From fun to fabulous, these five modern studios showcase a variety of color palettes and creative arrangements to complement and maximize small spaces. Studio apartment design number one is a complex white and brown tone apartment with a bold glass bathroom design and built-in blocks that define each zone in the open layout. Extreme black and white, pale gray and natural elements make up the curly interiors of Scandi-inspired apartment projects two and three. An explosion of colorful and botanical introductions forms the fourth, while aqua blue and yellow accents brighten things up at our final stop. Detailed floor plans are scattered for reference.

Rich brown accents warm up the pale gray and white decor scheme of our first studio apartment. Built-in storage blocks, various floor height and design elements define zones within the small layout, from an elevated bedroom platform with a bedside storage wall to a glass projected kitchen with enveloping track lights.

A unique coffee table creates an interesting wave through the central lounge. Its creamy stone finish is complemented by a multitude of perimeter LEDs that emit a soft golden glow around the ceiling line, elegant strings and wall contours.

A shelf unit is buried in the side of the storage wall. The decorally backlit shelves function twice as wall light next to the sofa.

Abstract art unites all tonal nuances into one definitive piece.

The elegant lounge chair is the Armchair this was designed by Pierre Jeanneret in the 1950s.

A shallow media unit makes space saving under the wall TV.

The elevated bedroom platform houses a bunk bed. The small change in floor height and material clearly differentiates the sleeping space from the directly adjoining living room.

A back niche creates the impression of a modern fireplace at the foot of the bed. Built-in storage units are banked along both ends of the bed, providing most of the storage for the apartment.

A soft gray bed set and brown accent cushions give a coherent continuation of the living room decorative palette. Natural light from the large windows flows unhindered over the low bed.

The L-shaped kitchen layout divides the overall living space of a glass wall bathroom project.

The kitchen units build a small privacy screen behind the glass toilet.

The stone vanity cuts through the glass wall of the bathroom to form an external shelf for the entrance.

Extreme white and pale gray decoration with natural wood and woven accents create this Scandi-inspired studio. A gallery of monochrome murals and two textured area rugs surround the living room area.

A large wall shelf is delicately arranged with a multitude of project objects, decorative vases, books and candles, with a practical row of rattan stocks curved uniformly along the baseline.

Pure black curtains complement the black powder shelves and monochrome artwork.

Rustic log side tables serve the bedspreads, sofa and even the kitchen.

Shorter black-coated shelves create an open pantry in the small kitchen, where they create a dark contrast against white and oak cabinets.

Another white, gray and wooden study space takes on a slightly darker tone, with walnut furniture and graphite accents. A small sofa splits ideally between the kitchen and a half-paneled room across the bedroom.

The upper half of the room partition is glass to allow light from the single window to illuminate the entire study, up to the kitchen dining room behind.

This 30 square meter apartment is located in Kiev, Ukraine. Colorful accents insert an element of fun into a layered botanical place where indoor plants dominate.

Two round coffee tables place a sharp black accent in the center of the predominantly green living room.

This project saw minimal compromises to ensure maximum self-expression of the client. The clean layout was constructed with a simple material that achieves zoning under different colors.

A combination of green and blue decorative elements encloses the bedroom corner. Alternating areas of dense, deeply saturated color with light and airy expanses, the home interior looks more spacious than its actual dimensions.

A small dining table anchors a heavy black accent amidst the abundance of white surfaces in the kitchen.

White integrated appliances complete the all-white kitchen run.

Pink kitchen cabinets set a warm contrast against the white wall.

The pink and white galley kitchen colors an attractive corridor of the home entrance. A mirrored wall increases the space feel at the front door.

In the bathroom, an orange ceiling and matching skill add a playful punch.

Terraced tiles form a fashionable back splash.

Studio apartment.

Our final residence is a bright, fun and vibrant Parisian apartment of 30 square meters. Watery blue and yellow accents create a sense of movement in the small surroundings. Three unique kitchen hanging lights mark the edge of the kitchen dining area above a portable dining island.

The original flat configuration was transformed from four separate dark rooms to accommodate a new open living space.

The reconfigured free space benefits from the combined light of two windows.

A long white and birch plywood unit runs along the length of the plateau, forming a spine of universal storage. An electrical panel is hidden here, along with integrated appliances, a pantry, a refrigerator, a wine cellar, a TV and a closet.

The raised, cabin-like, sleeping space hides a large storage compartment in the floor.

The intimate bathroom only measures just 2.3 square meters.

Geometric tiles form a striking graphic floor treatment under a small rural sink.
