Handmade ceramic home accessories, thick wood accented furniture and textured lime stucco make up earthy rustic interiors that feed the soul. In this inspiring collection of beautiful rustic apartments, we visit four different upscale homes from all over the world. We will travel to Turks and Caicos Islands to visit a home design that mixes handcrafted crafts with modern interior concepts. In Bali, Indonesia, we visit a compact modern apartment that is shaped by extraordinary curves. Our expedition to Turkey leads us to a spacious apartment with solid, custom concrete kitchen and bathroom designs, while our destination in Vietnam is a free-form dream.
Our first rustic home design, in the Turks and Caicos Islands, offers a large and airy rustic-style interior that is clad in textured lime stucco. A patterned living room rug completes the light wall treatment, while pulling darker tones from the rustic wooden furniture.
A modern fireplace is lit inside a cracked chimney. A smooth black chimney accentuates the wide linearity of the open cut.
A rich, dark wood ceiling treatment covers the bright room decor. A wooden chair set perfectly complements the tone.
In the center of the living room, a rustic wooden coffee table is joined by a pair of small stools.
Glass bottles and a decorative tray make up an attractive centerpiece.
One whole wall of the hall is dedicated to an extensive collection of ceramic decorative vases.
The handmade pottery is exposed above slender black shelves and atmospherically illuminated by hidden LED light strips. The soft gloss not only accentuates the handmade vases, but also highlights the rustic murine texture.
Durable polished concrete fills the floors of the rustic apartment, with rugs scattered around and around for a comfortable warmth underfoot.
Wicker accents and wooden bowls provide moments of rustic art to the apartment at every available opportunity. Indoor plants add a burst of fresh, uplifting greenery to the interior, which helps form a bond with the tranquil nature views beyond the window panes.

In the bathroom, amber glass vases and toilet bottles are subtly fused with a rich wooden vanity unit.
Concrete bathroom sink counter the natural wood vanity shelf with man-made material. Wicker baskets offer a neat and attractive storage solution under the pelvis, while a tasseled carpet softens the look of the concrete bathroom.
In Bali, Indonesia, we find a modern apartment that is a bit compact in its room sizes, but is mostly extraordinary in many ways.
Interior walls are made of lime to achieve a smooth, lacquered result.
In this unique living room design, a custom sofa has been shaped to fit an extraordinarily curved wall. A pebble-like modern coffee table fits the smooth embrace of the sofa. Upholstery is perfectly shade-compatible to the walls for a peaceful, understated finish.

An oval dining table continues the curvy shape theme. Eight curved dining chairs surround the wooden table.
Wicker dining room hangers are grouped in a large composition along the length of the rustic dining table to create a show-stopping focus and spread even lighting. A unique modern fruit bowl serves as a rustic dining table ornament.
The kitchen is made up of a custom concrete wrapper that builds a closet island and an integrated workbench. Raw wooden doors in front of the concrete kitchen units to create a contrast of warm and cool tones.
On the opposite side of the kitchen island, a modular sofa is positioned at the edge of a swimming pool, on a wonderfully curved terrace.
A pair of chairs furnish the bedroom balcony, providing a relaxing place to enjoy a light breakfast or a cup of coffee.
Inside the rustic bedroom, a large screen divides the room into a bedroom and a dressing room. A modern wooden platform bed is laid out in front of the headboard partition wall, where the homeowners can enjoy the beautiful view through the balcony doors. Lantern-like bedside lamps add a comfortable glow after a night out.
A custom desk follows the curved perimeter. A modern table lamp adds function and mood.
Behind the triple bulkhead, the entrance closet is backlit to aid in the choice of clothing.
In the second bedroom, rustic bedside tables flank another headboard wall that separates a wardrobe.
A wooden storage unit has been customized into a comfortable alcove to make the room layout look streamlined.
Behind the partition wall, a clothes rail and a wooden chest of drawers organize clothes.
A slightly different arrangement is found in the third bedroom, where a closet is located at the foot of the bed behind decorative rotating screens.
The rotating screens also function as a TV mount.
The same arrangement is repeated in the final bedroom, although this time a pair of wicker hangers provide a striking feature.
A standing bathtub matches lime stucco walls and a coordinated vanity unit.
Modern bathroom lights flank a large round mirror over the custom, linear vanity unit. A living edge wooden shelf underlines the stone double sink, causing hot counteraction.
The walls of the bathroom do not fully reach the ceiling to accommodate its domed, thatched roof.
In the smaller powder room, a high free-form mirror makes a striking companion for a small, linear stone basin.
The recreation room is furnished with a showy curved sofa, which has been custom designed to follow the curvature of the wall. A round coffee table nests inside its arch.
Behind the TV wall, storage units are available to store board games and consoles. An elegant football table completes the fun zone.
In Turkey, a large hall is accessed by a pile of natural and black wicker hangers that hang between exposed wooden ceiling beams. Downstairs on the concrete floor, a pale gray modular sofa makes up a versatile seating arrangement.
A wooden console table separates the living area from an open kitchen dining room. The kitchen cabinets are a custom concrete compound. Wooden cupboard doors and drawer fronts are complemented by wooden open kitchen shelves.
The set of wooden wall shelves provides most of the kitchen storage. Ceramic dishes and glassware are packed and stacked tightly along their length to create an attractive focus.
Bathroom cabinets are assembled in the same concrete compound as the kitchen, which transforms into concrete vanity on one side. A simple, black-framed vanity mirror contrasts darkly with the light mural.
Linen curtains allow natural light to filter softly. Sunbeams fall on a beautiful arched wooden door.
Our final home design, located in Vietnam, is personified by a fabulous shapeless shelf unit installation that blends in with the limestone stucco. A raised platform floor raises a comfortable tea room at the food of the built-in unit. Macrame window dressing doubles as a striking artwork.
Next to the custom shelf, a small sofa and rustic floor lamp form a comfortable living area. Woven killer decor adds color and interest. Two small coffee tables form a curious, incompatible pair on a small rug.
An indoor swing adds a fun touch to the living room. The tiny seating solution also maintains the open and airy atmosphere of the room, and allows light to flow in unobstructed from the large windows.
A shapeless mirror echoes the fluid shapes that sculpt the unique shelf on the opposite side of the room. A wicker hanging light warmly illuminates the home entrance.
The rectangular wooden dining table fits well into the L-shaped kitchen layout.
A wooden dining bench furnishes one side of the table to help the room layout stay open and unobstructed, while Pierre Jeanneret’s Easy Chairs complete the other side. A large wicker hanging shadow makes a text statement over the head.
The L-shaped kitchen layout is broken by a run of open kitchen shelves that show only a few decorative items of kitchenware.
