Resting gently on the undulating green ground of Bragança Paulista in the state of São Paulo, Brazil, this luxurious home design respects its place. Created by an architectural firm Jurij Vital, the 693-square-foot house was designed as a perfectly linear volume that draws in both intimate and distant views of the beautiful valley ahead. A board-shaped concrete exterior shapes the modern home exterior, along with huge expanses of wooden shutters. Cantilevered volumes float lightly between oblique structural walls on each side of the house. Elegant supporting pillars meet the grassy ground or sink gently into the water mirror that surrounds the front of the farm.

Raised high on elegant stilts, this linear home design seems to float lightly over its picturesque surroundings of mature bushes and trees, and a cover of abundant green grass.

The increased disposition of the home gives a more desirable view over the valley which develops before it.

The entire front face of the modern home exterior is open to the peaceful panorama through edge-to-edge windows.

Wooden shutters filter out direct sunlight to keep the home cool under the Brazilian sunlight.

Massive sloping concrete wings protrude from the sides of the house, giving it a sense of complete privacy despite its mostly glass composition.

The shutters can be fully retracted so that homeowners can enjoy a completely unobstructed view.

Slender supporting pillars lie in the leafy ground beneath the house, disappearing subtly into the shadows there.

Once inside the home, a wide, open plan living space lives with natural light and an airy atmosphere. Cognac-colored leather chairs and a coordinating leather sofa add warm accents to cool gray and white living room decor. The cognac upholstery and natural wood furniture frame complete the expanse of wooden shutters at huge living room windows.

The large lounge layout enjoys a lack of support points that leave the view of the valley wide open.

An orange curved sofa adds a burst of energy to the color palette of a second lounge area. The bright accent piece is counterbalanced by exposed concrete statement wall and cool gray tiles. A long linear hanging light extends across the living room, crossing over a unique glass coffee table.

A formal dining room separates the two lounge spaces.

The large dining room is furnished to accommodate up to ten people during meal time.

At the end of the long settlement, several triangular hanging chairs hang lazily in the sunlight. The chairs can be turned towards each other in a conversational arrangement, or rotated to serve as private reading captions.

The triangular hanging chairs are inspired by the oblique angles within the architecture of the home itself. Triangular windows cut an interesting window around the property. A glass entrance almost disappears under the visual weight of the main concrete volume.

Decorative pool makes the core of the central patio design. Stone walls build a rustic boundary around the pool and the home perimeter. Outdoor stairs lead from the courtyard to a glass balcony and into the home.

Molded concrete walls give the home an industrial essence.

Exquisite silhouettes of nature counterbalance the industrial style weight of the architecture.

The pool at the front of the property gives a charming reflection.

The modern home is slowly sinking into the mountainside.

The home design is arranged as a U-shaped layout. Social housing is all grouped within the south wing, while the private bedrooms are grouped on the north side of the house. The west-facing transitional space hooks around the courtyard, drawing in views from both sides.

The wonderful green surroundings surround the whole house.

A sense of serenity shone across the water mirror.

The unique composition of the home creates individual moments of privacy and relationship.

Private balconies accompany the bedrooms.

Pipework is chosen under a bright orange coating rather than disguised and concealed, which adds to the industrial essence of the exterior.

The massive structure sways on tiny anchor points that reflect in the sunlit waters of the pool.

Glass walls form an impenetrable dwelling that feels one with the outside environment.

The wooden shutters deliver a magical play of light over the home interior.

The home sinks into the cushion of sloping ground.

Roof overhangs give shade to the indoor and outdoor living spaces.

A large terrace with a rectangular pool extends the width of the property.

A serpentine driveway winds up to the main highway house, rising steadily through the landscape. The U-shaped house is protected around the private courtyard design.

The south-facing social wing is segmented into incompatible corner parts for cover and ventilation.

In the evening, the house lights up the landscape like a horizontal lantern.

The lighted side wings light up the inner courtyard under the night sky.

A site map showing land and the water mirror that fills the front of the property and the central courtyard.

A floor plan illustrating the U-shaped layout of the home interior. In addition to the separate kitchen and pantry, the fluid sequence of social areas is composed of lounges and dining rooms. Bedroom series and their private balconies occupy the opposite side of the perimeter.
