreen tied to our signature blue awning, made of metal futon, which we bought for $ 20

Finally, the pieces came together and we had something workable. We recycled a lot of material and took advantage of our limited resources, forcing ourselves to work almost exclusively with what we had at our disposal, only by buying things considered absolutely essential.

What you see in the video (link at the end) is a tour of where we are right now. We have plans for more, but the project has reached a point where we are happy to share it with those looking for ways to live simply and cheaply and build their own platforms with a very limited budget.

It’s always good to see free electricity coming in!

Eventually, the camper becomes more domestic; the left “wall” is the bottom of the folding bed

The sofa and roof

We then added two windows to light and ventilate

The “New” truck with a freshly painted wooden flat bed

Then we added some steps

We hope you can gather some ideas for your own built-in project, as doing it yourself will ultimately save you a lot of money, give you the personal nuances, and hopefully give you the longevity you probably won’t get from most anything on the RV market.

Wild horses visiting our back door

Camping in the mountains at a new favorite place

Another of the greatest lessons I have learned and paid attention to: the most worthy things are also the most difficult; realizing something good can and will destroy you until the desire to stop completely. I have felt that many times. But you go on, it’s over, and you’re glad (and probably amazed) that you did it. Make no mistake: living on the road is NOT easy. Behindus behind all the good sunshine, beach campfires, spotless RV interiors and bright Instagram smiles are perhaps a near-train wreck. Vehicles break down, curtains stain, finances run out, plans fail, people fail, the weather prevents everything (although these are things that happen in any life scenario). But van life, bus life and truck life can be a much simpler and cheaper way to live. And if nothing else, you can’t surpass the ability to change your backyard (and your neighbors) whenever you want.

Some perspective … a little life in a big world

Carlile Armadale apartments are a set of chic luxury apartments located in curved, decorative art in Melbourne, Australia. Here we will look at the intricate design that forms the interiors of these extraordinary apartments, and some subtle stylistic variations between them. These high-end interiors are modern yet timeless, functional but attractive, to complement the special character of the building’s heritage facade. A deep, muted color enriches a material palette of natural wood, cool stone and metals to create a polished pattern. Wardrobes and beautiful bathroom projects build layers of luxury, while unique contemporary furniture attracts lines and pronounces luxurious comfort.

As we enter the main apartment of this apartment, an eye-catching jade green tufted sofa sets the tone for a unique modern luxury. A contemporary fireplace blazes across a luxurious marble fireplace. Large marble shelves extend the aesthetic in a vertical column. Twin lounge chairs set up a unique, designer presence.

In this alternative Carlile apartment, we see the tufted sofa moved to a more centralized position, which leaves room for a contemporary floor lamp by running floor-to-ceiling windows. This time the fireplace is contained in an attractive partition. A wide area rug connects the luxurious L-shaped sofa arrangement to the brightness of the fire.

A much more boxy contemporary sofa design approaches the modern fireplace of this apartment, which flickers inside a glass fireplace screen. The outer edges of the deep stone fireplace are used as bookshelves here, while elegant wooden effect panels texture the wall above.

A black marble coffee table completes the texture of the marble fireplace and built-in shelves. A clear glass vase and coffee table books provide a simple, unpretentious centerpiece.

The open concept lounge flows extensively into a chic formal dining room comfortably equipped for up to eight dinners, and into a large kitchen with dining area.

The luxurious kitchen island connects with the rest of the marble elements through the design of an open living room to create an elegant cohesion. Walnut lacquer kitchen towers build a warm backdrop for the cool gray stone island, while a central column of gloomy gray top cupboards and a coordinating gray back splash set a tonal link.

Gold-plated kitchen stools add a warm glow in front of the monolithic gray kitchen island, while their smoky padding completes the dramatic dark vein of the stone.

Well-placed artwork adds pulses of rich color to the refined decor scheme used here to draw attention to a well-stocked bar cart between the kitchen and living room spaces. An open kitchen shelf gives depth to this kitchen installation, and an option to display special cutlery, glasses and decorative objects.

Some of the apartments have a full home bar, accessible through glass doors of the living room.

An elegant armchair and a small coffee table form a comfortable place to relax with a strong drink while enjoying the city.

A blue padded bed adds a spot of uplifting color to the neutral bedroom plan. A modern glass wall light illuminates each bedside drawer, while the contemporary fireplace adds a comfortable light between two large windows.

In the library, a folding desk provides a comfortable area for work. A plum puff makes a neat replacement for a full-size desk chair.

