Cozy-Chic Interiors: Grey Decor & Wood Accents

This 145 square meter home design is located in Frankfurt, Germany. A set of tones and textures are put together to create a comfortable modern apartment, with just a hint of bohemian essence. A tan ottoman makes a soft, tonal contrast with a gray tufted sofa design, while a small side table cuts a clear white silhouette.

Behind the tufted sofa, crested plaster wall panels draw a deep textural interest that is exaggerated under dark graphite paint. Two modern works of art combine several decorative shades to form a single cohesive focus.

A A traveler’s palm fills the corner of the living room with the architectural beauty of nature and rich emerald color. A slim floor lamp matches its height.

A pair of lounge chairs are set up in front of the window to form an L-shaped furniture arrangement without blocking too much of the natural light. At the end of a large area rug, the final living room wall is dedicated to a custom media cabinet that wraps smoothly into the adjoining kitchen.

The wide doorway between the living room and kitchen keeps the flow open.

Outside the home entrance, a fabulous floating staircase winds around a wide staircase. The modern design rises with a bold orange color blocked paint feature that rises and falls in an abstract silhouette.

Built-in bookshelves and storage units practice use of the spacious entrance. Indoor plants separate from the black bookcases to form small bursts of vibrant greenery.

Glass railing preserves the floating effect of the staircase, allowing the edges of the steps to pass through without obstruction.

Decorative vases and small sculptures make up an interesting stop in the corridor.

Back in the kitchen dining room, ripe cactus completes the vertical linearity of the woven wall panels.

A bench of high-gray kitchen cabinets forms the wandering wall between the living room and the extraordinary orange corridor.

In our second featured home design, a comfortable modular sofa is installed centrally in the living room, leaving a small path around it to access the kitchen. A striking floor lamp fills the vacant corner behind the couch, while a modern coffee table occupies the area in front.

The gray living room gets the depth of a dark concrete focal wall that is atmospherically lit from above by a bright ribbon of LEDs. A second ribbon of light runs under a floating media at the base of the wall to complete the moody effect.