In the closet, a brandy vanity chair stops at a built-in toilet. A large vanity mirror reflects light into the built-in corner.

Fully equipped closet systems fully utilize the closet space.

A marble enclosed bathtub is the heroic piece of the luxurious bathroom design. The tub lies under a large window with a relaxed view. Contrasting vertical tiles lined a curved feature wall around the head of the tub, which is highlighted under thin bathroom lamps.

Residents of the luxury Carlile Armadale apartments have access to covered parking.

Sliding glass doors open the main living spaces to private terraces and outside dining areas. Low maintenance flowering plants and trees green trim the outer extent of living space.

A black sun lounger makes for a tempting reading area, or a place for contemplation looking over the city and Malvern Public Gardens.

The gap between two attractive and functional heritage buildings forms the unobtrusive, vine-draped pedestrian entrance to the Carlile apartments above.

The development grows from a street of lively cafes, eateries, restaurants, bakeries and bars, as well as a variety of local and international shops that offer a variety of shops on the doorstep. The property has its own open-looking cafe courtyard, which creates a street presence in conjunction with the surrounding establishments.

A community pool extends next to the building.

The mix of deciduous and evergreen plants, and Carlile’s landscaped character, Armadale, work to gently blend the building with the surrounding location and heritage. It was essential that the residential interiors also honor the history and caliber of Armadale, Melbourne, at the same time as the development of the area into a contemporary design.

5 Considerations Before Buying a New Construction Home

Buying an existing or new construction site is the most exciting day for many people and also the scariest. When a person rents an apartment or house, they cannot make any changes and must get permission to even paint a room. But they also don’t have to worry about maintenance and repair costs. When something goes wrong, a person just calls the landlord to ask for repairs. When a family buys a new home, they are responsible for care and repair. However, they can make any changes and make any decoration they want and can afford.

Buying a New Home

Buying a new construction home is almost everyone’s dream. But not everyone can afford to be the first owners of a new home. The next best ticket to home ownership is to buy a pre-owned home and remodel or renovate it according to the tastes and needs of a family. Buying a brand new home is still a dream for many homeowners who could start with an existing home and then move up to a new construction home when they can afford it.

But remember that buying a new construction home can also be a hindrance. It is not the same to buy an existing home. There are important considerations for the new home buyer. Here are five notable things:

Before You Start Searching for a Home

  1. Before starting the search get a good property with experience in selling new construction houses. They can protect you and make sure everything during the sale is done correctly.
  2. Find the best lender before starting the home search. They will tell you how much you can pay in payments and interest rates. The right lender can save a house by buying money. Understand all the financial options available to you. Get pre-approval for a loan before starting the home search.
  3. Before the home search begins, look at the different new construction neighborhoods and narrow the search to neighborhoods you can afford, and that appeal to you considering amenities and a convenient place to work and schools. The perfect house in the wrong neighborhood will not be a good choice. What are the amenities the builder plans for the construction? What is planned for the surrounding area in the near future? What is close to the planned neighborhood now? No one wants to be on a direct flight path from an airport or near a factory with harmful fumes.
  4. Look at the builders for the developments you’re considering. Check online reviews and ratings on customer satisfaction. Check with the Better Business Bureau for ongoing purchase complaints. Drive along to homes they’ve built, and take a look at their online website for house plans they offer. Take a look at their price compared to other builders. Ask the Agent that you have chosen to critique the good and bad points of each builder you consider.
  5. As a family, decide what is needed in a home and what every family member wants. Make a priority list of factors that matter in a new home, and try to get as many items on the list in any home considered. A home that does not meet the needs of a family is just not suitable. Don’t settle for a home that won’t be convenient and comfortable to live in.

When You Buy The New Construction House

Here are five considerations when looking for and buying a home:

  1. Remember that the model houses you visit are not the houses you will receive. Your house is yet to be built. Even if you specify that you want the same plan as the model home, it may not be the same. But you can customize each house to your liking. Paint and other finishes make a big difference without changing the cost if you stay according to the construction plans. If you like a floor plan except for a few changes, you can get the changes to the floor plan but it will cost more.
  2. Write down every detail of the new home purchase. This includes colors and finishes, floor plan changes, deadlines, and any other changes and choices. So if something is not so agreed upon, you have written proof of your choices.
  3. Get as many guarantees as possible and receive them in writing. This includes the home finished on time, the quality of construction and customer satisfaction. Ask these questions:
    • What percentage of the homes in the project are sold?
    • Who will you work with during construction?
    • What features are included in the price, and what improvements increase the price of the home?
    • How often can you visit the home during construction?
    • What happens if the home completion is delayed?
    • How are buyers ’concerns and complaints handled?
    • What measures are being taken in construction to affect domestic energy?
  1. Timing is important. When will construction take place? How long will it last? A new home can take from seven months to a year to complete. If you can’t wait that long, consider buying the model home if it’s the right floor plan and appeals to you. Model homes are sold when a large percentage of the homes in the development are sold.
  2. When the home is finished, be sure to receive an independent home inspection and request a correction of defects prior to closing. Builders make mistakes, and it’s best to find them and fix them before closing. Home inspectors see things a homeowner would miss. Then pay attention during the tour and take accurate notes on things that are not appropriate. One of the advantages of buying a new home is that you don’t have to worry about repairs or things breaking or failing for quite some time. So make sure there are no defects before you close the house. The builder will be more willing to repair defects prior to closure.

Buying a new construction site is exciting. Most people buy the biggest house they can afford, and then experience a few surpluses due to changes that increase that investment. Try to avoid any costly changes during construction. Once the closing has taken place and the family has moved into the new home, make sure the furniture and belongings are correct and make sure the unpacking is done promptly so that the family can enjoy living in the new home. Meet your neighbors as soon as possible, and drive around the neighborhood to get to know the family, where all the amenities are located. Now, enjoy the new home.

Striking project statements sharpen the layout of this 250-square-meter apartment, located in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Designed by Almaty-Vilnius Architects, space is arranged around heroic pieces that captivate the eye and engage the imagination. While the home decor is primarily a clean and clear white background, colorful accents of blue, yellow and green create a ripple in the quiet environment. The home has an elegant living/dining room, a large dining room with breakfast and island bar, a quaint home office with a custom desk, an atmospheric home cinema, three beautiful modern bedrooms and two inspiring marble bathroom projects.

A modern white sectional sofa makes a clean frame around a unique geometric nesting coffee table.

The versatile coffee table can be placed edge-to-edge as one elegant piece, or divided into three small side tables.

Decorative vases draw attention to an elegant line TV, mounted just a few inches from the floor. Gray tiles behind the TV wall, and frame an elegantly high interior door.

A Chair Series Up 2000 by Gaetano Pesce for B&B Italia anchors a bold black accent in the lightroom. The projected chair also serves as a visual separation between the living room and the home entrance. The transition from wood to tile floors further accentuates the division of zones.

A striking modern chandelier draws attention to the dining room behind the couch.

Black coated steel frames create an abstract cube over the rectangular dining table, while eye sockets bring light globes.

Thin backs raise a modern console table at the side of the dining room, creating a light effect under a large and dominant artwork.

Unique ceramic vases make an interesting yet modest table centerpiece under the declarative dining room chandelier.

A glass vase supports a discreet green ornament.

Warm gray tower units and a gray marble back color half of the L-shaped kitchen installation, while white base cabinets and a clear white island complete the run.

Window blinds were hung from the ceiling line to create an illusion of full-height glass.

A mirrored partition is custom-finished with a shelf tower that adds a decorative touch to the open home entrance. A red accent chair makes a warm place to put shoes next to the front closet.

The modern interior office is a generously proportioned space with declarative yellow living room furniture and a push-up solid green rug. In contrast, the workshop itself is a complex neutral affair with a tailored white & wooden desk design and a chic black & extra desk chair.

Heavy black sheets build drama around the master desk, darkly cutting between huge windows.

The light yellow armchairs cheerfully contrast the dark elements in the room. A solid white marble coffee table comes together in a moment of luxury.

Acoustic panels enchant the sounds of home cinema. Small side tables set the snacks.

Frameless interior doors fit perfectly with the walls of the white corridor.

In the master bedroom, a huge 4 poster frame makes a platform under the bed, creating the look of a room within a room. See more inspiration for 4 poster beds here.

A dark gray rug creates a soft walkway around the bed frame, bridging the gap between the TV and bedroom area.

On the opposite side of the bedroom, a glass framed desk allows natural light and the view from the window to wash. A gray pivot desk chair creates a toned tie with the gray bedroom rug.

Colorful project objects, including red Dog Magis by Eero Aarnio for Magis, add a projective touch to the children’s bedroom.

A yellow carpet sets a playfully beating base for the blue children’s bed.

Perimeter lighting and a unique circular wall light create a comfortable atmosphere.

A geometric killer decor brings a burgundy accent to the final bedroom on the tour.

A mustard bed sets up another deeply colorful statement in the simple white surroundings.

In the bathroom, a textured wet wall waves behind a modern freestanding bathtub.

A unique concrete rural sink stands out from a linear oak vanity. Custom cut, edge-to-wall mirrors create the illusion of a much larger room.

In the powder room, a round mirror sets up the gray marble vanity.

Oak effective wall panels heat up the grumpy dark gray room scheme.

Steel-wrapped doors allow plenty of natural light into the parking lot.

A white canopy shields the terrace to create a multifunctional outdoor living space, with various lounge areas, a dining area and outdoor heaters. Elegant rattan boxes store lids to further combat the evening cold.

Six super comfortable dining chairs make the outdoor dining table a place to gather, chat and stay for some time.

Floor plan, with a parking garage.

Full layout with dimensions.

Each measuring just under 40 square meters, these three apartment interiors in Odessa, Ukraine, inspire three different personality types. Our first tour takes us to a sophisticated home with a bronze framed glass wall design, unique modern furniture ideas and an unquestionably luxurious kitchen project – despite its small proportions. Our second stop is made at a simple, young and sturdy apartment interior, designed for tenants, with another glass wall project that lends light to a multi-purpose living room. Color seekers may like our final prominent interior, where rich color accents add a touch of the unexpected. Floor plans included at the end of each tour.

This complex living room belongs to an apartment with one bedroom of 35 square meters, located in a multi-storey apartment complex. The low-back design of a stone gray modular sofa makes the small area appear open and therefore more spacious.

The compact apartment consists of a combined living room and kitchen, a glass wall project and a bathroom.

Minimal amounts of furniture, a hollow decor and a limited material palette allow emphasis to fall on the remaining high-quality elements and sea view. Thanks to the glass wall, the ocean panorama flows unhindered throughout the width of the apartment, creating an immediate factor entering the home.

A custom-cut frameless mirror was formed in accordance with the front door of the apartment, which creates a false window effect on the solid empty entrance wall.

A unique faucet adds a shiny copper accent to the clean white kitchen island.

The glass walls of the bedroom are framed by matching copper surrounds.

The TV wall is an understated thing, kept streamlined to keep the full functional width of the space.

A square kitchen sink lies sharply into the untouched marble roof.

A unique bathroom sink gives the all-white bathroom an interesting focus. LEDs emphasize the floating characteristic of low, murmur vanity.

Floor plan.

Then we move on to a rented apartment of 37 square meters. A cool white and gold wood tone colors the multifunctional living space.

A small dining table set overlapped the change of floor covering, standing across and white tile from the kitchen and the solid pine board from the living room.

A small workshop is arranged inside the bedroom, with a simple floating desk and a coordinating white swivel chair.

Pine panels form a comprehensive bedboard design that expands the spatial sense.

In the bathroom, a modern pedestal sink and a round vanity mirror smoothly match their identical diameter.

Our third small home tour in Odessa, Ukraine, takes place in a 35-square-meter apartment. The customers asked for a subtle monochrome decoration scheme but short colored moments made the final cut. Burgundy softening visually warms the small living room, and sets it apart from the nearby dining room.

Two workstations fill the opposite side of the compact but functional living room.

Pale gray scattering cushions and matching throw separate the solid burgundy sofa design.

In the hallway of the home, deep charcoal storage contains a lighted screen corner that shines a welcoming glow at the front door.

The full-grain storage volume flows around the corner to blend seamlessly with the small kitchen design.

Fresh white crown melting neatly fuses the built-in storage volume with the structural walls of the apartment.

Wall-mounted pendant light makes for a delicate accompaniment to the small dining table.

Gentle atmospheric light sets the scene for a comfortable dinner for two.

The living room TV is inserted next to the dual workplaces. A repositionable TV wall bracket allows it to swing outward to face the sofa, or stay angled to the kitchen or dining room.

The small kitchen is broken into two walls of full-height dark gray units and a contrasting wall of bright beech base cabinets and tops. A charcoal ceiling panel bridges the kitchen, connecting the darker elements.

A charcoal gray bed sheet panels strip through a lighter gray paint inside the bedroom.

A unique tray top side table adds a fun burst of bright burnt orange that dominates the monochrome scheme.

The foot of tailored bedspreads under a row of wall cupboards.

Recessed shelves cause a break between the closet and a built-in toilet.

A burgundy vanity stool adds a rich note to the makeup table, and ties back to the lounge accent color.

Laundry equipment is located inside the compact bathroom. Unique bathroom lighting illuminates the pool.

An open shelf is available to store soap dispensers next to the basin and a food remover for the laundry.

Textured tiles elegantly darken the lower third of the bathroom and engulf the bathtub, while the upper walls are light and bright.

Atmospheric light washes the tiled wet wall.

An ultra narrow heated towel adds a playful baby blue accent to the small space.

Floor plan.

Whatever feelings or belief system you may have around the color red, whether it’s passion, strength, energy, or even luck, red is definitely a powerful power when it comes to interior design. Because of its intensity, red is more manageable in smaller quantities, as are chamber elements that are more accentuated than dominant. Using too much of this strong shade can easily accomplish a pattern, but with more focused bursts, this color can be used to zoning and intensify areas within a room or open plan. That said, here are three inspiring home interiors that use bold red accents to create warmth within white modern home interiors.

Our first home is an apartment designed for a young professional female homeowner, located in Moscow, Russia. A modular sofa is marked as the first hot spot in this arrangement by a red hit at the backrest, and more subtly by interlaced sections in the upholstery. The spaced red accents make the predominantly white home interior look bright and comfortable.

A pale gold finish table neatly wraps around the end of the sectional sofa layout to form a comfortable reading area.

The metal end table and delightful gold-to-red shaded metal volume shine in the soft atmospheric lighting scheme.

A floating TV stand carries the red accent around the perimeter of the living room in a luxurious marble moment. One end of the TV was formed into a container for indoor plants.

Recessed LED strips illuminate and define a textured wall covering across the TV wall.

The graduated metal cube forms the main focus of the combo dining room. The unusual volume contains a vestibule dressing room, along with some long-term storage. Contrary to the rest of the contemporary interior, a classic baroque gilded frame was used to display artwork by Italian pop artist Slasky, whose work transcends tradition and modernism.

Behind the lounge area, the island was marked as the hot spot of the kitchen. Coordinated red bar stools, cupboards and roofs make up one fully colored saturated volume.

Moving into the bedroom, we discover that the bedroom closet is located behind another beautiful shady volume. A wooden platform bed fills the rest of the length of the room with an elongated bed sheet.

Unlike the opaque shaded metal volume in the living space, the bedroom closet cube is formed by translucent gradient glass partitions. Illuminated dress rails and shelves glow through the gold glass.

Modern sliding shutters run through the large window.

A clean, linear floating TV is installed at the foot of the bed, which is transformed into a home workshop at the window end.

A shiny gold swivel chair adds elegance to the simple desk.

The homeowner asked that the bedroom be kept spacious for yoga practice at the window.

The warm color theme is completely lit within a cool blue bathroom plan.

However, the red accent still comes together in the usual shady two-screen treatment.

The tinted screen defines the walk-in shower from the rest of the color-blocked bathroom.

Bathrooms form a wall of light copper.

The suspended rack hides shower accessories and cosmetics from view.

Floor plan.

Our second modern home design lays a base of earthy brown elements for the red accent, over a clear white foundation. An espresso round rug covers a rusty rectangular equivalent to create a warm layered effect.

Bright red wall art focuses on where we would expect to find a TV or projection screen. A wonderful decorative ceiling fusion extends along the length of the common living room and dining room.

Wooden coffee table beds into the luxurious carpet layout, under the weight of a Tom Ford coffee table book.

Bold art by Carsten Beck brings self-confidence energy to the modern dining room. A large globe dining room lamp completes the striking abstract composition.

A unique accent chair vibrates with the bright wooden dining table from the corner of the room, while the dark dining chairs connect with the black and white artwork.

Checkered plaid accent chairs bring a pattern to the elegantly cured living room. A unique end table is his own artwork, with molded perspex legs and visible gold fixtures.

Another artwork Carsten Beck decorates a black and white marble kitchen project. The fabulous decorative ceiling fusion crowns the setting. See more inspiration for black and white kitchens.

In the master, a burgundy rug underlines a pale gray upholstered bed and a woven sofa. A unique leather chair makes a reading room in the window.

Finally, our third red accent home interior is an adventurous design that combines classic and modern aesthetics, and lots of materials.

A modern sofa table supports the red sectional sofa project.

Textured carpet is ribbed with red valleys. Glass art wraps a classic panel molded pillar.

Red mirror glass units create a graded feature wall in the dining room and hallway.

Another ribbed rug and a set of modern dining chairs make up the scheme of a red dining room. The ribbed texture of the rug echoes in the legs of the racetrack dining table to create a textural unity.

A run-down kitchen island completes the neighboring dining table so that the areas become a cohesive unit when double doors are opened.

Floor plan.
